Veggie tator tot nachos

It's really disappointing that such a good, well known burger spot doesn't make in-house veggie burgers. Beyond Meat & Impossible Meat are both disgusting! They've also heavily cut back on portions but yet the prices are higher. It's just not worth it for a veggie burger there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Still always a cool, fun spot to drink at though![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]very cool spot. Looks intimidating from the outside, but the food and service make it worth it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you can tell by the pictures, there's a lot of red light but I assure you it does not distract from the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is cool but the food is the star.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a delicious black bean burger that can be subbed in for any meat patty, which is rare and special! It goes beautifully with their blue cheese mushroom burger. Their drink menu is also extensive, with a great range of beers and quality bloody Marys. The food came out quickly and the drinks did too! Will be back.

BBQ Bacon Mac N Cheese

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is quite an experience! It's hard to miss the iconic dizzy skull exterior of this restaurant, but the inside has even more character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is decked out in eclectic and some explicit decorations, and I truly understand why they strictly enforce 21+.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My boyfriend and I were carded upon walking in, were promptly seated, and took a second to soak in the vibes of this place. I got the BBQ Bacon Mac N Cheese burger and it was good! I really like how the cost of the burger includes a side. I got their tater tots which were exactly to my liking. It's not the most impressive burger that I've had, but it definitely is a solid burger. Would definitely come back to try some of their other burgers, as well as take out of town visitors here. It's a memorable place to visit! Free parking for Vortex patrons - just make sure you park in the correct spots marked for Vortex because there is a paid lot right next to it. Parking lot is on the smaller side.

First time I was here I visited years ago 2018 I believe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At the time they had smoking cigarettes going on overwhelming and like a cloud of smoke through out this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I placed a to go order and I never went back here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I see since 2019 it's non smoking which is great I actually read this on the website recently.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got my food through Uber Eats. I got a cheeseburger with pimento cheese and fries. The burger was cooked good and had a char taste to it. I just think that if they had a sauce it will add to the taste of the burger. The burger taste great and the fries. I got my order on 1-26-2026. Pull up and check them out for yourself.

I came here for the little five points Halloween festivities and of course I had to drop in and get a coronary bypass because when you need a good nasty burger I do not know any who does it better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Check your blood pressure after taking the scenery and stop by and get a drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be back. The service was great and they handled the crowd outside very well. I was not a fan of the $20 parking but that was just for the night and I definitely left my to go box full of all of my leftovers, but I don't usually heat up burgers anyway even though I would've loved the opportunity to think about it. I was a little salty. Anyhooooooo I will be back.

I feel very lucky to have been able to be sucked into the Vortex while visiting Atlanta! This is such a fun local spot featuring plenty of burgers, brews, and cocktails. I loved that their blue cheese burger featured a spread rather than just chunks of blue cheese. If you are a chimichanga fan, don't forget to try their Mac & cheese change appetizer! And pro tip, get the souvenir cup!

The fat Elvis Burger. With plantains and peanut butter, it was rich and delightful.

Now I'm a sucker for peanut butter but put that on a burger with a plantain and you have sold me for life (fat Elvis burger). This is my first trip to the Vortex and it will not be the last. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were lucky enough to hit it mid afternoon on a Saturday and the decor is amazing. There are so many cool things on the walls and hanging from the ceilings. It feels like the essence of rock and roll if that makes sense.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was fast and I asked for a recommendation between the find Elvis and the shroom burger and I was told that they were both solid but there was only one Elvis. They didn't steare me wrong! But I will be back for the shroom burger at some point. Little five points is five stars in my book.

The experience was different; the vibe was great, and the service was pretty normal. The bartender was the life of the party. Burger 3/10 Chicken 9/10 (sauce 3/10) Sliders 10/10 Fried pickles 10/20 Tots 9/10

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Excellent food and ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great, as always. If you like fried pickles, they have the best in the state in my opinion. They're spears, not chips, and I hope they never change. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only things that were drawbacks for us were the fact that my husband said the men's restroom was EXTREMELY tiny (the women's had room lol) and parking cost $15.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Outside of that, the experience was great as usual!

So yummy! They have a unique vibe, comfortable atmosphere, good service, and great food! I'll be back for sure!

bbq bacon mac & cheese burger

My friends and I came here the other day and were seated right away. Our server was nice but the service was bad. We all ordered the bbq bacon mac & cheese burger because it sounded really good. What a huge disappointment though. A place that is known for burgers doesn't make them well. The burger was barely cheesy. The mac was so dry. When our server asked if we wanted any sauces on the side, he didn't tell us it would cost $1 per sauce until we got the check. Food and service was bad. It was around $20 and I've had cheaper burgers taste better. Will not be coming back here!

Cheese balls App-so good.

The Vortex never disappoints! Hubby and I sat on the top patio, which was a first for us. We enjoyed the atmosphere, even though there was lots of pollen. There was a festival in the streets around us that was going on, it brought some music and a nice atmosphere. I tried the Pineapple Express and my husband had Skull Crusher drink and they both were fabulous. I will definitely get the Pineapple Express again. Of course we got the cheese balls for an app which were delicious. I had the Pickle Rick burger again and the hubby had the Classic Bypass burger. We were seated as soon as we walked in and our server was fabulous and attentive to our needs. Can't wait to go back for another Pineapple Express and a yummy burger.

$$ The ambience was fabulous! Our server was wonderful, and the food was good. We dined here prior to going to a concert in the vicinity. There's all sorts of historical paraphernalia all over the bar... For those of you who enjoy looking around. For you ladies, the bathroom was clean and large. Make memories and safe travels!

There probably isn't a bar in the city that offers as breathtaking of a view as does Moonlight. The panorama of all three of Atlanta's skyscraper centers is clearly visible, along with the historical architecture of Ponce City Market. The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks.

Please do not expect a full dinner but there are great options to keep the night going. I was kinda sad that both myself and my friend were celebrating our birthday but because we were the same table, we could only get one glass of champagne. It does get crowded and I really suggest making a reservation. I made one and even still it took ages to get a table. A reservation doesn't promise a table right away but keeps you in an active queue. I can't wait to go back again.

Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

He flirted a lot with my friend and it was a silly moment. We went back to enjoy a night out again before heading home the next day and Jack was there again. Because my friend had had such a good time chatting with him before she flirted back a little bit and was just enjoying the night. We ordered food and drinks and things were going well. Throughout the night Jack and my friend would sneak off and talk and make out while he was on the clock. None of this mattered to me because who cares, it's a bar, we're young and just having a bit of fun. However after we left the bar he texted my friend that it was "messed up" we only tipped 15% on our $193 bill claiming he "took care of so much" for us. I'm not even sure what that means because again - our bill for that night was almost $200. The food was amazing - I need the salsa recipe STAT - but overall the bartender ended up being kind of a jerk that seemed like he was just doing all this to get laid. Earlier this week (mind you it's July) I went back to give this place a second chance and the bartender mentioned before - JACK - was asked by one of my friends if we could get green tea shots and he felt it appropriate to confront me about this review. I apologized if my math was wrong because he claimed i only tipped 13% & not 15% was constantly saying "20% is standard" (not true but whatever) and then when i said he claimed to take care of so much HE claimed the bill should've been $250 and then said "but i understand your white entitlement lets you think you can do whatever" (idk i blacked out with rage after "white entitlement") MIND YOU you i'm half chinese not that it matters, jack - cause i know you're reading this - & i of course got heated because HES ALSO WHITE so clearly HIS white entitlement lets him think he can be hateful to patrons for reviews regardless of wether or not they try to take ownership of their faults. Needless to say the staff here is awful and I will NEVER come back to this bar so enjoy that win, Jack.

I wouldn't recommend the Korean bbq wings since it didn't have enough tangyness to it and didn't stand out. The French fries are a must order. The fries were so crunchy, and they were still crunchy even towards the end when we were almost finished eating.
