I went here for the first time since they opened almost a year ago and I'm mad that I haven't been earlier. The bartenders are fantastic - super friendly and they create a very fun environment too. There's lots of TVs so it's a great spot to watch sports games, and they even built a whole outdoor patio area that has a giant screen and lots of seating. I really only come here for the wings, but overall I like this place and the facility is nice. My only issue is if you only have one flavor of wings they should taste the same each and every time, but they don't. Sometimes they are amazing and sometimes they are lacking. My last batch had far less sauce than normal which made them lack flavor. They been slightly different each time I've ordered them. I'd give 5 stars if it weren't for that. Sadly underwhelmed by our first visit to Chiringa, although I understand they are still new and things are likely being worked out. This area on the beltline is great and there is ample outdoor seating which is perfect for the weather this time of year. Great layout. Service was a little bit of a mess. We were lined up to order at the registers but the staff kept calling people forward to order that weren't in the ordering line, so we were cut multiple times and ended up waiting about 20 minutes to order in a line that would've been 5 minutes or less anywhere else. Once we were seated, the wrong orders were brought over and part of it forgotten until we were nearly ready to leave. We started off with the chips and salsa which is 1) expensive for chips and salsa and 2) SO so bad and bland. Do not order this - tastes like they just put plain diced tomatoes in a bowl with nothing else, + chips were cold (not fresh, maybe from a bag?) and had no salt on them Highlight of this spot for me is that they have gluten free chicken fingers which is a rare find. They were fine and there were 5+ of them on the plate for $15. Their honey mustard is way too sour (?) to enjoy with chicken fingers, so order a different sauce for dipping (they have a ton of options here!) Otherwise, one person at our table had a stale bun on their chicken sandwich and some of the strawberries at the bottom of my seasonal fruit cup were actually rotten. Plantains were the highlight of the meal. Might return and give it another chance once they hopefully streamline some of the issues that come with opening, but not anytime soon. read more

Must try - Chiringa house margarita! I wasn't wowed by the tacos or wings (if anything, a tad expensive for the amount of food and long wait time), but the margarita was delicious and very strong. ABSOLUTELY delicious! The plantain were cooked to perfection and the quinoa was SOOOO flavorful. The addition of fresh veggies - some raw, some cooked - was a great addition. If you are gluten free or intolerant, you should check this place out! I've tried a few different things here, but the best part is that I can indulge in delicious fried foods that I normally don't get to enjoy at most other restaurants. My last visit, I tried the crab & shrimp fritters, which were a 12/10! Get a couple extra sauces, because they make them in house and each one is amazing! They also have a gluten free beer and their frozen margarita should not be overlooked. Service was nice. This location is brand new so the vibes are great. I love the beltline energy ..most of us eating were stopping from a walk. I can tell they will need to work on the menu and the flavors because most of the food wasn't seasoned well. I ordered a lot and the best tasting items were the fried shrimp, plantains, and the fish sandwich . I really didn't like the tacos, cucumber salad, rice, fritters, or fish& fries. I think the same batter is used for all the fried items which meant each item wasn't flavored specifically. The drink menus is nice this will be a great summer spot. You would never know you are eating gluten free (offers non gluten free as well). I am addicted to Chiringa! No where else in the area can you get fried fish, fried chicken, fried pickles, etc and on top of that tastes really really good! I've been eating here for several months. Food was very underwhelming for the price! The staff was so sweet but I won't be visiting again! None of the cocktails we ordered were made correctly -- mojito was straight lime juice, and jalapeño mango margarita was straight jalapeño flavor. We ordered the chips and salsa which were entirely undersalted and flavorless. For the main meal we ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and the Cuban sandwich -- the chicken sandwich was a bit boring and came with no toppings and the Cuban sandwich was burnt and hard as a rock! Extremely poor service and very bland food. If you're looking for a mediocre restaurant to eat at for a $60 dinner then this is the place for you. Cuban sandwich had very little flavor and the meat was dry. The white rice in the poke bowl was completely burnt and hard and not very edible. We complained and were told that nothing was wrong with it and they'd try again and they did replace it and it was much better. The manager dealt with the situation very poorly and didn't seem to care but the replaced meal was much better. There's a lot of potential but extremely bad execution and management it seems. read more

We were excited to try a new spot on the Beltline for lunch but unfortunately had a horrible experience at the newly opened Chiringa. The concept and setting are lovely, but they're clearly struggling with execution and desperately need an experienced front of house manager with strong customer service skills. The service was definitely among the worst I've experienced, and that's saying something. After ordering we took a seat and waited and waited and waited. The table in front of us stopped (who I'd later learn was the owner) to ask if they could at least get their toddler's food (they sat down after us but were clearly frustrated as well). My husband (much more patient that I) was frustrated that after waiting at least 15 minutes we hadn't even gotten our guacamole, but what pushed him to get up and ask about our food was seeing a woman order, then immediately claim an order of guacamole from a server who seemed to be wandering around looking for the right table to deliver it to. It seemed he just gave it to her because she "claimed" it. After my husband was gone for about 5 minutes, I joined to see if he'd made any progress expediting our food. On my way back to our table outside, I saw the owner and expressed my frustration with the extensive wait. He immediately became defensive and offered a refund (to his credit). Apparently, he (and another team member) were unable to provide a receipt showing the $100+ refund so he suggested taking a picture of their screen. (The credit does now appear to be processing on our account.) Oddly - completely unsolicited - he offered his card (Owner Andy M.) and said that I was free to "call him a horrible person on social media". Clearly, he's frustrated and the restaurant is still figuring things out (to be charitable), but in addition to fixing whatever isn't working well in the kitchen, I'd also suggest they get a customer service focused professional for the front of the house. At the end of the day if you're going to charge $21.99 for Ahi tuna tacos, you've got to offer a decent guest experience. Fortunately, we just strolled down to Hawker's and had a fabulous uneventful lunch. I realize that new restaurants often struggle early on so I hope they're able to work out the kinks and prosper. It seems like it would be a great addition to the Beltline landscape. read more

Ubered here from the airport to experience the beltline. Stumbled upon this place and it was FANTASTIC. wings are a must have. Frozen drinks incredible too. Tacos also great - Baja fried fish are the way to go!! Vibe - sports bar but "beachy" / outdoorsy. Cornhole and big screens. Oh My, where do I begin? I'll start with the positive.... The staff are very courteous and customer service oriented. Also, the location is great if you like activities near Krog St. and the Belt Line. Unfortunately, those were the only positives. We ordered a chicken sandwich, which was overcooked; and shrimp /crab fritters that were runny inside and not good. The fries were ok. The side salad with lemon vinaigrette simply tasted like olive oil w/o seasoning. We did not bother sending it back or addressing it because we knew we did not want anything else and would not be returning for the next reason. The owner/manager( tall, white, bald/low hair guy) is filthy!!!! I assume he was a manager/owner by his interactions with the staff. He sat in the restaurant near the bar on the green turf petting his dog then proceeded to walk behind the bar and refill his beer without washing his hands. Then he takes the dog bowl behind the bar and fills it with water. An unclean bowl that a dog has been using and you're filling it behind the bar that is used to serve patrons!!!!! I also witnessed an employee petting a dog and come back behind the bar to continue making drinks w/o washing his hands. The last thing I have to mention is one of the servers sampling fries that he was bringing out to a customer. You simply should not do that. Do they realize you are servicing the public and cross contamination can cause illnesses? I understand how people are about their dogs, but dogs are not clean and you should take precautions to make sure you are subjecting your patrons to this uncleanliness. I rarely write reviews based on the food because taste is subjective. However, when it comes to the cleanliness/sanitation of a restaurant, there is a food code that you should abide by at all times; not just at the time the health inspector is there to observe you. If you're looking for a place to take your kids or just a day of fun with friends, then Chiringa is the place for you! It's the perfect spot on the Beltline, so you are able to hop from one place to the next BUT once you get there you aren't going to want to leave. OG Margarita, hands down the BEST margarita in all of Georgia. Lobster roll and tuna poke are to die for. If you bring your kids, they have the best kids menu with the best prices. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. Both Andy and David the owners help to make sure you have the best experience and they are always there to greet you and check in on you. There are jinga games and corn hole and an awesome outdoor patio that is turfed, and a water bowl for your dogs at every picnic table. Can you tell how much I love this place?!
