I was going to V's for a little more than a year. At first they did a great job of cutting my hair and over time they were leaving long hairs in spots and ignoring other spots! I had them use a #6 clipper guard over my head and clean up around my ears and neck, should be simple enough for a child to do. They screwed that up! Kirsti is amazing! She didn't have much to work with, but she sure polished me up, beard, trim, nose, and ear wax, the full shebang. She is absolutely amazing. I look like a totally different person and feel like it too. She could do the same thing for you, even if she's already got a lot to work with, if you know what I mean. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are super friendly. Make sure you make an appointment online or over the phone, because they are getting famous and you could literally be in line behind 10 people, it is really a great place. The only thing they don't do is color your hair, but if you want to do that, go to a foo foo salon Check it out K and Courtney are also amazing and so is Emily. I have been coming to this location for 4 years and cutting my hair and my three sons. Today we had an appointment at 10:30 and we arrived at 10:17. She said our appointment was at 10 and we missed it that we would have to reschedule. She was very rude and unhelpful. After the experience we had today with the girl who answers the phone and sweeps the floor we will no longer be going to this location. Highly recommend Aurora! I brought my son in for a quick haircut before his basketball game. Barbershop is located in a nice plaza off of 1093, but traffic can be bad so plan accordingly. Our appointment was at 4:30 and we were taken care of immediately. I showed Aurora a sample picture of what we would like for his cut. She took a good look, and got to work. Seating is located against the wall so I can stay in good view of the haircut. Barbers are wearing masks, and the atmosphere seems nice. Individual TV's located in the client's view with nicely organized sports memorabilia decorated along the walls. Aurora is very quiet, but seemed very polite. She would ask for my input and if I liked how it looked - and when I asked for a shorter cut, she immediately did just that. She spent a reasonable amount of time perfecting the cut to ensure that it looked perfect. Now, realistically, the haircut differed a bit from the picture I showed her, but it looked amazing. It suited my son very handsomely. Although she was kept to herself, she did an amazing job. Prices are incredibly affordable - his haircut was $20 even, but of course, I had to make sure to tip her for her work! Highly recommend this place! read more

Went in for the first time for a cut. Told the barber lady I wanted a low fade and to trim the top. Tell me where the fade is in my picture? Tell me, where the hell my hair went? I wanted to clean up my hair not look like a recruit fresh out of boot camp or a peaky blinder. I asked her "are you sure this is a low fade?" She said yes it was thinking I was an idiot. I was so excited to find a nice barbershop nearby. This shop just opened in may and is in a great location for those of you living in Katy, Fulshear, or Richmond. For the first time in his life, my 7 -year old son finally got a haircut that we both love. No one ever knows what to do with his fine, blonde head full of cowlicks, but Michele knew exactly what to do. My husband will also be really excited to check this place out. The atmosphere is really nice and they even have beer on tap available for the big guys. Although they have only been opened for a few weeks they all worked great together flipping those chairs. Not impressed with one of my sons haircut at all unfortunately. Especially for the price. I specifically stated short, classic clean cut and avoid military look. I don't know what's going on with my sons sides but they are pretty bad, and my son was actually very well behaved. Most definitely won't go back. I have been going by this location since my favorite barber moved from another business late last year. The service,appearance and atmosphere is very good for those needing a good quality haircut. In fact I drive further to get my haircut then the previous place I used to frequent. The cost is also lower and the same service other than a hair wash is offered here. Weekends it is first come first serve but the wait is usually not too bad. Weekdays I am able to make an appointment and usually they are running on time when I arrive. I hope they can retain their staff because I think this is a good local business to support. read more

I tried V's a few months back and wasn't that impressed to be honest. Firstly the guy that cut my hair did a terrible job above my forehead. I have a pretty simple hair cut but this dude just screwed it right up. Also the price. $28??? At a barber shop facing a field in Fulshear? I was working downtown before Christmas and the barber shop in the tunnels charges $20. How on earth they think they can charge $28 for a cut out here God knows. After tip you don't have much change out of $35. Too damned expensive for a barber shop. This isn't a salon providing men's haircuts! It's a shame as the place is quite nice. I would go back and try another barber but I refuse to be ripped off at those prices. read more

Horrible experience. This is the second time I have been to this place and the experience has been the same both times. The first time was when they just opened. I was glad that a high end barbershop was opening in the neighborhood. I went in to try it and got a poor haircut from the lady. The quality of haircut was no better than what you would get at a Great Clip. When you are paying $28 for a haircut, you expect much better quality. I attributed it to them just starting out and working towards getting the right barbers. I decided to give this place another try today with the hope that things had changed after a couple of months. No change. The haircut was just as bad. To top it off, the barber behaved like she was doing me a favor and chopped at my hair at record speed. A very poor experience overall. My experience today was sub par, perhaps I have very high expectations for barbershops that are within their class. Stating objective facts: Upon my arrival on a Sunday, I was promptly greeted and had zero wait time for my sons haircut, this was great. While every customer that arrived after me was offered a drink, I was not, this was slightly disappointing. Our barber although was nice wasn't very engaging, I just wasn't feeling the connection as someone who wants my son to be a repeat customer. Lastly the haircut: I chose to come here today for my son because it was close to home and I was tired of barbers giving my son a very nice fade, but were unable to sheer the top so I'd thought I'd give V's a try. I asked for a mid skin fade for my son with a side part, the fade was ok but the top was uneven all over, it's not like a layered cut where the intent is to show layers in the hair, in some parts it looked like an alligator took a big bite out of a layer of his hair. We didn't notice this until we came home and washed his hair that we noticed the flaws, obvious flaws! I feel this particular barber was inexperienced with cutting the #scumbagboogie, she wasn't every engaging and didn't bother to check the length of the hair all around the head to catch the uneven spots. The price didn't match the sub par experience and as a result we will not be returning. I would much rather make a 20 mile drive into town where I know I will get what I ask for. My new go-to barbershop! I've tried a few "high end men's only" barbershops (The Boardroom in Sugar Land and Katy and 18/8 Salon in Sugar Land). I have to say, this place gets it. $28 - Cheaper than the other two mentioned above ($43 Boardroom, $39 18/8) you get a quality haircut with a STRAIGHT razor neck shave that is accompanied by hot lather and a warm towel. Let me tell you, if you've never had hot lather with a warm towel, you're in for a pleasant surprise! Each booth as their on TV which is awesome! They have multiple craft beers to choose from, 2 on tap and a few different bottles. I opted to go with one of the ones on tap and I was offered a refill after I finished. Awesome! This was my third time going and my third barber/stylist. Naomi, Lisa and Vincent all cut well. Wouldn't hesitate to go back to either! Pet Peeves - Cannot book same day reservations and weekends are walk-in only. Not sure why same day isn't available? The weekend explanation to me, didn't make sense.
