OK, that happens, but after one year of on time payments and zero issues, I was gifted a legal notice on the Friday before Labor Day telling me to get out by Sep 30 or be sued. I found out the owner is well known and has tons of properties and was selling them all, so they KNEW. Yet they chose to wait. No empathy, no compassion, barely polite. It was a choice and they do not care about people. When I spoke with an owner of the company his response was "well we are loosing business so it's bad for us too". My life was turned upside down and it didn't have to be that way. 45-60 days would have made a world of difference. These people are awful.

Got to my apartment, and it had never been cleaned. My windows do not lock properly, had to run my water for 2 days non stop, no screens or blinds on any window. My door has a huge gap in it, so the cockroaches that are in every apartment come through my door. Any maintenance request you put in, they put a bandaid on it and don't fix it properly. But then they will bill you because the problem isn't there. My newest neighbor just moved in with her kids... and her unit is already flooding from an existing problem they knew about from the previous tenants leaving the place. Now there is mold in the walls, and all of us are dealing with the headache... even though JWB gutted the apartment 2 months ago for flooding damage.

I made the mistake of moving into a Hover Girl property. Move in inspection states everything is…read moreworking great. So many things not working and black mold concealed with two fresh pieces of wood nailed over. They demolished the sink area and left it like that for days now and won't work on it until next week. Dishwasher broken, AC issues thermostat replaced, horrid smell under sink with known issue covered with fresh wood. Air vents for AC coated with black and green. Someone spray painted white inside the vents to cover. As the other reviews say, no professional courtesy not taking responsibility for appliances broken and having leases that say you accept the rental "as is". Unethical, dishonest, and I have lived here 16 days. Believe the reviews. Does this look move in ready with a checklist that everything is working great?! It is now 83 degrees in the rental and the owner/Broker at Hover Girl said he is going to a wedding. He can't help. Update: The AC broke and spent the night in 87 degrees. Update August 23, 2026. The kitchen is in containment for black mold. I am being bullied by Hover Girl Properties. Instead of doing the right thing they are retaliating. I've been given 3 days at a hotel given the past 31/2 weeks. The "rebuild" is not until next Wednesday with no eta with completion. I've been here less than a month. Paid them $4k and they are repeatedly asking me to vacate instead of doing the right thing. They have finally agreed last week to "modify" their move in inspection that states everything is in working order. I paid almost $2k to move and 4k to them. Over 10 different vendors needed plumbers, electricians, AC repair, mold investigation, 21/2 hour mold remediation which usually takes 1 to 5 days. They have made me the bad guy in spite of attempting to sell the property and then renting to me. They have taken down my pictures. The owner Glenn Doyle and his wife should be ashamed of themselves but they are on another vacation out of the country.
