"I'm seriously in love with this place!" I rarely trust anyone with my eyebrows after a lot of disasters at others. When I saw an add that they were looking for models for micro- blading. I went on fb and yelp and read all the reviews and did my research on micro-blading. I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect. When I went in the salon for my appointment it was a very clean atmosphere,energetic, and the students and staff were very welcoming and down to earth. I felt very pampered! The instructor's Vuu and Kim and student' Evelyn who did my eyebrows explained each step and asked what I was looking for. Of course I wanted the full bushy glamour eyebrows. ( back in the 90's I over plucked) the procedure was uncomfortable but not painful I have a high tolerance for pain. They also have numbing cream to help cope. After my brows were done I was all in awe....Because it was so realistic and they did an incredible job! I'm so pleased with my brows!!!! I no longer have to pencil them in and I just wake up feeling and looking that my eyebrows are on "fleek 24/7. I realized the important of eyebrow in my 21 birthday when I first had my friend done the make up on my eyebrow. It made my face look stunning! Then I decide to have microblading in order to have perfect eyebrow every day without wasting my morning time to do make up. I did some research on the internet to look for a prestige beauty salon, and I found Vuu Beauty School. At first I little bit hesitated because this is a beauty school, so probably they don't have a lot of experiences. However, the result is much better than I expect. It does hurt but only a little. My eyebrows look very natural in perfectly brown curved shape. They said I need to touch up once a year to retain the shape and saturation of pigment. Actually I am considering to take a Microblading course here after talking with the owner, who is also a friendly & experient teacher of this course. I went into Vuu's knowing full well that I could walk out looking like a shorn cat, hideous and defeated. But for $6 - there isn't a lot of downside in relation to other cheap cuts out there, same potential for a bad haircut but a third of the price - so I went for it. Asked for a really light cut...but got a full on cut, : ). My hair doesn't look great, but it doesn't look bad. I'll take it! If the haircut was exactly what I had asked for, easy five stars and here's why. They were super nice, took their time(even though it's not what I wanted, they did a really good job on what they wanted which counts for something) and the shampoo and massage that came out of left field was AMAZING. Customer service was fantastic. I tipped really high because of this. For $13, tip included, I'll be coming back here frequently but next time I might ask for the instructor to cut instead of the student. read more

I went to Cookies store to buy a fortune cookies. I saw a business card for $7 haircut for men and $9 for women . I am really need a haircut also, so I decide to come to Vuu's Beauty School next to Rose's cookie factory. Yeah, I heard 2 to 3 people say " Hello" "Please have a seat". The stylist asked me " Are you new clients in this school?". I agreed with her then she told me " You will have a free shampoos, today" base on our promotion. I just think "any thing is free" all the time is not UHHHh. During the time she shampoo for me , she really give me real good massage. I feel my head is ton of stress relief. I'm very picky about how people do my haircut, and where should I go, and how much it will cost if I just want a basic haircut. I have tried a few places since I come to Seattle, finally I found Vuu's Beauty School that located in Chinatown. Don't think " well, Chinatown, cheap..." Yes, there is a lot of thing you can get for a good price , but you don't want pay a low price but the thing you don't like at all, or useless, right? Here is what I am going to describe The Vuu's Beauty School. First, it is a very clean place, this is important for me. Secondly, workers are trained very well. Their work is very detailed and careful. Third, it's only cost $7-$10 for a basic haircut. Once again, they do a good job really. I have been getting my hair cut at Vuu's Beauty School for 5+ years. The biggest draw for me is the pricing (just $7 for a men's cut ). The staff is very friendly, and although some of them do not speak too much English, you are usually able to communicate what you want without too much trouble. The owner, who is usually there when I have gotten my hair cut, is also very personable and pleasant. Typically, in my experience, there has not been too much of a wait time, and the haircut, itself, usually does not run past half an hour. Also probably worth mentioning that I have yet to receive a haircut that I was unsatisfied with. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a cheap and good quality haircut. read more

I received what I could easily consider the best haircut I've had in at least 5 years at Vuu's Beauty School. I was attracted to the prices and good reviews, and I was thrilled with the results. Women's cuts start at $8. Mine cost $15, but I was getting a good 4 inches trimmed and adding lots of layers. My stylist, Kim, (who I believe is also an instructor) was very friendly and worked meticulously on my layers. In an economy past, I was familiar with the work of stylists who charged 10 times what I paid at Vuu's. So I know high prices don't necessarily guarantee a good haircut and vice versa. After I finished in the Green Leaf restaurant, my girl friend and I walk toward to the corner , we saw the sign it's so interested. My girlfriend wants to do her nail, we decided go into Vuu's school. Beginning, I saw a young student , he is very welcome us to get sit down and wait for couple minutes . My girlfriend have to do gelish , so instead of waiting , i try the hair cut also. The student finished my hair was very confident, look like he is professional . I had originally found Vuu's last year as a very inexpensive place that was open past 5 for a quick cut. The atmosphere was nice, the people were nice, all in all a great place that ended up sticking out in my mind. A couple of months later, I was in dire need of an eyebrow waxing and didn't have much time to go anywhere. I found myself walking close to where I had first happened upon them, and decided to go back. Once again, I recieved excellent service, and was surrounded by great people. Phi did a great job with my hair. It was my first time coming after hearing recommendations to come here. Professional, quick, and skillful. The downside to here is the location. Of course, Chinatown has crazy drivers and parking was chaotic. It's so hard to find a spot to park without rounding back and forth and then run into rude people around the area. Also if you call beforehand to make sure Phi is available, you'll be charged for 'making an appointment.' Did not see that coming. If not, they'll just have somebody else do your hair. I take the class at Vuu beauty school . I am glad to learn a lot of technich in here. Being student i apprecited the staffs including Kelly , Nini , kim . All of them are really helping me. The thing i like i can practice with a lot of with live models , so i earn a lot of experience. After the class Kim still help me to answer the problem i could not know.
