I really enjoy Vystar Credit Union and all the wonderful services provided to me thru the years! I live in the Macclenny area but was in Lake City on Monday and needed to go the branch office there. Having never been inside it before, I was looking around to get my bearings and which direction to go, when this very friendly voice greeted me and offered her services if I needed help. Caitlin Spradley was the employee, and as it turned out, I DID need her assistance with a problem on one of my accounts. She quickly resolved the issue, explaining the reason for the problem, and assuring me that the credit union was aware of it in their system and working quickly to fix it. I also mentioned how hard it is to get through by phone, and she gave me her email address and offered for me to contact her directly if I had any more problems in the future. This review is reference Terrilynn Ratzlaff. I have a mother who has been recently diagnosed with Alzheimers. Part of her gaining acceptance into a proper medical facility to meet her needs, requires bank statements be submitted for certain time periods, for ultimate approval for institutional medicaid. I must have contacted Terrilynn a dozen times. Each time she was patient and extremely helpful. I am new to Alzeimers care for my parent as well as all of the documentation and redtape that goes along with her several medical approval processes, diagnoses, etc. Terrilynn made the bank part of the process stress free and was very helpful. THIS VyStar CLOSED a 100% DISABLED VETERANS account. (Balance was 5K + saving and 8K checking ) and left him STRANDED in northern Michigan with NO WAY to access HIS funds because they sent a check to his Lake City Florida address !!!!!! His crime? Although he TOLD them before leaving Florida where he would be staying they closed it anyway . To MAKE MATTERS WORSE , (if possible) all his bill were automatically withdrawn from VyStar !!! This DISABLED VETERAN DID NOTHING WRONG!! IT DOES GET WORSE ... HIS MILITARY disability AND his SOCIAL SECURITY are both direct deposit and because they CLOSED his account and his monthly check are floating in limbo!! I bank at Vystar in Lake City and I had an issue as we all do from time to time. I called and asked for Caitlin Spradley. I only talk to Caitlin. She is always so helpful and fast. Whatever I need help with, she gets it resolved fast. She is amazing. If it's her day off then I will wait till the next day so I can talk to her. One day we kept playing phone tag with each other so I sent her an email then from there is so much easier. No tag your it, just an email and we responded to the other ASAP. I've been with them for over 20 years, since back when they were still Jax Navy and I have never been disappointed. Lauren Houston, the Relationship Specialist that helped me, went above and beyond to help me set up my child's SSI account, and was very patient and so helpful and informant of everything. Just like the TV show cheers, they actually know you by name and I like that , the people there are so nice, while I could mention many, both Liz and Catlin always go above and beyond to ensure that what ever I needed was done. I have moved my business ess account over to the Vystart bank because of the help of Caitlin S. I think the bank is great for small businesses and have the tools to build the business. With loans, personal, business, lines of credit and automobile. I am pretty happy woth my banking relationship here. Only down side is the online banking needs more work. Lake City VyStar is the best credit union in the history of credit unions, and it is the best VyStar location in all of Florida and Georgia!! The staff there are extremely hard-working and it's clear they really care about the members. Only thing I would suggest is to build a location in Live Oak to better service the members who live further away. read more
