    Vietnamese iced coffee
    Ariana G.

I heard this place has gained alot of popularity in a short amount of time. I was in the area so I really wanted to give it a try. The menu is big so I def will be back to try other items on their menu! There was so much cute decor around the cafe! I got a Vietnamese iced coffee cause I needed something strong for work. It's definitely more on the bitter side so I would add more sweetness if you like it sweeter like I do. I added boba just cause but I could've gone without it. Next time I come, I really want to try their matcha.

Cute little cafe that has opened fairly recently. I stopped in to get us some drinks and was pleasantly surprised. I was a little stumped as to what to get my toddler (because if she doesn't have one, she's sharing mine) and they suggested the strawberry milk which she loved. And I tasted it too and it was really good--surprisingly so since I didn't expect to like it myself. I got a strawberry refresher for myself and it was yu-mmy. And perfect for the warm day. You can order at the counter or at one of the three order kiosks they have near the door. They also offer online ordering, though if they have any specials for the day I'm not sure they'd show up there. Luckily their standard menu will not disappoint!

Pretty decent cafe in the suburbs! I got the strawberry matcha latte and upgraded to a bear cup. The cup itself is so cute and I loved the little accessories that it comes with. The strawberry syrup is a little on the sweeter side. Next time I would get a little less sweet. I would come back here again!

bubble waffle, watermelon juice, double matcha latte

the food was delicious. i got the bubble waffle and the watermelon juice. the tables and overall aesthetic is so cute here. they also give games to play as well. the service was a little slow but we came during a rush. the watermelon juice tasted exactly like a watermelon on a summer day but it wasnt red like i expected. still very delicious

Great place and great vibes! Firstly, love the popmart decor, always great to see a fun little collection. The decor was inviting and relaxing to the point that my friends and I yapped there for a few hours! The drinks were great. I had a dirty matcha latte and I drank it quickly because it was great. Actually many of us bought matcha drinks coincidentally. They also had cheesecake, bubble waffles, and other quick food. The service was quick and simple. You can either order by the kiosk or to a person directly. Great experience and we'll be back!

Salted cream coffee 5 of 5: I have a weak spot for strong Vietnamese Coffee and this location has a good cup. The version I got has a salted cream on top which provides a very nice creamy contrasting taste. Service was excellent, speedy, and very friendly. They do have plenty of other unique options as well so give it a try and find your favorite drink.

The best and consistent coffee place I have been too. I get the salted cream coffee with the marble coffee because I like it sweeter but if you like a stronger less sweet go with the viet option. Their coffee always hits and has a rich thick texture. This place is always packed and busy which makes sense. I also got the bahn mi for the first time and it's pretty good. $8 is kinda pricey but is cheaper than other bahn mi places. It's a basic bahn mi but the bread was the perfect amount of crunchy to soft. I hate when the bread is to crunchy and hard it literally makes my mouth bleed but this bread was perfect! I forgot to take a pic of my bahn mi but this was my coffee and order. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Marble Coffee (Sweet)- a little too sweet for my hubby who likes things sweet The W Coffee-pandan milk and foam, coffee-delicious

A local person recommended this place. I love visiting new coffee shops while in town, I got the W coffee with panda and milk and my husband got marble coffee. We also got the Matcha croissant and avocado egg croissant. I really enjoyed my W coffee. It was not too sweet because usually I always adjust the sweetness. My husband's strength was a little too sweet so we asked them to modify it and they just put more coffee in it. The coffee shop is very clean and spacious.

W Coffee & Tea is a newer Vietnamese coffee shop that has opened; getting in and out may be a little tricky, as it's right off of Golf, across from the now-defunct Golf Mill shopping mall. We came here to get some caffeine fix in the morning, and tried: +the Vietnamese Coffee +a Latte with soy milk Both drinks were well-made and strong; I just wished that they don't skimp out when you request less ice... Ordering is done in the kiosks that they had, which was super convenient. Staff were kind and friendly, and there's ample seating inside to enjoy your beverages and treats, do some work, or play some catch up. Plenty of parking in the shared strip plaza lot. +kiosk ordering +friendly staff +parking available in shared strip plaza lot

If ur looking for good matcha in the Illinois suburbs, I would recommend this cafe !! They use a tasty matcha and it's not clumpy or bitter!! The color of the matcha is also good as well !! I got the mango matcha and they use real mango fruit, no syrup (thank goodness). Also, I appreciate how you can get zero sweetness for the matcha and milk alternatives. The workers are very friendly, and the cafe has lots of seating. Perfect for studying or meeting with a friend!! This will def be my go to matcha spot !

W? What is W? A Vietnamese coffee and tea shop. Where is W? 8600 W. Golf Road in Niles. Who is W? Nice people making delicious drinks and pastries in a peaceful setting. When is W? Every day until at least 8:30. Why is W? This is a new cafe with Vietnamese coffee and other hot and cold drinks. I had a matcha and strawberry latte, you can select the sweetener, adjust the level of sweetness and pick the kind of milk. It was just right -- I selected 50 percent sweet and added boba! I also had a really delicious pistachio croissant that they served warmed up and it was light and flaky. I'll have to come back and try a banh mi and coffee next time.

Literally love this cafe! It's rare to find a cafe that checks the box in both aesthetics and delicious food. It was so good the first time I went that I came again with my boyfriend. First time my friend and I got Glitter Mermaid Refresher, Iced Banana Coffee, Mango Tiramisu, Egg Croissant, Breakfast Croissant, Classic Tiramisu, and Pistachio Croissant. Second visit we got the Honey Cake, The W Coffee and Ham & Swiss Croissant. Definitely recommend The W Coffee, Mango Tiramisu and any of their croissants! Also their decor is so cute I love the floral decor and the pop mart items.

Guys please i really love this place so i have to tell them how much i love them. as an asian, californian, and as a matcha enthusiast, i swear on my life and the generations i will birth: THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST MATCHA IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA . Moreover-- i swear vietnamese cafes do it best. But THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. All their matcha options are good, and their fruit teas are balanced in fruit flavor and sweetness. Their matcha ingredients and tools are authentic adding the quality. Their vietnamese coffee is real and authentic, i know because their coffee gives me that crazy boost only viet coffee gives. Their staff are so super kind and comforting. The store is perfect to both study as they have WIFI but also wonderful for a hangout as they have sooooo many board games! I've had both their bahn mi and the egg sandwich and really please THIS IS THE BEST EGG SANDWICH IVE EVER HAD for its price it's so fresh and filling my only complaint is it takes 30 minutes to make when i order it and i really wish they mention it on the menu when you order it because as a healthcare worker and student-- i want to be able to grab a quick bite-- QUICK. but it's so good i don't mind waiting each time. but really i would die for their egg sandwich. It's so fresh and filling, one half fills me up for breakfast and the other half makes me full at lunch until dinner. MY RECOMMENDATIONS: Bahn Mi Egg Sandwich Any/All Matcha Drinks Ube Coffee Banana Coffee Lychee Fruit Tea this place deserves all the love and more!!!!!

Went with their all spice mofawar, and a cleaner palate one Qishr since hubby wanted something tea-like. After ordering all that, we noticed there's a separate tea option that had a citrusy flavor so we got the sunlit tangerine also. The drinks were very strong in a whole mix of spice flavors, which I actually really liked, but it is a little too watery, not dense or creamy enough, and the coffee flavor lean a bit more too acidic/sour. It's not bad, but I think it's just not exactly to my liking. What I didn't realize was that a lot of the spices sunk to the bottom so when I remixed the thic layer of spices with oatmilk at home, it tasted pretty good with the right consistency. All of the drinks were pretty diluted in our opinion, and I think it's too much spice for my husband although I liked it. I also ordered some pastries, but the server packed the wrong one. If I didn't look closely enough I might've missed that. There was one last Dubai pistachio cookie which I asked for, but they gave me the Biscoff cookie instead which was a less expensive one. Anyway, they were fine switching it out after I pointed out, but no apologies or anything. While we weren't impressed with the drinks at first, the medovik mouse/honey layered cake was really good-- it was pretty dense where the buttery parts were, and it was pretty sweet so it balanced well with the acidic coffee. We didn't know the cookie had more fillings on the inside until we got home. The fillings had crunchy flakes which adds a really nice texture, and the filling is not too sweet. Really good. We liked the pastries a lot more than the coffee. Perhaps we just aren't used to the flavor and taste profile of the coffee. I'd be willing to try more here.

Space is pretty big and nicely spread out so you're not sitting on top of one another. Just super expensive, especially for the bakery items! Like almost $15 a slice, which is crazy to me. Drinks are also pricey. XL Dubai chocolate cheesecake - Just ok. Bland and we didn't like the cheesecake texture. It was pretty flavorless overall. Chocolate baklava - Now this was the winner! It had cream inside which we didn't expect. Delicious! Harazi Mufawar (Coffee, cardamom & cream) - Delicious! They recommended adding sugar because it's too strong otherwise. It was still strong w regular sugar, so glad we did. Haraz Latte (Double shot espresso, honey, milk, haraz spice) - Very good! Didn't really come hot though, it was lukewarm Coffee Beans - $30 for a small sized bag. Pricey! Price - Expensive!! 0/5 for price, crazy expensive

To the right of the counter are some toys for the kids, including a kids motorcycle and other funs toys to keep the kiddos busy while their parents enjoy a magically concocted coffee drink by the shops artisans. The cafe is immaculate and service was very friendly. The person who took our order was patient as he explained the different pastries in the case. I wish they had signs explaining what each pastry was so I could have decided while waiting in line. We ended up sharing an iced pistachio latte (delicious and 10/10!), the pistachio cheesecake (10/10!), and the strawberry mousse cake (7/10 - a subtle sweetness, great texture, but needed more cake or crust inside as it was mostly whipped cream and the shell). The mousse cake was $12.00, which felt steep considering it was mostly whipped cream, even though it was obviously beautiful. We would definitely come back for the coffee and to try more menu items! I wanted to like it. I did. But after a few visits, it's just not for me…read more The first trip, I tried the Matari Tea: Green tea, Himalayan pink salt, milk, and spices, topped with roasted pistachios. Sounds good, right? Alas, it could not have been blander. I couldn't taste any "spices" or even the hint of salt. The profile was that of very watered-down tea mixed with milk, and a ton of pistachios floating on top. Like, barely crushed pistachios. Huge pieces, covering the top of the drink, bobbed around like tiny icebergs, and even they somehow had a toned-down flavor. The drink was definitely a swing and a miss. Fast forward two weeks, and I tried Matari again. This time with a simple cortado. I sat at the table right by the door, and the espresso was pretty good. Solid body, not too bitter. It was on the pricy side ($7+), but I was ok with that. But then, I'm hanging out, sipping my coffee, and I catch a burst of perfume-like scent. I'm shocked, but whatever, I figured someone in heavy perfume walked by, no big deal. A few minutes later, wham, I'm hit in the nose with another burst of perfume. Then, I see it. A slight haze around me. So, not a heavily perfumed woman after all, but an automated air-freshener. After further inspection, I see the unit plugged in on the ground right behind my chair, which sprays up and out on a timer. That's right, an air freshener right next to a table where people consume food and beverages, shooting a mist into the air that slowly rains down onto my head and table, and into my coffee. I ended up tossing the last few sips of my cortado, as I could taste the scented whatever-it-was in my cup. I'd have gone to the counter and asked for a new one, but I was so over my visit by then, I just opted to get out. The staff aren't very friendly. Not rude, but they don't give off a welcoming aura, and I didn't feel like trying to explain the issue. Lastly, can we talk about their little "your order is up" beepers? We've all seen them. The little electronic things that blink and make a noise when your order is ready, so you can go snag it from the counter. When I think of a coffee shop, I think quiet and peaceful, or perhaps a bit louder, with bustling people and well-paired music. At Matari, it's an insane BEEP BEEP BEEP that goes off every few minutes when an order is up. I get it, you don't want to bring the food out to your customers. But does it really need to feel like an airport Chili's? It's a bummer, because Matari is beautiful inside. It's clean, it's chic, and its location is at a notable crossroads in Skokie with plenty of parking, leaving it extremely convenient. They've even got an easy-to-use website, which so many coffee shops simply do not have. There aren't a lot of coffee shops in this particular part of town, which is why I so, so very much wanted to love Matari. But subpar drinks? Air freshener spray intrusions? Frequent and obnoxious beeping? I tried. I'm sorry. I just can't.
