I recently had an issue with my 2016 C-300. I had made an appointment with an independent tire dealer to get new tires for my car. After I dropped off my car the technician told me he couldn't locate the wheel key that removes the locking lugnuts on the wheels. Without the key, they wouldn't be able to put new tires on my car. The shop manager immediately got on the phone and called W.I. Simonson on Colorado Ave. in Santa Monica. He told me to check in with someone there who he knew, and they would assist me in getting the locking lugnuts removed from my wheels. When I arrived, the staff knew exactly who I was and they proceeded to take care of my needs. Tim, in service, was especially helpful in getting me out of there in under 30 mins. He followed through with the staff and made sure I was a priority. They treated me like I had been bringing my car there for years. During my wait, service sold me the replacement lugnuts I needed for the car. That was all I was charged for this visit. I returned to the tire dealer and had my tires put on an hour later. I had my car serviced here and I was so happy with Gabriel. What a great guy. I even had some scratches on my car that he was kind enough to say just bring it in and he buffed it out for me. The extra service and care really went a long way. I brought my car in for a prepaid maintenance as well as a recall issue and they washed and cleaned the car and even gave me a loaner last minute this team really went out of their way and I prefer this location over Beverly Hills any day so if you're considering a service station, I highly recommend Gabriel and This location. read more

Although Moe is an awesome person & will work with you. The actual team of mechanics are I don't even know what to say . Brought my 2013 cls550 for REGULAR maintenance. They said I needed new engine & transmission mounts. I know I didn't because I've owned a 1996 e320 & 2006 e350 for about 4/5 years each & they always recommended I get the engine & transmission mounts replaced but my car drove fine so I didn't do it. How ever since I had warranty & it covered about 90% of the cost I said sure go ahead on this cls550. After picking it up, they crashed & scraped by rear bumper really bad & didn't even bother to mention it. Saw it the next morning & took it back immediately. As I pulled in my car dropped all the way down form the airmatic suspension. Apparently it was malfunctioning, all of a sudden. They had my car for about 2.5 months because after they fixed the suspension it was still leaking air so they needed to fix something else. Ok great more money. 2.5 month after picking it up, the air matic suspension button doesn't work & the car goes into sports mode on its own everytime I turn it on & 10/20 seconds into driving it . The alignment is horrible as it pulls to the right a lot. In conclusion my car just needed regular maintenance & I should have never agreed to new engine & transmission mounts because what ever they did during the process just made my car 10x's worse. If you guys get recommended to replace engine or transmission mounts don't do it. Unless you hear & feel loud clunks when charging gears or car starts shaking bad after a certain high speed. Extremely disappointing that such a huge well known company would make things worse instead of better. & no matter what if I go back I'd still have to come out of pocket thousands of dollars again. read more

I don't own a Mercedes and I'm glad I don't after the experience I had. They couldn't give us a quote for the center console doors. We had to schedule an appt and bring it in for them to look at to tell us what we already knew, the doors have to be replaced. And then they have to order the part, then you have to bring it back in to get it repaired . OH, you can't get a loaner, you gotta book it out two weeks in advance. There is a good chance that if they have the part they can do it that day but most likely you're gonna have be inconvenienced twice. Thinking about calling corporate because they set you up for failure with this poorly designed center console. If you break one of the two doors in the center console , guess what? According to them, you gotta replace the whole thing! Like the whole entire centerpiece. I think they said that was over 3k. I could be wrong, but what else could it have been if I told you the plastic hinge broke and needed to be replaced ? What else would've broke that wouldn't require a total replacement? On top of being not helpful, they charge your service fee. That was $304 to tell me that I needed a new center console when I already told them that we needed new center console unless they could Just replace the doors because it's the shitty plastic hinge that broke. They couldn't answer any of my questions until I brought it in. Why is it plastic? My old ass Ford expedition 2010 has a metal one. Why is the newer fancy ass car built cheaper than my 2010? Then they told us we needed new tires and a new end cap for where you tow from cause apparently that was missing. A 3 x 3 inch square was gonna cost like over $400 cause it needs its special paint, ridiculous . When we declined everything they made me wait over 20 minutes to put the car "back together" Like what did you have to put together? What did you have to take apart? If you can show me, I'll be more than happy to eat my words and edit this post. I took my car to WI Simonson for a manufacturer safety recall. Even though they were busy, I was able to drop the car off Friday evening and leave it overnight. The dealership shuttled me home and back when my car was ready on Saturday. Antonio, my service advisor, was responsive, friendly, and really helpful throughout the process. be careful I bought 4 tires from them 5 months ago for $2,225, and one had a defect. I called before driving 1 hour and 40 minutes, and they told me to come for a replacement and just pay labor. They are not a super neighborhood gang yet, but they sure are close! I brought my four year old car in for service here and was very pleased with the experience. I explained to them that the car was very low mileage so I didn't need all of the scheduled maintenance done at this time. Because it hadn't been driven much I felt like I could wait awhile. They agreed so we limited the work to a couple of things. They adjusted the price down accordingly. When I came back to pick up the car, they told me that they had done the things I requested, and threw in all the other recommended things for the scheduled maintenance at no extra cost to me. I totally thought I reviewed these guys a long time ago... Anyway, service is always great. I've never had a bad experience. All of the guys are very nice and attentive and they do a great job servicing my car within a reasonable time. I do wish they had more loaner cars available and I'm curious to know how they decide who gets one as the policy/protocol is not clear. However, the wait room is decent enough with ample seating and coffee, so I typically don't mind waiting. If you plan of servicing your car here and waiting, make sure you bring something to entertain yourself with. Beware of this incredibly sketchy unprofessional dealership. Especially a Mercedes dealer where you would expect them to at least meet the basic standards of customer service! Were we set up for a Bait and Switch? We found a car (GLB 250) on Edmunds.com with low mileage and contacted the dealer. We had an appointment with Manager Fredy Giragodian to see the car. We cancelled our dinner plans with friends for the evening and drove 1 1/2 hours to the dealership. When we got there no one was on the lot and no one greeted us. Finally someone came across the street and asked if we needed help because Fredy was busy. When we told him the car we were there to see he told us the car was sold - and wanted to see if we were interested in looking at other cars. If in fact it was sold - and I'm not convinced it was sold or that they even have the car tor sale - then why not at least the professional courtesy of a simple phone call or text to save us the long drive - just to be disappointed? And Fredy didn't even have the decency to come out and tell us himself. This is how he manages the business? So why my concerns that they didn't have the car in the first place (or didn't intend to sell it at the listed price)? And why my concerns it was just a Bait/Switch scheme to get us on the lot to buy another car? According to the listing at Edmunds and the Simonson web site the CarFax report shows the car had been at the dealership for 2 months. Unsold and with numerous price drops. So we contact them and change all our plans and come to the dealership within 3 hours and the car has now magically sold in those few hours? Also there was a 20% discrepancy between the listed mileage of 4242 miles) and the Carfax mileage of 5026 miles (see photos). Wrong mileage?? Again really sketchy!! If you want to be scammed this is YOUR PLACE!!! They'll sell you a package for service with an all in deal. And then will call you once you leave to tell you they found this problem and that problem but it's not included in the package. The package is a bunch of junk you don't actually need. Not only that but my breaks were included in my package and are still squeaking so they obviously just scam and don't even address the issues. They will also try to sell you in a bunch of weird made up stuff saying there's a rodent nest. They will clean it for 300$. It's a MUST! I leave my car for diagnostics and am told they will update me so I know how to plan (rental car?), especially since they don't provide loaners. 5 days go by with zero communication. I call 4 times - no one knows what is happening with my car. The service tech working on it is out. The manager (Jason) supposedly says he will call me back each time - never once do I get a phone call. I still have zero updates about my vehicle. This is Mercedes! By far the worst customer service of any Mercedes service dept and I dealt with over charging on service 10 years ago. This is much worse. I have 2 issues. Leased a 450EQS and it has been in the shop for more than 2 weeks. Not a single update has been given. The head of sales (sales dept not an issue, Chris is always great) has spent time trying to get me answers and he even can't. This is a full electrical issue and Mercedes basically has no clue how to fix this. But not giving updates after numerous attempts to get one just proves they are ill equipped to be in the service business. Don't buy or lease an EQS from Santa Monica unless you can take the car to Beverly Hills or Van Nuys. Second issue is I brought my GLE in for an A3 service. They wanted to charge me over $1500 for a $259 dollar service performed at Van Nuys. What a scam. They should all be replaced and Mercedes Benz USA should reevaluate this dept. If you like paying $1,000 for an oil change then this is the place for you! Called to see how much it would be to get a Service B1 for my GLA. They told me they can't give me a price over the phone and that I had to bring it in early in the morning. Hauled a** to their service center only to get yelled at by the guy directing traffic, and to be told by someone with a clipboard (without looking at my car) that it's gonna be $1000. Mercedes own website says Service B should cost between $500-900 and some change. They legit just pulled $1K from nowhere without looking at my car and dragged me down there for no reason. Their prices suck the service sucks just like the corresponding dealership in Santa Monica - legit the worst service and attitudes I've ever encountered. Taking my car to a certified Mercedes mechanic who is doing the service B for $149. Shame on you Mercedes, this isn't how you should treat customers inflating prices based on zip code.
