I want to preface this by saying this review is strictly regarding the parts department. Though I'm sure the practice isn't isolated at such a small dealership. The story I'm about to share is a prime example of why I go to Beverly Hills Audi to both service and buy my Audi's even though Santa Monica Audi is less than 2 miles from my home. So I went onto the SANTA MONICA AUDI website (not the Audi website, the dealer's own) and I checked the price for the Tesla NACs adapter for my E-tron GT. As you can see from the attached photo, on the dealerships website there's a dealer price of $176.40 which is a moderate discount off of the MSRP of $200. You can choose to have it shipped to your home or buy and pick up from the dealership. The issue with ordering online and picking up from the dealership is that they say "it can take 2-3 days to process"; why wait when I can drive a mile and a half to pick it up in person and pay there (or so I thought). This is exactly what I decided to do this afternoon, I get to the parts desk and the woman working tells me "just so you know, our price is different from the online price, it's $300". So to be clear, they're charging people $100 OVER MSRP if I want to buy in person. (If you're willing to wait a couple of days you can buy the part on Amazon for around $180 btw) I pointed out that I could simply buy the item online (on their website) for the advertised price and pick it up at this very same location (see attached image). She said "I know but it goes to Audi first and then comes to us" I asked if that would that be processed immediately so I can "pick it up" now, or would I have to wait days? She said maybe tomorrow morning...they had the part in hand btw. I also pointed out that this wasn't the Audi brand website that I was on it was their dealership parts department (SANTA MONICA AUDI), which has the advertised pricing. "She said I know". Besides ripping off their own loyal customers by charging $100 more than MSRP, and not being solution oriented in the moment for someone who wants to give them money, as well as their refusal to honor their own advertising on their website (this was not a web deal, it literally says "dealer discount" at checkout). I wasn't going to give them any of my business on principle. I can drive down the road to Porsche Beverly Hills and buy the exact same part for the advertised price, or head over to Beverly Hills Audi service center on Fairfax and do the same. This yet another time I try and give this place an opportunity to win my business and money and they fail spectacularly, every, single, time. Caveat Emptor! read more

I am writing to formally address a serious issue regarding my Audi vehicle purchased from Audi Santa Monica. At the time of purchase, I paid for an extended warranty, and I was assured that it would be properly activated. I have all signed contracts and documentation confirming this purchase. Recently, after experiencing a mechanical failure, I had my vehicle towed to Audi Torrance for inspection. I was informed by their service department that my extended warranty was never activated. This came as a complete shock, as I fulfilled all contractual obligations at the time of purchase. I need my issue resolved immediately. I had a service appointment scheduled, yet I was left sitting and waiting while being told I could only work with one specific advisor. The process was inconvenient, inefficient, and the staff came across as apathetic and unconcerned about the customer experience. I ultimately left the dealership and drove out of my way to Audi of Beverly Hills. They answered the phone immediately, were accommodating, told me I could drop the car off quickly, and get on with my workday. I would not recommend Santa Monica Audi. I picked up a brand-new Q5 from Santa Monica Audi, and within minutes of driving off the lot, a warning light came on the dashboard. That was just the beginning. Here is the timeline of what has happened since: * Visit #1: Signal light issue immediately after purchase -- car goes back to the dealership * Visit #2: We pick it up and discover fresh paint scratches that were not there before * Visit #3: Car goes back in again to replace the bumper with the paint scratches -- when we return, the dashboard trim is scratched and needs to be replaced * Visit #4: We return to pick it up after the dashboard replacement -- and now the driver seat leather is wrinkled and damaged None of these issues existed prior to placing the car in the dealership's hands. Every single time the car has been returned to us, it has come back with new damage. During this entire process, the car spent nearly four weeks total at the dealership. We were also given multiple loaners that were dirty, had crumbs, sand, and personal belongings left inside. The most disappointing part was the response from the sales manager, Marie Goodrow. When we raised these issues, she told us it was not her responsibility, that she "does not actually work for Audi," and that they had already been "more than accommodating." This was said after the fourth time our car came back with additional damage. There has been no accountability, no urgency, and no real support. Instead of solutions, we were met with defensiveness and blame -- even as new damage kept appearing each time the car was returned to us. The most frustrating part isn't even the car at this point -- it's the complete lack of ownership from the person who was supposed to help resolve the situation. We regret choosing this dealership. If you are considering purchasing or servicing your vehicle here, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. read more

As an Audi enthusiast I hate writing this but this place has to go. - Awful buying experience, endless markups and negotiations to get a car here. Was dealing with a 20k markup on an rs car when paying cash for no reason and had to walk out twice before the little slime balls called me back and begged me to come back. They explained that they make more commissions when they put me in debt and prefer not to take cash for the car. - The service is horrible here. They spilled oil in my engine once.... when they weren't even changing the oil. Cost is far too much for labor and parts when they do an amateur job. Just do the maintenance yourself please and learn to change your own oil. The techs here are not smart or clean. - this is the worst part.... they markup parts, sometimes by 2x. Cost of oil here is $22 /quart which is randomly twice what it costs at any other dealership. They expect us to pay $180 for just oil not including labor? That's insane. All the other parts like tires, wheels, fluids are just double the price. This is literally the definition of a scam and not sure how corporate lets them get away with it. I guess there's no rules about parts markup?? Even a Pirelli tire was 2x the cost here. Oil filter marked up by 500% haha what a joke Beware people. I used to like this place, but I've now gotten smarter and realize what a grimy sleazy place this is and I'll probably have to drive to a different dealership now just to do basic services etc. read more

I called on Friday morning asking about taking my Subaru (purchased from Lithia Subaru, with Lithia Warranty, with Lithia lifetime oil changes) to this Lithia Audi (something I've done plenty of times in the past), the lady said they only work on Audis... I then told her that's not the case, and to talk to her manager. So she calls me back and says they can work on the Subaru. I say, ok, I would like and oil change and CVT fluid change for 60k schedule. She says she has to talk to her manager to get that price and she will call me back.... Never calls me back. I call Saturday midday 12/13, another lady, who sounds extraordinarily apathetic answers, I explain what I called about the day prior and that I need to schedule something asap. She says her manager can call me next week.... I say, "you can't just give me the quote and help me schedule something?" She says no, the manager is handling it... I say, "uhhh, ok I guess." *** BEWARE *** My Wife & I leased a Q6 in Sept. We purchased the $1,400 brake package and was told by their finance guy CHEIKH DICKO that it was refundable if done in a certain amount of time. In Oct I started reaching out to CHEIKH DICKO in order to facilitate the refund. Weeks went but without a response. When I finally spoke with him, he said he was sending over the paperwork immediately. 2 weeks go by & I follow up and get him to email to my email addy. Paperwork gets filled out & returned immediately & that was on 11/4... Ive been ghosted ever since. I've called & emailed multiple times to follow up. I've called & spoke to another gentleman named JOSH looking for help. I even went on their website and, through chat, complained and asked for help. Still crickets!!! They are a dishonest broker. After reading reviews on yelp, I see others had had similar interactions with this dealership. Buyer beware!!! Go to Bev Hills or ANY other dealership but NOT this one. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I brought my 2018 Audi A3 in due to a persistent "check oil" light that appeared almost monthly. After explaining the issue to service advisor Chris, I was told a diagnostic was needed. Despite the extended service time, no loaner vehicle was offered, forcing me to rent a car out of pocket. After several days, I was informed the issue had been "found" and was charged $1,500 for repairs. Shockingly, just one month later, the same "check oil" light reappeared. I contacted Chris immediately and brought the car back in. Again, no loaner was provided, and I had to follow up myself after nearly a week of silence. I was then told the engine had suffered "catastrophic damage" and needed replacement, pending approval from Audi North America. Once the warranty was approved, I was finally given a loaner--but only then. My vehicle remained in the shop for over six weeks due to "backordered parts" and technician availability. During this time, I was asked to swap loaners multiple times, including one instance where I was mistakenly given a vehicle they later reclaimed during my vacation. When I requested reimbursement for the initial $1,500 repair--given that it clearly didn't resolve the issue--I was met with a dismissive response: "It would have needed to be replaced anyway." Months later, I returned for my 60K mile service. I asked whether the oil change was necessary given the recent engine replacement. Chris insisted it was, and again I paid out of pocket. The inspection report indicated all systems were "green." Fast forward to today: I took my car to a third-party shop for brake pad replacement, only to be told the pads were fine--but my shocks were completely shot. The technician was stunned that this wasn't flagged during my recent 60K service, remarking that "someone must've been blind to miss this." At this point, I seriously question Audi Santa Monica's commitment to quality, transparency, and customer care. Santa Monica Audi for both sales and service are the worst. I made an appointment to test drive a 2023 CPO A5 this past March. Kate (my main contact) was very nice over text at first, but things very quickly changed after meeting in person. I barely put the car in park after the test drive and she (verbatim) said, "what are your intentions?" Side note: I'm not the small talk type, so to some extent I do appreciate the direct ask, but that approach was absolutely unprofessional. I attempted a conversation regarding price as I'd found the exact car in the Bay Area and was hoping to avoid having to fly up there. However, before I could even finish, she rudely waived off any possibility for discussion. In the same week, I tried to contact the dealership (again) in hopes to get a different sales person just to absolutely confirm no price reduction was possible. Instead, I get a text from Kate in a passive aggressive, almost taunting tone (screenshot included). She has her manager call me, who is unfathomably rude. She had an attitude as soon as I answered the phone. As if I had "the nerve" to ask about the price - she scoffed and says, "this is a brand new car!" .... LOL .... first of all, not looking to argue, but just because the mileage is low doesn't make it "brand new". It's literally a 2023 model in a sea of 2024s; It's listed for sale as Certified PREOWNED; You and Kate have made direct reference to the car being assigned to a "USED" Car Manager who determines how the car is priced. Brand new, where?! ** TO BE CLEAR, I have NO problem with their refusal to budge on the price. As a consumer, I understand the price is the price - I either pay it or I don't. However, if I find the same car, cheaper, and only a 45-min flight away, I'm 100000% still going to attempt to have that conversation to avoid making an unnecessary trip. What I DO have a problem with is the attitude and the aggression. As individuals of the sales & service industry (especially for a "luxury" brand), there should be a standard for professionalism and proper communication offered to your patrons. The bar is on the floor at this location -- giving people attitude for attempting a healthy/normal conversation around price (negotiable or not) on a large purchase is wild! ** TLDR (for the Sales Dept): I flew up to SF that weekend (see review on Royal Auto Group) to purchase the same car and drove it back home to LA. Fast forward 2 months later --- I'm running errands and a few random sensors pop up on my dashboard. I call SM Audi's Service Center -- though I don't have an appointment, the woman on the phone says I can drop my car off, but makes it clear that it likely won't be serviced for a few days (not a problem). I arrive. I'm greeted by a nice guy in a Raiders hat (don't know his name, but figured I'd give him a shoutout since he's been the only pleasant person I've met there). He has me go inside to speak to the Service Consultants - it's semi busy when I walk in, and no one seems interested in their job whatsoever. After some back and forth between desks, I'm helped by Marvin Perez. He seems nice, we walk out to my car so I can show him the notifications on my dashboard and immediately he says, "I don't know who wrapped your car, but they covered your sensors and you need to go back to them to have them removed." I vinyl wrapped my car a few days after driving it home from SF. It's been wrapped for at least 2 full months. Wrapped cars are nothing new. If you were to look at the dozens of wrapped cars on the streets, you likely would not find one with the sensors exposed. LOL. He gave me his card and refused to entertain the idea of moving forward with setting up an official appointment. He told me to take it back to "whoever wrapped my car" -- once the wrap was removed from the sensors, I can call back to set up an appointment to recalibrate my sensors. He ALSO told me that once the wrap was removed, it likely would cost me around $1,000 to have my sensors recalibrated, and that it would not be covered under the warranty. Immediately on the drive home, I email Alastair at Royal Auto Group in SF who confirms sensor issues are, in fact, covered under warranty. I call Rob at Rob's Glass Tinting to confirm that the wrap is likely not the issue. Lastly, I call Audi Beverly Hills who also confirms vinyl wrap most likely is NOT the issue. Not only were the people at Audi Beverly Hills super hospitable, professional, and friendly -- they ALSO resolved my issues. Under Warranty. The issue was due to a module needing to be replaced. NOT vinyl wrap covering the sensors. ..Maybe next time just run the diagnostic.. I wrote this novel as a means to vent about the ALL AROUND bad service, bad communication, bad attitude at Santa Monica Audi. Please take this as constructive criticism to learn how to regulate your emotions, be more professional, and less reactive - these simple things go a LONG way. read more

Unacceptable to have to wait 35+ minutes to pick up a car that they told us was ready for pickup. There isn't enough parking on site so it takes way too long to get your car. Then they bring the wrong car, then they say your car is stuck in traffic. Do better Audi Santa Monica. On the plus side. He tried locking me in a HORRIBLE finance deal with 35% down on the car because I wasn't knowledgeable on the process. I ended up getting a car from Audi Long Beach with 10% down and half the interest rate. They didn't try to screw me over like Santa Monica. Manny is a great and kind sales guy, but only go into this location if you are ready to put up a fight or you have knowledge of buying a car. read more

We met Christina Heath, my cousin was so indecisive about the car he wanted and she was so sweet and patient with him.
