The toilet (in its own "room")
    Gerry L.

My first choice in a hotel when visiting Las Vegas is the W Hotel (FKA The Delano, FKA The Hotel). I like this hotel because of the rooms, and I can access the garage and hotel from Frank Sinatra Blvd, the road I use to access properties on the strip. The standard room is a 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, 725sqft suite, decorated in shades of light beige and white in the living room and bedroom. The main bathroom features a glass walled walk-shower, an oversized tub, dual vanities, and a separate room for the toilet. It's almost as large as one of my bedrooms back home. The only things that would make the bathroom perfect would be to add a shower wand and a Toto (or similar) washlet. I have both at home and you find these in almost every hotel room in Asia. I've seen room rates range from $99 to $1,000/night. This time I paid $680/night, probably due to the BTS effect. The last time BTS was playing at Allegiant, the room rate was $1,000.night. The lobby level is a mess; the restaurant on the ground floor is gone ... What remains is the front desk and the little convenience store located in the hallway to the Mandalay Bay Hotel. They've added a coffee / pasties bar in that hallway. Coffee is free for hotel guests. Rivea, the Alain Ducasse restaurant at the top of the hotel, closed in 2025. The Skyfall Panoramic Bar and Lounge remain open, but I could never get up there. I don't know if the VIP lounge is still operational; I thought it was not worth the money when I last visited. You can now self-check-in via the MGM app and activate your own keys using kiosks located near the elevators and adjacent to the front desk. The hotel, and at least my room, is starting to show signs of wear, I hope the new managing company addresses these issues. However, the W (or whatever it's named) remains my first choice in accommodations in Las Vegas. My rating on this visit is due to the room rate paid; at normal rates, I'd give the W a higher rating.

Stayed here all last week as I was in town for the AMAs and 2 nights of the BTS concert. They were under renovations but there was no noise at all. The check in was offered online but I checked in at the front desk to ensure I'd be in the same King suite with the stadium view as I made 3 separate reservations as I got more tickets to events, extending my stay. This hotel has no casino which means no smoke and smells. Quieter than most hotels and less foot traffic = A reprieve from a long day of walking along the trip going from one BTS related event to another. Conveniently located is the Allegiant Walkway just outside the lobby area. Suite was spacious and clean. It reminded me of spa retreat the moment I walked in. Lots of closets and drawers. Separate toilet room than the shower sink tub area for privacy. Cozy and comfortable bed. Loved the view in the morning and night after the concert. Uber/Lyft drop off was also right outside near the guest elevators. Super close by so we didn't have yo walk onto the Strip or deal with busy crowded casinos like most other hotels. I would definitely stay here again during my next visit when BTS are back in town.

My husband and I stayed at the W Las Vegas for two nights last month, and we had a wonderful experience! Even though the hotel was still undergoing renovations, it didn't take away from our stay at all. Check in was quick and seamless, and we were pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in early. Our suite was incredibly spacious, beautifully updated, and spotless. Everything felt fresh and modern. We did have a small issue with the lighted bathroom mirror, but the staff responded immediately and had it fixed in no time, which we really appreciated. We can't wait to come back once the renovations are complete so we can experience the pool area and explore even more of the property. Based on our stay, I have no doubt it's going to be an incredible hotel. Looking forward to our next visit!

Ups and downs at the W. I remember when the W first came out it was synonymous with such a cool and effortless modern but chic decor and vibe but these days it feels forced and in this location unfortunately slapped onto an old hotel. This used to be the old Delano hotel so it's definitely different from other W Hotels I've been to and even with some remodeling you can tell it can't escape the Vegas elements. And their motto is "wherever, whenever"... maybe try "nowhere, never" We asked for towels. Didn't get them. Tried to call for housekeeping. No answer. Asked housekeeping to come clean up a big hairball on the carpet. Never came. Found candy remnants on the floor that definitely weren't ours... room definitely was not clean. Heard a jiggle at our door and then a knock and it was a surprised family on the other side who said it was their room. Come to find out the front desk wrote the wrong room number down on that family's card key holder. We were pretty shocked. Thankfully no actual access to our room and they did send up something as an apology but still... This hotel is super convenient to Allegiant - that is maybe the only reason I'll give it 3 stars. And it is going to be a better option than the Luxor but for the price? Maybe walk a little further and stay somewhere else.

Second time staying at the W. This time around was during Spring Break and boy oh boy was the pool ground packed!! Parking here is tricky because its on the backside of the Mandalay Bay Property, but since I've stayed here before I know which lane to go thru. Cleanliness of the rooms was good although I did find the main toilet seat not so clean. I still do my own wipe down and bring our own disinfecting sprays just to wipe down the light switches, remote controls, door knobs and in this case toilet seat!! Yes W, you heard me please make sure the entire seat is cleaned. I'm guessing the person prior to my check in has a massive hang over and prayed to the porcelain gods! Check in was easy, I didn't need the feel to go to the front desk, so I checked in through the MGM App. Went to the table kiosk for self check-in got our keys and gave each person theirs to hold. Our room was at a good level and we had an awesome view of the strip!! I love that this suite has two bathrooms, so there's no fighting for the bathroom or mirrors! Second thing I didn't kike was that two people in our party got bites from the sofa!! Ugh oh, it is from that because that's the only n place they sat down and then started to scratch. Access to the elevators are easy, and there is a 24 hour guard just to make sure you flash your key. You cannot access any other floor other than yours, unless you gmtag along with another party... We came for the lazy river and boy was it a hot day that day! We saw people laying down their towels on the sand as if it were the actual beach. Some people were nice to give up one seat so a family can share one. I gave up a couple of ours so others can use it. More than half my party was in the lazy river. Tip: bring your own tubes if you don't wanna buy $30 tubes for the lazy river. There's a self inflate station, which was great for us. We deflated our stuff and brought it back to the rooms. The tide pool is cold! Like freezing cold!! I wish we didn't have to go far deep into the water but the guards tell you to go in more. I opt'd to stay out the water this time and just enjoy the sun. We ordered from the bar. We had chicken nuggets, onion rings and burgers. You can bring your own ice water hydroflasks. Otherwise a bucket of 4 Gatorade is $25 + T/T. Would I stay here again? Yes because it's quiet and close enough if you wanted to gamble Mandalay Casino is just right there. You can also take the tram to Luxor or Excaliber and walk the strip from there. Trams run until midnight.

Hotel is undergoing renovations. Okay. Lobby and check-in area is a mess. Check-in Staff was professional and kind. Arrived at room #10805, opened door- room was humid and damp. Carpet slightly damp and faint mildew smell. Turned on Air conditioner as cold as possible. Set down luggage, checked room and sat on couch in living room area. After about 10 minutes realized the damp/ wet of the couch has soaked up thru our jeans. Like sitting on outdoor patio furniture after the rain. Called downstairs to front desk. Listened to HOLD music for 30 minutes. Then was told they have no other rooms and they could send up housekeeping to try to dry the sofa. However they did not know when they would be available. And did not know what they could do. Later that night around 3am. I woke up to realize the air conditioning STOPPED working and the room was again warm and damp. I got up and turned the air conditioning on again. I thought the W was an upper tier property before I arrived. I was extremely disappointed. We have stayed @ Caesar's Palace, Aria, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, Mirage, Treasure Island and the Wynn. This was the worst room, dirtiest carpet, sun bleached furniture, scuffed paint. The absolute worst customer service answering the phone. Over 30 minutes to answer the phone is unacceptable. Will not be returning. Would not recommend to anyone for any reason. Spend your money elsewhere.

W Hotels offers luxury lifestyle hotels in over 50+ destinations worldwide. We even have one here in Scottsdale. I haven't been here since they changed from Delano but no complaints. It's exactly the same. Same rooms, same decor, just a different name. There's no casino downstairs so it was definitely less smoky, not as noisy, and a nice place to stay at if you don't want that Vegas-style hustle and bustle. Parking is plenty and it's easy to access the rideshare area. The suites are nice. I didn't end up using the living room but I appreciated that they had a wet bar. The bed was comfy and I could have laid around all day if the curtains weren't so terrible. Not only were they on tracks and not automated, there was no way to close the curtains 100%. Sunlight and street sounds easily penetrated the room. One thing I did love about the suite was the soaking tub. Grab some bubble bars and/or bath bombs from Lush and have yourself a nice soak. Bonus: 1.5 bathrooms. All in all, W Las Vegas ain't too shabby. If you don't mind being further away from the center of The Strip, you can definitely relax here comfortably.

What a difference a good front service rep makes! We decided to give the W another chance. Emelia was at the priority check in desk. She treated my wife and I like we were VIP's. She thanked us for being Titanium Bonvoy members and tried to upgrade our room to something nicer. Unfortunately, nothing was available. After assigning a room to us, Emelia gave us restaurant vouchers. Our room was a stay well room. It had a king bed and 1 1/4 bathrooms. It was a very comfortable room. My wife and I were very happy with the room. We had a terrific stay on our second stay here. We enjoyed everything about this hotel. I can't thank Emelia enough for making this a great visit for us.

So I'm torn since I love the room layout at the W since all rooms have a separate spacious living room area from the actual bedroom, a full bathroom with tub and separate shower, and a 1/2 bath with a toilet. The location is part of Mandalay Bay so it's the furthest end of the strip but I don't mind that since we go to Vegas a lot so don't need to be in the middle of all the action. I feel the "air" is less smoky too since there's no casino in the W. If you are going to Allegiant stadium irs super convenient since there is a walkway directly to the stadium. Now for the issues, everything related to service 1) check in room very long even though we were in the priority line but the regular line was about 10 people deep. I usually mobile check in but wanted to change our room configuration. We checked in after 4pm and a couple guests ahead of me who had 2 queen room reservations were not able to check into their room since the rooms were not ready yet and they could not even provide an estimated time. Mind you it was already 4:30pm so after check in time. 2) our toilet overflowed so we called to report it, stayed on hold for about 30 minutes, tried using digital concierge and since it's AI didn't recognize what I was entering. Said it would transfer to a live person and never happened. After 3 hours of waiting for a repair person they came around midnight fixed the issue but said they would do a better cleaning the next day. They didn't clean our room even though we left around 11am and left the housekeeping light on. Luckily upon check out, I spoke to Miriam at the priority desk and she was very understanding and provided a credit. 3) valet is really slow. Average about 10 minute wait when we checked out it took about 20 minutes to get our car. Luckily someone working at Mandalay maybe a manager was near us noticed we were waiting quite awhile and followed up for us. One guy was super rude. Beautiful hotel but service needs a lot of help. I really love the hotel so hoping they put some focus on this.

What can I say? The W does what it needs to. It's near the airport. A bit far from other strip locations but offers a good place to sleep. Suites are great as the door allows for less noise if you have to separate family. There was only one employee at check in and a super long line but no one was really in a hurry. Las Vegas has a bunch of hotels each with a different vibe. As long as a place is clean and without bed bugs then I'm sold. Would definitely recommend. Edit: if you call room service for a coffee mug they'll say it's 10$ because each mug is 1$ and the service charge is 9$, so I went to the lobby who also said it's 10$, then I went to the hotel lobby bar (also no cups), then they told me to go to the convenience store (it's closed), was told by staff to go to Mandalay Bay as their store is still open. Never once had an issue at a hotel trying to find something to drink a hot beverage out of. (I ended up going to a local ice cream shop at the mall that happily gave me a paper cup). Insane adventure for something so small. Can't believed a marriot bonvoy hotel would make finding a cup so ridiculous.

Excellent room service and hospitality. Made me want to come again. Thank you so much.

Overall I had a great stay. I really like the smell the moment you walk in. Check in process was smooth. Room was clean and comfortable. Like what other reviews said, there is no microwave or refrigerator. I also did not use the gym or spa so I can't comment on that

That inner glow that we all have wanes, we need to let the light back in. For a multitude of reasons here we stay. This particular time it is the W. This hotel used to be called the Delano. After a brief break from this part of the strip, so much has changed. It's breathtaking how much more change passes one by. Of course it's Las Vegas, all that "happens in Vegas stays here." What another fun night. Come and catch that favorite concert, show you have been wanting to see, go to a fancy restaurant or bar, snuggle up and enjoy the company of your significant other let's make life simple. There is so much to do, even if you're a local it's always nice to be spoiled and enjoyed around that special day you were born. On this particular time, checking in through self check at the Mandalay Bay was the best option. The lines for check in are terrible here wow . The newest of tech allows an individual to check in on their phone, then proceed to the kiosk and get a few keys. If you are comfortable with technology then it's a breeze. At my age in the game, and not having a "grown tech person among me," I did just fine. Wishing you and yours the best of health and happiness. Remember to take care of yourself and keep smiling. Take the opportunity to step back from life and breathe. For it's too short truly. This last year is a chapter and challenge that is the past. The next chapter is going to be longer and more intense with life unfolding anew. Come and escape to recapture your inner happy .

We waited over an hour to check in only to be told our room isn't ready yet and they would call us. Well we never got the call. We decided to use the pool while we waited. 6 hrs later still no phone call or text so we went back to the front desk to check and was told our room has been ready for awhile but we never got the call. So we would've waited for no reason. Good thing we're local and has a car. I can only imagine how stressful it would've been had we been visiting from out of town and have no car. I guess we would've checked our bags in bell desk if that's the case. Once we got our room it was beautiful! We had a good size bathroom, separate living room and balcony. The bathroom has a jacuzzi jet altho I was too tired from activities to use it. I just took a quick shower and hit the bed exhausted each nite lol The amenity is great! Long walk thru the casino and had to go upstairs 3 floors to get to the pool entrance but at least the pool provides complimentary cold water and towels. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and lots of slots machines, video poker machines, table games. Lots of bars to choose from. Their main attraction seems to be the chandelier bar which have millions of Swarovski crystals. Definitely a photo opp! We ate mainly at the convention room since this was a work event and the banquet staffs gave superb service. I even made friends with a few staffs. One of the staff member brought us a bowl of berries since I made a joke about my hubby always looking for berries lol sadly I forgot his name. Our company also booked our excursions as well which was attending the "O" show complete with open bars, dune buggy in the desert and party at Vanderpump nite club and pool. See why I was exhausted? Lol We had a blast tho. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We can't wait to come back and stay here again. Hopefully next time there won't be a mix up with parking and shorter line at checked in. My only disappointment was that we didn't get to try their buffet, Wicked Spoon. I was hoping for ayce crab legs lol

When I arrived, by rideshare, I was dropped off at the front entrance. It was super busy and there were a whole lot of cars. I walked into the lobby with my luggage and went to the registration counter. The person who checked me in was awesome. After receiving my room keys, I made myself up to my room. I had to walk through the casino, and there were a lot of people inside. It seemed like a very lively place to be. I got to my elevator area and it was great because they have guards verifying that only hotel guests are entering the room towers. They have a scanning machine where you scan your room key to verify that you are a valid guest. This made me feel very secure and happy about where the conference chose to host us. I had stayed at the Palazzo before and I was super impressed with that property in this resort. Let me tell you the Venetian was five or six star to me. This place is super luxurious and well appointed all throughout. My room was absolutely fabulous, very clean, smelled awesome, and I didn't itch at all during the whole week of staying in this room and sleeping in this bed. The marble floors of the bathroom were phenomenal. The shampoo, lotion and conditioner, plus body wash was amazing and smelled wonderful. I will happily stay here again and I signed up for their Venetian rewards before I came. Unfortunately, my $1700 stay did not make it onto my Venetian rewards account for some reason, I even paid 2 months in advance. I went to the Front Desk of Venetian rewards when I checked out and they were not able to help me to apply the $1700 stay to my Venetian rewards. This was super disappointing and so I should have taken a star off for that, but the stay experience was awesome. The pool complex is amazing as well as the conference center. Everything at this resort is fantastic and I highly recommend going to the: Grand Canal shops to peruse, enjoying the gondola rides, the wonderful shops, being able to go to the Wynn property, and the Palazzo property, from this location, was all awesome. Venetian is my new LAS VEGAS GO-TO Resort!

Our stay fell short of expectations due to a series of maintenance and housekeeping issues that…read moredetracted from what could have been a comfortable experience. Upon arrival, the first red flag was visible mold spotting on the bathroom mirror--an unappealing start that raised immediate concerns about the room's overall cleanliness. That concern was validated when we discovered stray hairs left in the bathtub, clearly indicating the bathroom had not been properly sanitized before our check-in. The room's technology was equally frustrating. The television suffered from persistent buffering, with a loading circle interrupting playback at random intervals, making it nearly impossible to enjoy any programming. Additionally, the wireless charging pad on one of the bedside tables was non-functional--a small but annoying inconvenience in an age where we rely on bedside charging. On the environmental side, the room was woefully under-lit. Despite its generous square footage, the existing lamps and overhead fixtures created a dim, cave-like atmosphere that made unpacking and reading difficult. The refrigerator was set too warm, failing to keep our perishables chilled, and the ice machine was either broken or entirely out of ice, which was a disappointment for a group hoping to cool down after a long day. For a suite advertised to accommodate six people, the storage planning was perplexing. The room itself was spacious enough to host a small gathering, yet luggage space was extremely limited--there were no proper luggage racks or benches, and the closet contained only a single robe for six guests. Cabinetry for clothing was also scarce, forcing our group to live out of suitcases on the floor, which cluttered the already dim space. Navigating the room itself was awkward, with a confusing layout that made it hard to find light switches and outlets. Worse, the room was located at the far end of a labyrinthine hallway, requiring an exhausting amount of walking just to reach our door each evening--something that should have been mentioned at check-in, especially for a larger group. Overall, while the bones of the room are good, the execution in cleanliness, functionality, and guest-ready preparation was severely lacking. With better lighting, working appliances, proper storage, and a thorough deep-clean, this space could be wonderful. As it stands, I would not recommend this room for families or groups without significant improvements first.

There's a separate check-in area for The Reserve which I really liked. It was not crowded at all. Upon checkin, they gave me a coconut macaroon which was amazing! I did like that special touch. There are separate elevators going to the Reserve Rooms. However, it is still shared with some of the upper floors from Park MGM. I know that other hotels on the strip have separate elevators exclusively for separate parts of the hotel. I really enjoyed my Atelier room. It was a little bit larger than the standard room. The distinguishing factor about this room is really the bathtub in the room. However, the bathtub itself seems to be a liability for the hotel. I have to say that someone can easily slip and fall in the bathtub. Use extreme caution when using the bathtub. I loved the European french decor. The toilet was a little far away from the bed, but I suppose that is good if you are traveling with somone so when they went to the restroom, it would be less noticable (more privacy, less noise). Since they are hardwood floors, I can hear chairs being moved around from the rooms above me during my stay. I was a little bit irked. Other than that, my stay was quite enjoyable at The Reserve.

However, for those of us who come to Vegas often, staying at those hotels often means higher prices and headaches with navigating around the busy traffic. Having stayed at most of the larger hotels (The Luxor, The Bellagio, Encore at Wynn, Park MGM etc) I've had my fill of the dazzling lights and boisterous crowds. I do recommend you try these hotels at least a few times to truly soak in the bustle of Las Vegas night life. For me, I prefer to stay adjacent to, but not within, The Strip. This way, I can have some comfort in a quieter setting and can call an uber at any moment to meet friends along The Strip. This was the reason I chose Nirvana Hotel. Situated right next to The Luxor and The Mandalay Bay, it is both affordable and close to the attractions I come to Vegas for. The exterior is a bit off-putting at first. You aren't greeted with the pristine fountained welcome that you expect from Vegas--the wonderful precession of marble floors, the lush green plants, the ornate chandeliers. The main check-in station is inside the souvenir shop which resembles that of a run down gas station. Service is quick and the check-in process is painless. Their doors all use numbers so you don't have to worry about misplacing your card. Just don't get so drunk you forget! The room itself is very humble: queen bed, LG tv, two night stands, a small fridge, and a walk-in shower. Clean, organized, and arranged professionally. I will definitely stay here again. Connie was at the reception and welcomed me warmly. Parking is free. That's right. FREE. For your entire duration of stay.

This will look like to most a motel with a drive up to your room and an upstairs set of rooms. No pool . Free coffee up in the front office with package cookies They have a mini fridge in the room. I was gone early in the morning and was back late The minus was street noise from construction and I was there on trash day so the trash truck backing up at 5:50 Am was an early morning wake up call ( I needed to be up at that time anyways) No house keeping while for my two day stay I would be happy to stay here again

Or a little gambling here and there. They do have a nice strip that suppose to resemble the cobble streets of the city. With restaurants, pizza shops, and everything you think New York City has. Its a cute little wander to see what they have. Il Fornaio is a restaurant that we also frequent at this hotel. What's also good about this place, they have a section that caters to kids. The little arcade areas and the roller coasters. Not a lot of hotels have things for minors which helps when you have family that's underage. Mainly we've been popping in for the sports bar for all the sports that's been happening lately. It's a decent hotel and casino. Pretty affordable and you feel like you're getting your moneys worth. I don't know if rooms are updated as it's been years since I was last here. But they do have some nice restaurants along the cobble streets. More of a take out and find a place to sit restaurant, but pretty cool.

Asked for a room close to elevator, gave us one at the other end of the long twisty hallway. Room has no coffee, fridge, water, or much else. You just get a bed, TV, and a bathroom. There's an empty space where the fridge used to be, so they had it before but eliminated it to 'cut cost' for higher margins. The liner on the ice buckets doesn't fit (pull it over one side, the other side pop off because it's too small) so basically useless. When you try to fill it, ice just fall around everywhere instead of in the bag. Motel 6 level of comfort here. Employees that looked like they're tired of dealing with the multiple guest issues week after week. I don't blame them. $15+ 6-5 Blackjacks, 3-zero roulettes and slots you lose 15% of whatever you bet. Offer less while charging more is a great business strategy. The rubes keep coming anyway, why not? Went to eat at the Mexican restaurant downstairs, $30 for mediocre fajitas that came out lukewarm like reheated leftovers. Bland bland bland like school cafeteria Mexican night. Are we having fun yet?
