Stayed here all last week as I was in town for the AMAs and 2 nights of the BTS concert. They were under renovations but there was no noise at all. The check in was offered online but I checked in at the front desk to ensure I'd be in the same King suite with the stadium view as I made 3 separate reservations as I got more tickets to events, extending my stay. This hotel has no casino which means no smoke and smells. Quieter than most hotels and less foot traffic = A reprieve from a long day of walking along the trip going from one BTS related event to another. Conveniently located is the Allegiant Walkway just outside the lobby area. Suite was spacious and clean. It reminded me of spa retreat the moment I walked in. Lots of closets and drawers. Separate toilet room than the shower sink tub area for privacy. Cozy and comfortable bed. Loved the view in the morning and night after the concert. Uber/Lyft drop off was also right outside near the guest elevators. Super close by so we didn't have yo walk onto the Strip or deal with busy crowded casinos like most other hotels. I would definitely stay here again during my next visit when BTS are back in town.

Ups and downs at the W. I remember when the W first came out it was synonymous with such a cool and effortless modern but chic decor and vibe but these days it feels forced and in this location unfortunately slapped onto an old hotel. This used to be the old Delano hotel so it's definitely different from other W Hotels I've been to and even with some remodeling you can tell it can't escape the Vegas elements. And their motto is "wherever, whenever"... maybe try "nowhere, never" We asked for towels. Didn't get them. Tried to call for housekeeping. No answer. Asked housekeeping to come clean up a big hairball on the carpet. Never came. Found candy remnants on the floor that definitely weren't ours... room definitely was not clean. Heard a jiggle at our door and then a knock and it was a surprised family on the other side who said it was their room. Come to find out the front desk wrote the wrong room number down on that family's card key holder. We were pretty shocked. Thankfully no actual access to our room and they did send up something as an apology but still... This hotel is super convenient to Allegiant - that is maybe the only reason I'll give it 3 stars. And it is going to be a better option than the Luxor but for the price? Maybe walk a little further and stay somewhere else.

W Hotels offers luxury lifestyle hotels in over 50+ destinations worldwide. We even have one here in Scottsdale. I haven't been here since they changed from Delano but no complaints. It's exactly the same. Same rooms, same decor, just a different name. There's no casino downstairs so it was definitely less smoky, not as noisy, and a nice place to stay at if you don't want that Vegas-style hustle and bustle. Parking is plenty and it's easy to access the rideshare area. The suites are nice. I didn't end up using the living room but I appreciated that they had a wet bar. The bed was comfy and I could have laid around all day if the curtains weren't so terrible. Not only were they on tracks and not automated, there was no way to close the curtains 100%. Sunlight and street sounds easily penetrated the room. One thing I did love about the suite was the soaking tub. Grab some bubble bars and/or bath bombs from Lush and have yourself a nice soak. Bonus: 1.5 bathrooms. All in all, W Las Vegas ain't too shabby. If you don't mind being further away from the center of The Strip, you can definitely relax here comfortably.

What a difference a good front service rep makes! We decided to give the W another chance. Emelia was at the priority check in desk. She treated my wife and I like we were VIP's. She thanked us for being Titanium Bonvoy members and tried to upgrade our room to something nicer. Unfortunately, nothing was available. After assigning a room to us, Emelia gave us restaurant vouchers. Our room was a stay well room. It had a king bed and 1 1/4 bathrooms. It was a very comfortable room. My wife and I were very happy with the room. We had a terrific stay on our second stay here. We enjoyed everything about this hotel. I can't thank Emelia enough for making this a great visit for us.

Second time staying at the W. This time around was during Spring Break and boy oh boy was the pool ground packed!! Parking here is tricky because its on the backside of the Mandalay Bay Property, but since I've stayed here before I know which lane to go thru. Cleanliness of the rooms was good although I did find the main toilet seat not so clean. I still do my own wipe down and bring our own disinfecting sprays just to wipe down the light switches, remote controls, door knobs and in this case toilet seat!! Yes W, you heard me please make sure the entire seat is cleaned. I'm guessing the person prior to my check in has a massive hang over and prayed to the porcelain gods! Check in was easy, I didn't need the feel to go to the front desk, so I checked in through the MGM App. Went to the table kiosk for self check-in got our keys and gave each person theirs to hold. Our room was at a good level and we had an awesome view of the strip!! I love that this suite has two bathrooms, so there's no fighting for the bathroom or mirrors! Second thing I didn't kike was that two people in our party got bites from the sofa!! Ugh oh, it is from that because that's the only n place they sat down and then started to scratch. Access to the elevators are easy, and there is a 24 hour guard just to make sure you flash your key. You cannot access any other floor other than yours, unless you gmtag along with another party... We came for the lazy river and boy was it a hot day that day! We saw people laying down their towels on the sand as if it were the actual beach. Some people were nice to give up one seat so a family can share one. I gave up a couple of ours so others can use it. More than half my party was in the lazy river. Tip: bring your own tubes if you don't wanna buy $30 tubes for the lazy river. There's a self inflate station, which was great for us. We deflated our stuff and brought it back to the rooms. The tide pool is cold! Like freezing cold!! I wish we didn't have to go far deep into the water but the guards tell you to go in more. I opt'd to stay out the water this time and just enjoy the sun. We ordered from the bar. We had chicken nuggets, onion rings and burgers. You can bring your own ice water hydroflasks. Otherwise a bucket of 4 Gatorade is $25 + T/T. Would I stay here again? Yes because it's quiet and close enough if you wanted to gamble Mandalay Casino is just right there. You can also take the tram to Luxor or Excaliber and walk the strip from there. Trams run until midnight.

So I'm torn since I love the room layout at the W since all rooms have a separate spacious living room area from the actual bedroom, a full bathroom with tub and separate shower, and a 1/2 bath with a toilet. The location is part of Mandalay Bay so it's the furthest end of the strip but I don't mind that since we go to Vegas a lot so don't need to be in the middle of all the action. I feel the "air" is less smoky too since there's no casino in the W. If you are going to Allegiant stadium irs super convenient since there is a walkway directly to the stadium. Now for the issues, everything related to service 1) check in room very long even though we were in the priority line but the regular line was about 10 people deep. I usually mobile check in but wanted to change our room configuration. We checked in after 4pm and a couple guests ahead of me who had 2 queen room reservations were not able to check into their room since the rooms were not ready yet and they could not even provide an estimated time. Mind you it was already 4:30pm so after check in time. 2) our toilet overflowed so we called to report it, stayed on hold for about 30 minutes, tried using digital concierge and since it's AI didn't recognize what I was entering. Said it would transfer to a live person and never happened. After 3 hours of waiting for a repair person they came around midnight fixed the issue but said they would do a better cleaning the next day. They didn't clean our room even though we left around 11am and left the housekeeping light on. Luckily upon check out, I spoke to Miriam at the priority desk and she was very understanding and provided a credit. 3) valet is really slow. Average about 10 minute wait when we checked out it took about 20 minutes to get our car. Luckily someone working at Mandalay maybe a manager was near us noticed we were waiting quite awhile and followed up for us. One guy was super rude. Beautiful hotel but service needs a lot of help. I really love the hotel so hoping they put some focus on this.

Overall I had a great stay. I really like the smell the moment you walk in. Check in process was smooth. Room was clean and comfortable. Like what other reviews said, there is no microwave or refrigerator. I also did not use the gym or spa so I can't comment on that

What can I say? The W does what it needs to. It's near the airport. A bit far from other strip locations but offers a good place to sleep. Suites are great as the door allows for less noise if you have to separate family. There was only one employee at check in and a super long line but no one was really in a hurry. Las Vegas has a bunch of hotels each with a different vibe. As long as a place is clean and without bed bugs then I'm sold. Would definitely recommend. Edit: if you call room service for a coffee mug they'll say it's 10$ because each mug is 1$ and the service charge is 9$, so I went to the lobby who also said it's 10$, then I went to the hotel lobby bar (also no cups), then they told me to go to the convenience store (it's closed), was told by staff to go to Mandalay Bay as their store is still open. Never once had an issue at a hotel trying to find something to drink a hot beverage out of. (I ended up going to a local ice cream shop at the mall that happily gave me a paper cup). Insane adventure for something so small. Can't believed a marriot bonvoy hotel would make finding a cup so ridiculous.

That inner glow that we all have wanes, we need to let the light back in. For a multitude of reasons here we stay. This particular time it is the W. This hotel used to be called the Delano. After a brief break from this part of the strip, so much has changed. It's breathtaking how much more change passes one by. Of course it's Las Vegas, all that "happens in Vegas stays here." What another fun night. Come and catch that favorite concert, show you have been wanting to see, go to a fancy restaurant or bar, snuggle up and enjoy the company of your significant other let's make life simple. There is so much to do, even if you're a local it's always nice to be spoiled and enjoyed around that special day you were born. On this particular time, checking in through self check at the Mandalay Bay was the best option. The lines for check in are terrible here wow . The newest of tech allows an individual to check in on their phone, then proceed to the kiosk and get a few keys. If you are comfortable with technology then it's a breeze. At my age in the game, and not having a "grown tech person among me," I did just fine. Wishing you and yours the best of health and happiness. Remember to take care of yourself and keep smiling. Take the opportunity to step back from life and breathe. For it's too short truly. This last year is a chapter and challenge that is the past. The next chapter is going to be longer and more intense with life unfolding anew. Come and escape to recapture your inner happy .

I've stayed here before and hardly got any sleep. This year I called twice ahead of time to get a room not so close to the air fans outside because they are so incredibly loud at night. There is no way people can sleep through the loud air conditioning fans outside. I even brought ear plugs, noise canceling headphones etc. We went to the front desk and tried to change rooms, even told them our child cannot sleep with the loudness, they said they were sold out tonight. We are on floor 29. Nothing they can do to help us (receptionist Lucy). Mind you, we paid close to $500 a night... it's about 2am and none of us can get sleep. I do not recommend this place at all. We still have three more nights here of this dreadful hotel. Please go somewhere and do not waste your money like we did. 0/10 literally torture not being able to sleep. Update: since I can't sleep it's 2:15am and I checked their website... there are rooms available that they could of changed us to here is the data:

3.5 but maybe closer to 3 since I hated the pillows. Overall the room was alright but was a tad stuffy and smelled like cigarette smoke. Okay for the price we got but probably would consider other options unless the W was significantly cheaper.

QUIET PASSAGE TO MANDALAY BAY My friend had a medical conference at Mandalay Bay during the week after Easter. When he checked in we weren't going to stay at Mandalay Bay but at W Las Vegas, which was where the people going to the medical conference stayed. He would be getting a suite during his stay a W Las Vegas. I guess all that years of hard work he put at medical school and residency paid off. The suite was divided into two sections - living room and bedroom. The bedroom had two queen beds. There two TVs in the room. You have nice view of The Strip. Since W Las Vegas and Mandalay Bay are located at the south end of The Strip the view is quiet. The best feature of the suite was the bathroom, which consisted of a show and deep bathtub. I stated how quiet the view of The Strip was at this suite. W Las Vegas used to be the Delano. The hotel is part of the Mandalay Bay complex but not attached to Mandalay Bay. That's why W Las Vegas was never loud. Once you exit the elevator of W Las Vegas you walk to a short path that leads you to the casino floor of Mandalay Bay. If you like the energy at Mandalay Bay but want a relaxing place to sleep then W Las Vegas is an option to consider. I love the bathroom in the suite. I love how W Las Vegas is serene due to separation from Mandalay Bay. However I think there is one major flaw with the suite I stayed at W. Las Vegas - the aforementioned wall that separates the living room and bedroom. Due to the wall the suite, which is 725 square feet, feels small. Luckily I didn't pay for the suite, but if did I would be hugely disappointed for the price expecting a room with a lot of space. Would I stay at W Las Vegas again? If I get a free room yes, but to pay no. At least I get to cross W Las Vegas off from my bucket list of MGM Resorts hotels I've stayed at.

The W is my new favorite place to stay in Vegas. The rooms are so spacious. I like being able to go downstairs and being able to grab coffee and a snack without having to walk across a casino. I also like that it is located close to the Mandalay Bay sports book and walk way to Raiders game. As a Raiders season ticket holder, I do frequent Vegas during football season and I would recommend staying at The W.

We've stayed at the Cosmopolitan several times before, including in Terrace Suites with fountain views, so we were really looking forward to another memorable stay. Knowing it was a busy holiday weekend, I made every effort to request a better view well in advance. I called on June 25 to have a note added to our reservation requesting either a fountain view or, at the very least, a Strip view. After arriving in Las Vegas, I even stopped by the front desk a couple of days before check-in to ask if any upgrades might become available. I was told they couldn't guarantee anything but would note my request and recommended I come back early on check-in day. I followed their advice. I returned again late Thursday night to ask about availability and was told to complete an early pre-check-in because that would give me the best chance if rooms opened up. The next morning, I completed my pre-check-in around 8:30 a.m. The front desk confirmed fountain-view rooms were fully booked, which I completely understood. I then specifically asked for a Strip-view room instead, and they assured me they would note the request. When I finally checked into Room 2189, I was incredibly disappointed. Instead of a Strip view, the balcony overlooks the back of surrounding buildings, employee parking areas, rooftops, and mechanical equipment. You can barely catch a glimpse of the Strip only if you lean far over the balcony. For a room marketed around its terrace and views, this was a huge letdown-especially for a milestone anniversary and the Fourth of July, when we specifically wanted to enjoy the fireworks from our room. I immediately called the front desk and later spoke with the manager, Jonathan. He explained the hotel was fully booked and I even asked if there might be an opportunity to move rooms the following day, but I was told those rooms were already committed to other guests. While I understand a holiday weekend creates limited availability, what was disappointing is that I made multiple requests over several days, both by phone and in person, and still ended up with what felt like one of the least desirable views in the hotel. Jonathan did offer a $150 resort credit, which I ultimately accepted, but it didn't make up for missing the experience we specifically booked this stay to enjoy. The multiple attempts over the phone and in person to get at least a view of the strip not this crappy view!!! The Terrace Suite itself is spacious, clean, and well-designed, and I've had wonderful experiences at the Cosmopolitan in the past. My disappointment isn't with the room itself --it's with the lack of consideration for repeated guest requests and the overall customer service surrounding this stay. I'll be posting photos of the actual view so others can decide whether this particular room is worth booking. Unfortunately, for such an important occasion, this stay fell far short of expectations. I left feeling disappointed, and because of this experience, I'll likely choose another hotel for future trips to Las Vegas.

No, it wasn't the same as the ones in Venice (I know because I've been in Venice and ridden one of their gondolas), but you know that going in. You're in Vegas so I didn't expect the same thing. I was looking forward to the Vegas version of this classic ride and I got it. Was it over priced? Yes. At the same time you get what you pay for. A fun ride around the camels in the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. There was supposed to be an photographer taking our picture so we can buy at the end, but his camera malfunctioned so we didn't get the shot. This was a huge disappointment as I'm all about pictures and I really wanted the opportunity to see the glamorous shot the professional photographer took and if it captured the. Moment like i had I would have bought it. Fortunately we weren't totally relaying on him. We brought our own camera and took the perfect shot with the gondolier in the background and the bridge when you come out. It was perfect. You didn't have all the busyness of Vegas in the background. I'm overly thrilled with my photo, I got exactly what I paid for a fun ride and the perfect shot to frame and remember this day. And yes, I really did frame it and it sits on my piano. As long as you know what you're paying for, it's totally worth it. And now that you've seen my shot and know that it's taken at the end of the ride when you come out from under the bridge, you can get the same shot too. Have fun and enjoy Vegas and the Venetian. For the Hotel/Resort: The basic rooms here are better than the majority of other strip hotels. I personally think its top 3, even a small upgrade here gets you a very spacious room. I have stayed in the regular rooms and suites at both The Venetian and The Palazzo. The venetian rooms are more updated, but the Palazzo rooms are good too. The self parking has a lot of spaces but ingress/egress is easier at The Palazzo. However the valet parking here is faster compared to other resorts. The rideshare pickup/dropoff is good too. The casino floor is bright, clean, and good gaming variety. For the slots, I like that they have both old and new machines. I like the older "top dollar" and "run for your money" machines. I also like some of the new machines like KONG . They also have a great variety of video poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps! I have yet to play at the tables here but they have a good variety. The beverage service is good, but coverage/timing could be improved. I feel like some parts of the casino floor do not get as much service. They also have a great variety of food and restaurant options for all budgets. My personal favorite here is Estiatorio Milos. A close second would be SushiSamba. However, I have never had a bad meal here. I also recommend Sugarcane, Chica, Cote, and Smith/Wollensky. I still want to try the other options here! Overall great place to stay or check out. I always leave here feeling great!

We enjoyed relaxing in the sun and loved the easy access to drinks from the mid-bar or roaming servers (didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but maybe next visit!). Parking & Fees: There is plenty of parking available in the lots, which makes coming and going a breeze. A $40 or $50 daily resort fee does apply, but that's pretty typical these days and didn't feel out of the ordinary. Final Thoughts: Every detail, from the clean air to the thoughtful service and beautiful property, made this a memorable stay. M Resort is definitely a notch above most Vegas hotels. Highly recommend, and can't wait to come back!

While it's at the far end of the strip just past Resort's World, it's not too far from downtown Vegas so it works out nicely if you plan to spend time in both areas. Although we didn't make use of them, the nearby monorail takes you to the center strip and the Tesla Tunnel can get you over to the Wynn which saves you about 20-25 minutes of walking. Parking is free as long as you sign up for their free rewards program. The resort itself is gorgeous and you could truly just spend your time in Vegas here without going to other resorts. My main requirement when searching for a hotel was a nice pool, as I wanted to lay out and enjoy the Vegas heat. Including the dayclub Liv, there are 7 pools here. 3 massive pools make up the majority of the area, with 2 adults only pools and one smaller pool tucked away. There's a bar in the center and waitresses that come around to take your food and drink orders. The chairs did get packed but we were always able to find 2 seats together. Don't always expect to be able to get an umbrella though. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was so friendly. The woman who checked me in, I believe her name was Gabby, made me feel extra special because I was visiting for my birthday. Everything about the decor of this hotel is high end. They have some amazing restaurants as well as a food court. I wish the food court had a few more casual options, but we opted for a chicken sandwich that was pretty delicious. We stayed in a Noble Suite which was extremely spacious with a full living room, bar area, large restroom, second smaller bathroom, and comfortable bed. We had a stunning view overlooking the strip, Sphere and pool and each element of the room felt luxurious. Keep an eye out for when they offer deals, because you can grab some pretty good rates.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is technically on the Strip, but it does not feel like it at all, and that is exactly why I would absolutely stay here. It is quieter, cleaner, newer, and far less chaotic than the core Strip hotels. You do not get that constant overload of noise and traffic, and the entire property feels more controlled and elevated. It almost feels like it sits off the Strip even though it does not, which is a major advantage. The high end shops are a nice touch, although realistically most people are not walking in there to spend money, especially at places like Rick Owens. The food options, however, are surprisingly reasonable for a hotel of this level, with plenty of choices, and LIV is a strong draw since it is one of the top clubs in Las Vegas right now. This Fontainebleau does not feel anything like the Miami version, but if you are craving that energy you can always grab a slice at Miami Slice and call it a day. Room pricing is more approachable than expected, with nights ranging roughly from $120 to $300 depending on timing. Just keep in mind the resort fee runs about $62 per night, so a $120 room is really closer to $180 all in, which is still a very solid value for a newer luxury hotel in Las Vegas. My number one is still the Wynn, but this comes in strong at number two without question.

The shopping options are amazing, and the restaurants offer some of the best dining experiences on the Las Vegas Strip with a wide variety of choices for every taste. My favorite spot at the resort is XS Nightclub, which always delivers a great atmosphere and unforgettable nightlife experience. I've also always admired Steve Wynn and his vision for creating world-class resorts with incredible attention to detail. One of the most underrated parts of Wynn is the art collection throughout the property. The artwork, sculptures, floral displays, and overall design make it feel more like a luxury gallery than a typical resort. Everywhere you look, there is something unique to appreciate. Between the beautiful rooms, outstanding restaurants, luxury shopping, impressive art collection, vibrant casino, and world-class entertainment, Wynn continues to be one of the best and most complete resort experiences in Las Vegas.

Housekeepers were great. *other Wynn workers (e.g., food/booze servers) were usually good and reasonably personable. *Wing Lei (Chinese Michelin-1 joint) had top-tier service and although we could only sample a small number of dishes, they were all copacetic. *due to last-minute vacancies, the Wynn upgraded us from a $400/night room to a suite that ordinarily sets big-spenders back to the tune of $1,150/night. *Great friggin' ice machine - on my floor - never let me down when flask-time came around! CONS: *the Wynn, even at their extant "nosebleed" rack rates, will effin' nickel 'n dime ya' (*coins on steroids) every gol-durn chance they get: -NO refrigerator in the room unless you want to rent one for $25 a night. (Yep- let's make it hard for guests to bring their own, reasonably-priced booze. And leftovers from "market price" (i.e., "mark-it-up") menu pickin's at various and sundry Vegas kitchens? Paid $15 or so for a "pour" of ordinary Tito's vodka. Needed an ELECTRON MICROSCOPE to see the likker! (But I only did it once, as my flasks of Toki and Pikesville and a Hamm's 12'er...took care of me.) *The bellhops move at a comatose pace, and when we arrived, we were informed that there'd be a "slight delay" of 45 minutes in bringing up our bags. After an HOUR had passed, we just took the G-D things ourselves. Yeah - now ain't THAT first-class service! *The concierge on duty was a dullard and a do-nothing doofus who couldn't do "jack" for us. S-H-I-I-T-E!!! **GOONS everywhere -had to use my key just to take the elevator to my floor, and had to withstand the glaring imprimatur of "security" people every time. (My favorite guy, who appears to have been either a "Blood" or a "Crip,"...received the moniker...'SMILEY!' -Although I wouldn't consider buying the wildly marked-up "luxury" goods peddled in the Wynn shops, I couldn't help but notice the scowling dorks in dark suits who stand outside the portals, arms folded. (No buddy - I ain't buyin' yer' lousy $50K watch; so shove it OK?) __________ Now, neighbor - are ya' ready for the veritable TOP-TWO reasons NOT to wander into the Wynn? 1) NONSTOP high-volume pop-schlock aural excrement THUMPING throughout the place. EVERYWHERE. Pay exorbitant room rates and then be subjected to lowest-common-denominator NOISE? WHO likes that garbage? ("effluencers?") -How about QUIET? -If that's not possible - how about actual MUSIC played at moderate levels? WHY must we endure moron-music and WHY were we not warned that it would be infesting the air? 2) EURO/MIDEAST TRASH guests swarming like maggots, pushing in front of you and invading your space without so much as an "EXCUSE ME!"... ...Mega-wealthy SCUM that shouldn't even be allowed in America - much less catered to by an ostensible "top class" hotel! There's a separate check-in area for The Reserve which I really liked. It was not crowded at all. Upon checkin, they gave me a coconut macaroon which was amazing! I did like that special touch. There are separate elevators going to the Reserve Rooms. However, it is still shared with some of the upper floors from Park MGM. I know that other hotels on the strip have separate elevators exclusively for separate parts of the hotel. I really enjoyed my Atelier room. It was a little bit larger than the standard room. The distinguishing factor about this room is really the bathtub in the room. However, the bathtub itself seems to be a liability for the hotel. I have to say that someone can easily slip and fall in the bathtub. Use extreme caution when using the bathtub. I loved the European french decor. The toilet was a little far away from the bed, but I suppose that is good if you are traveling with somone so when they went to the restroom, it would be less noticable (more privacy, less noise). Since they are hardwood floors, I can hear chairs being moved around from the rooms above me during my stay. I was a little bit irked. Other than that, my stay was quite enjoyable at The Reserve.

The lobby where we checked in was super dark and moody. There was a lot of seating and nice decor. It was chilly in there which felt like a nice escape from the Vegas heat. It was relatively quick for us to get checked in and receive our keys. This dark and dramatic theme is carried throughout the hotel and to the guest room areas too. We were put in Rm 30-24, which we converted into an adjoining room with Suite 30-22. Our room felt small to me. The bed takes up the majority of the room with little walking space. There is a desk, flat screen TV, sofa, and small wardrobe. The closet is pretty spacious and has some robes, slippers, and a steamer. The sofa was very stiff and honestly looked a bit dingy. There were crumbs on the seat and the pillows were incredibly old and limp. I was hesitant to sit on it! The closet felt disproportionately large for the room. I would have preferred a smaller closet to have more space in the room itself. The rooms and hallways are all so dark. There is no overhead lighting, only tiny lamps throughout the room. I am personally not a fan of this as it made the room feel even smaller and claustrophobic. I understand they are trying to make it feel ambient and moody, but the way it was presented felt more like sleeping in a cave. Inside the closet was the brightest area of the hotel! If you choose to have a conjoined room, it is impractical to keep the doors open. When the adjoining doors are open, it is impossible to use the doors facing the hallway. Everything was cramped and the doors were constantly banging against each other. The bathroom was nice with a spacious shower. The water pressure was slightly better than average, but not super strong. They provided the usual amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower gel, cotton swabs + cotton pads, makeup remover wipes, and a shower cap. I must say, the shampoo and conditioner were spectacular. My hair felt super soft and had no frizz when it dried. It smelled very nice too. The rest of the hotel was just okay. There is not much to do besides lay at the pool and gamble. It is pretty quiet and laid-back. That being said, the casino was pretty small. I did like that it was non-smoking though so it was not suffocating to walk through it. I enjoyed the pool area. Despite it being a hot summer day, there was plenty of seating and lounge chairs available. The music the DJ was playing was really good and the pool was super chilly. This is definitely not my first choice for a Vegas hotel but I could stay here again.

However, for those of us who come to Vegas often, staying at those hotels often means higher prices and headaches with navigating around the busy traffic. Having stayed at most of the larger hotels (The Luxor, The Bellagio, Encore at Wynn, Park MGM etc) I've had my fill of the dazzling lights and boisterous crowds. I do recommend you try these hotels at least a few times to truly soak in the bustle of Las Vegas night life. For me, I prefer to stay adjacent to, but not within, The Strip. This way, I can have some comfort in a quieter setting and can call an uber at any moment to meet friends along The Strip. This was the reason I chose Nirvana Hotel. Situated right next to The Luxor and The Mandalay Bay, it is both affordable and close to the attractions I come to Vegas for. The exterior is a bit off-putting at first. You aren't greeted with the pristine fountained welcome that you expect from Vegas--the wonderful precession of marble floors, the lush green plants, the ornate chandeliers. The main check-in station is inside the souvenir shop which resembles that of a run down gas station. Service is quick and the check-in process is painless. Their doors all use numbers so you don't have to worry about misplacing your card. Just don't get so drunk you forget! The room itself is very humble: queen bed, LG tv, two night stands, a small fridge, and a walk-in shower. Clean, organized, and arranged professionally. I will definitely stay here again.
