It's a hotel in Vegas. I feel like it wasn't meant to be a location for you to lounge around in your room and enjoy. Honestly the hotel itself was decent. It was very well maintained and the elevators were systematic and efficient. We liked that a lot. It's Vegas. People have things to do, places to be. The room was spacious and the halls were nice; but the room was impractical and a little crusty. Our room had two beds, a circle table, a long couch, and a chair to sit at the table. Window view of the street was nice and the bed was comfy. I have no complaints there. The AC was wild, system was old. It blew cold air but it wasn't a practical setup. The culprit of the -1 Star was the closet and restroom. Restroom was clean, whatever, the towels were a hit or miss and some had a weird mildew smell to them. We just tried to use whichever ones didn't smell funky. When you close the restroom door. You get access to the closet. When you close the closet, you get access to the restroom. So if you're in the restroom doing something and you want to come out while the other person /people in the room are getting clothes from the closet, you have to coordinate and not just swing open the door. TLDR: Hotel was nice Rooms were aight. No fridges. Definitely would prefer to try a different hotel next time so, returning here is a TBD. read more

Overall Mixed Experience - Great Potential, But Several Service Issues Our recent stay had both positive and disappointing moments. The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is convenient, and there were aspects of our trip that we genuinely enjoyed. However, several service and communication issues prevented our stay from being as enjoyable as it could have been. One of the biggest frustrations involved the room credits included with our reservation. During check-in, the process was never clearly explained to us. I later approached the front desk for clarification and was simply told to check the app, where I could not find any useful information. It wasn't until checkout that we learned the credits needed to be charged directly to the room to be applied. By then, much of the credit had gone unused despite my friends and I spending a significant amount on food and drinks throughout our stay. Checkout was also confusing due to multiple credits being applied and adjusted, and we were even charged a late checkout fee after being told we could remain in the room until noon. The front desk staff who assisted us did their best to sort through the situation and were polite while handling our concerns, but the process was unnecessarily stressful. Housekeeping was another disappointment. Our room was serviced more than once, and we even left tips for the staff, yet the room was not cleaned to the standard we expected. The floors appeared not to have been properly vacuumed, the toilet remained noticeably dirty, the sink drained very slowly, and dust was visible throughout the room. These may seem like small details, but they add up over the course of a week-long stay. The most disappointing experience, however, involved the bell desk/front entrance staff during checkout. On the morning we departed, my friends and I were struggling with multiple heavy suitcases while trying to get through the front entrance and load our rental car. We passed several employees who appeared to see what was happening, yet no one offered assistance or even asked if we needed help. We were carrying luggage, dropping belongings, and managing the doors ourselves while clearly struggling. Hospitality is often defined by small acts of service, and unfortunately this was the moment that left the strongest impression on us. That said, I do want to recognize the employees who made a positive difference. The front desk staff who listened to our concerns were professional and respectful, even when they were unable to immediately resolve everything. Most notably, Chantelle Padilla, Assistant Manager at Best Friend Restaurant, went above and beyond to help us when we were dealing with the room credit confusion. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to find a solution helped turn around what had been a very frustrating experience. Without employees like Chantelle, this review would have been much lower ( Best friend will have a separate 5 star review) . She reminded us what genuine hospitality looks like and deserves recognition for the outstanding service she provided. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because the property itself has great potential. Better communication, improved housekeeping standards, and more attentive guest assistance would have made a significant difference in our overall experience. read more

Stayed here for the first time, though we didn't get to experience much of the property since we checked in late and left the following morning. The only dining venue we tried was Primrose for breakfast. Pros: The hotel is completely smoke-free, which I really appreciated. The room was comfortable and clean and the service at check in was great. Cons: There was no coffee maker in the room. Also, because the hotel is located next to T-Mobile Arena, it can get quite loud. read more

Main reason why I like this hotel, it's the only one on the strip that is non smoking. Pretty much everywhere else is smoking which I'm not a fan of. Parking situation, pretty similar to all the other casino with the structure. Theres a fee of course as everyplace is charging. If you have a players card, it waives it. Checking in is alway pretty easy with both self check or with a representative. There's a few elevators that's based on what floors for your room. The property itself is pretty modern. Room is clean with a nice sofa that looks out to whatever your view is. There's no fridge but does have the usual, iron, safe, hairdryers. Restroom is decent with a clean modern layout and a barn door style. Nice size shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Plenty of charging station with usb both on the nightstand as well an outlet next to the sofa. For a king size or double queen, it's decent in size. Hotel itself has a good little casino. Bar right in the middle with a fairly decent amount of table games. It's also the home to the Dolby Live theatre which Jonas Brothers happened to be there. You have a good amount of different restaurants and a sports bar. And the fame Eataly with loads of specialty vendors at the front of the casino. Location wise is central to everything. Pool area is nice and clean with three pools. Another selling factor is the tram that takes you to Aria and Bellagio. It's alway been great hence we're back often to this casino and hotel. read more

Yesterday, I drove to Las Vegas solo to meet up with my fabulous daughter Jonesy from NYC for a 3 day girls trip!!! Cosmically, we arrived at the same time!!! First impression of the hotel was IT IS HUGE!!!! However, because it's a non-smoking hotel, walking into the casino was so much quieter than any place I have stayed here before... the staff is lovely and quite accommodating! 4 swimming pools which are so fabulous bc I am a swimmer! Woo hoo! And again, every employee is lovely and helpful... our view is incredible! And the room is lovely... ( Beds too soft would be my only complaint) Last night we ate at EATALY for an early dinner that was so good... ( alcohol adds way too much to the tab, and tbh, I don't usually drink so it was a celebratory imbibement! :) Viva Las Vegas! More reviews to come!!! read more

Booked my stay here through the Chase Edit and stayed in an upgraded Reserve Room, though I would say MGM Grand has cozier and more spacious rooms. The location is great as it's right on the Strip and you can take a mini tram to the Bellagio and Aria resorts. The room felt dated but the bathroom was renovated well with a nice tub/shower with handle. There's a vitamin C filter attached to the shower but I think that's more a gimmick than bringing actual benefits. TV doesn't have any streaming apps, only a few channels with an option to pay for on demand movies. The view was decent. Service was also lacking as I had to wait almost 2 hours for them to fix the window blinds late at night. Another downside is you do pay $20 a night for parking even as a guest which I find annoying. Try the Bavette's Steakhouse while you're here! Overall, I wouldn't stay here again but would frequent the casino for the restaurants. read more

I've stayed at many different resorts in Vegas over the years. Including getting married to my lovely wife in the Excalibur 26 years ago. Park MGM's subdued artsy ambiance was a nice change from the glitzy glamour of the Venetian, Wynn and some others. Room was clean and stylish. Bedding was comfortable. I chose a room with an air purifier and enjoyed clean air all the night through. Starbucks in the lobby had a reasonable wait each morning (5 mins-ish) and my coworkers even won a few bucks at the slots and tables. I don't gamble but they seem to enjoy themselves and the dealers were friendly. All in all a good experience. Having being a Marriott member for longer than I can remember, my one complaint is essentially never getting a room upgrade. Not really the fault of ParkMGM, but their rewards system may benefit from a deeper look to see if my case is an oddity or normalized reality. read more

Finally stayed at Park MGM! If you have ever been to Manhattan, this hotel is totally that vibe (but like a high end NYC hotel and low end LV hotel). Rooms are quite small and lackluster, but adorable decor and vibe to bring your NYC nostalgia back. Artsy eclectic feel. We were "upgraded" to a Stay Well Room on 23. Kind of cool, but when we arrived the red lights for "change filter" was on the air purifier. Not to worry, we asked for a replacement and they were nice and sent a maintenance guy up. He then stated it was housekeepings job and often the reset buttons didn't work so it was probably fine just needed to be reset. He left and came back after cleaning the filter and hit the button and it reset. That night there was a red bar on the filter and it kept me up bc it was so bright. Annoying but I just thought that was part of the deal. Fast forward, 9 am despite the do not disturb sign on the door- 3 security guards and a maintenance guy! "We had to come in, your room is throwing error codes." 2 guys came in, swapped filter again and hit some buttons, thanked us and left. I guess that was the end, no red bar the next night. Honestly it was all odd. Biggest gripe is the noise! This is on brand with NYC. We could hear everything in the rooms next to us. Every AM the guy to the left rolled his blinds up with the metal cord. That's odd bc ours had a button that was for sheer or blinds- very convenient. Maybe it's only a Stay Well room thing. The people to the other side watched TV at night so we had to also or else we could hear his. It made us uncomfortable bc it meant both could hear us too. We played music on our phone while getting ready for the Knights game (across the street) and a guy banged on our door so hard it could have broken it. Of course he was gone when we looked out. It was either a prank or maybe the neighbor who opened his blinds every am could hear the music? It was 5 pm, calm down. You could also clearly hear every convo in the hall, including children running around. Bathroom was basic, a bit small and hardly any counter space. Not a common marble LV bathroom. Bed was an upgrade and was very comfortable. Room was dark at night other than the air purifier. Couldn't turn off the bathroom light on the switch, so that also was bright, but maybe user error? On site there are of course tons of restaurants and Eataly. The prices are consistent there, which is nice. Not cheap, but at least consistent. MGM hotel so you get those perks based on your tier. Staff was nice at check in. Kiosks at checkout didn't work. We just left bc the line was wrapped around with people checking in and we couldn't wait an hour to say we were leaving. Great location for TMobile arena and can walk to the Mandalay/Excalibur free tram. Prob won't stay again though. read more

Before anything fraudulent happened, the online check in wasn't working so there was a very long line to check in at the front desk. Our room was also not ready on time. Now for check in- The police should honestly investigate this hotel and their staff. The manager charged my boyfriend's card extra on top of the room fee/ deposit when we checked in, and it maxed out his card. She "cancelled" it but his card was still maxed out since it was still pending, and so we put it on my card and the SAME THING HAPPENED except this time it definitely seemed calculated. They charged my credit card our room fee + an amount close enough to max out my credit card (an extra $5.69k) One charge right after the other, all while the manager checked us in. We spent an hour at the front desk just trying to get the fraudulent charges off our cards but they said the pending charges wouldn't go away until after we checked out which, is at the end of our trip. During our stay my boyfriend continued to get random small charges on his maxed out card, even though it was "removed" from their system. Both of our cards were maxed out on the FIRST day of our trip. They also said this happened to three other people that day. You mean there were fraudulent charges being placed and you let it happen FOUR TIMES??? My credit line is still thousands in the negatives and we checked out 2 days ago. Completely unacceptable and shady. I think it's pretty obvious but we are never staying here again. read more

Smoke free hotel in Las Vegas! What a refreshing spot to stay at. We really liked Eataly at the hotel where we can get authentic Italian food. It's a bit pricey but the ingredients are superior so you get some very tasty pasta, sandwiches and pizza. The room is spacious and clean. However, some areas of the hotel seemed dated especially the elevators. Some elevators rattled going up and down the floors. Some of the scanner in the elevators don't work so it won't scan my room key. I had to just go to a higher level then change to a different elevator that the scanner works then come down to my floor. It's a hassle and it happened 3 times during my 2 nights stay. Overall it's a pleasant stay for the price point. read more

The wife and I have been through this hotel and casino many times as we love Eataly and some of their other restaurants like Best Friend. We've seen shows here as well. So on our latest Vegas trip we decided to book a stay here. Unfortunately, our room left a bit to be desired. There was no refrigerator in the room, which we were surprised at. We had just bought some water bottles at a nearby CVS but not being able to keep the water cold was disappointing. The furniture was a little outdated and weird with a lot of dead space in the room. 10.31.25 I booked a room here for my sister and me while we were in town for the NKOTB concert at Dolby Live, which is conveniently connected to the hotel. The room was chic and spacious--definitely a step up from other hotels I've stayed at. I especially loved the bold red wall color; it added such a fun, vibrant touch. During our stay, we dined at Toscana Ristorante & Bar, Primrose, and La La Noodle--all located right within the hotel. Highly recommend each one! My only two critiques: it was pretty loud late at night due to nearby music, and when we checked out at 5 AM on Sunday, there was only one staff member manually handling the front desk. The self-checkout kiosk wasn't available at that hour, which made things a bit tricky. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay--those minor hiccups aside. read more

I AM SO GLAD THERES NO SMOKING!! This WAS THE BEST hotel I've been in, in a long time. Indoor dining, casinos, bars, and Eataly to walk through, this place has it all! Even a HEATED pool during the winter (Yes I swam in one!) Note the pool is further away so you do need to walk to it and its' from a nearby casino, but part of the room rate. So the room: Blackout curtains, the biggest and fluffiest bed ive ever been on, reasonably good internet and a fully controllable shower temperature from cool to BLAZING HELL HOT (including "just right"). Also the view is , you find out early there's a roller coaster nearby! Note: The room I was in did have a door to the neighbor room, but it was fully locked and barely any noise got through. Also: no bible in any of the drawers :( The minibar is easy to avoid and won't charge you for looking at it. read more

1st NO SMOKING hotel in Las Vegas!!! So awesome!!! I hate the smell of smoke. The stay was very comfortable. Our room was on the 23rd floor that has nice amenities. It had an ionized air and the shower head has a water filter. Bed was very comfortable. Room was big with 2 queen sized beds. We could get free upgrade. However, I didn't want to pay extra for that and you don't get the Ionized Air or the shower head water filter. There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap. There is hair dryer. No mini frig or microwave. The casino is linked and walkable to Aria and Bellagio without walking outside. There is parking for $20-25 depends if it's weekday or weekend. You can just use your room card to go in and out of the parking. We didn't know, and they actually said that our parking is free maybe cuz of my Chase Sapphire Reserve Card. The person who checked us in didn't even tell us about the free parking or how how to use our room card to go back in and out of parking. read more

Until someone in the elevator mentioned it, I had no idea that the Park MGM was the old Monte Carlo Hotel which I had stayed at over 25 years ago. They've done a nice job updating the hotel, particularly in the lobby and common areas. The rooms are solid and decent-sized, but there are a few dated features here and there. The central location of the Park MGM is great, particularly given that the Dolby Theater is located in the hotel. The check-in and check-out process was delightfully easy with hotel guests at various computer stations around the lobby. There were hotel workers available if I encountered any issues. read more

I have never stayed at Park MGM before and decided to try it out. It is extremely affordable. The one thing that I like about about the rooms at this hotel is that they are clean. The rooms are very bare bones vibes and truly nothing special. We stayed in the "Restore" room and we loved the mattress. Anytime we had any issues, they were quick to provide a complimentary food/beverage credit to the room. Although their casino is smaller than the other MGM properties, it did the job. Plus, it is walking distance to the tram and also to the other hotels like Aria and Cosmo. You get great access to the strip. They have 4 small pools. Again, nothing amazing, but definitely does the job. Overall, service at the hotel is 5 stars. I would say its a solid 4 star hotel. read more

Park MGM is relatively new and redesigned! The main floor/lobby is very nice! It was a great place to stay. We usually stay at the Aria or the Bellagio (out of the mgm hotels) but it was an extremely $$$$ wkend and friends of ours liked Park MgM. If you stay in one of the top reserve floors, you can get access to the terrace pool which has nicer chairs and more of a cabana/lounge chair vibes. The main floor pools looked nice just very crowded. The rooms have updated bathrooms but aren't the best beyond that. I will say the bed and the pillow was amazingly soft! Everything looked very clean also. The restaurants here were great. Bavette's was more popular than I realized. Food was excellent. We also ate at Eataly for lunch one day. Primrose looked nice and we heard good things about Lala noodle and best friends. Getting a rideshare and going to the tram or to the Aria was so easy! I would rather stay here than Caesar's Palace honestly just for how easy it was to get around. Oh and I forgot it's nonsmoking! Which is nice for a casino if you don't smoke. read more

This is the seventh MGM property that I've stayed at. The resort is inspired by France and has a modern luxury theme. I had no major issues here. Some big reasons you may want to stay here: 1) proximity to Tmobile arena. 2) smoke free 3) close to CVS/ Walgreens ROOM The rooms are very simple but clean. The sofa and table looked a bit old. There's no large TV stand here. It's basically just this little ledge and the mini bar is just this little basket with some snacks in it. The beds look ok but they are too soft. The bathroom is very simple too. It's good for the most part but it's showing its age. There was peeling wallpaper near the toilet. Noise insulation isn't that good. The window shades are manual and I could hear the shades being rolled up/down every time neighboring rooms would use it. HOTEL The check in desk is small. The hotel is also on the smaller side but it's apparently still not proportionate because I often see at least 10 parties waiting in line each time I've walked by. The elevators seemed sufficient. I never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for an elevator. Some elevators did seem old though, with doors slamming loudly. PARKING They have one of the simpler parking garages, which is a plus. read more

Like curtain was missing a rod so we had to be creative in figuring out how lift the curtain for some light. The elevators, especially during checkout time, took forever. Back at Park MGM this past weekend with a friend. We enjoyed our stay! Spent quite a bit of time at the pool this time around, and really liked that there were three pool options and a hot tub. We opted for the "over-18" pool, and true to that, no kids. Wow. The environment I didn't know I needed, until I did lol. The room was fine for two people. It has, as others have said, thinner walls, but we slept pretty well, and the mattress and pillows help. The Starbucks on the first floor is easy for coffee in the morning, and we took it right out to the pool with us. Finally, Park MGM has a really good location. Between New York-New York and Aria, and across from Hard Rock Cafe, ABC Store, and other shops. Close to the airport for rideshare. Would definitely stay again. read more

Park MGM was a decent place to stay while visiting Las Vegas. It's in a great location close by to lots of things to do and has some very nice restaurants inside the hotel like Bavette's, Primrose and Eataly. It's also a non smoking hotel which is also amazing. The rooms are good size for two people, we had a double queen room. The decor was nothing great but nice enough and the provided shampoo conditioner and body wash all smelled amazing. There's also three pools on property that are very relaxing. However there are a few things this property really needs to change to make the hotel great. First, the single ply toilet paper that is used inside the entire property is horrible. I'd think an MGM property would provide a little higher quality toilet paper in their restrooms. The towels and washcloths are also paper thin and very rough. Again something I'd expect more from MGM. They were like something you'd get from a motel 6. And finally the bed is hard as a rock. If you enjoy a firm mattress you'll be in heaven but my back has hurt for two days since leaving. This hotel could very easily be a 4 star hotel with some easy upgrades. The staff was great and the check in and check out was very easy to do, but I don't think I'd stay here again while visiting Vegas unless some upgrades were done to make your stay more comfortable. read more

Just wrapped up another stay--somehow even better than a month ago. Park MGM Las Vegas isn't your typical Vegas property, and that's exactly the appeal. It may not check every box for everyone, but its more intimate, boutique feel makes it stand out from the larger resorts. The smoke-free environment, prime location, and overall vibe create a really elevated experience. Having Eataly Las Vegas right inside is just the cherry on top. I have a soft spot for park mgm. Mostly cause I enjoy sipping wine and walking around lol Eataly has that and their way too popular lavazza station for morning espresso or iced tea for the days that never seem to cool down. The only off putting thing about the hotel is that some of the rooms are red... how did any interior decorator get a bunch of ppl to sign off on that? Curious how many people can relax in a bright red room. Notably, the other rooms are green. Not the soothing, relaxing green but the primary kind. Guess someone was wanting everyone to feel that holiday spirit all year long. read more

I stayed at Park MGM a while ago, when Eataly was new, but completely forgot about the experience. On a recent trip, we tried this hotel again, for its great location. I also really like the easy access to the front desk once you enter from the parking lot. We arrived on a weekday afternoon and there was only a short line. The guy who checked us in gave us a room high up on the 27th floor and close to the elevator, but when we went up and I opened the door, the first things I noticed was it had a strong smell of smoke and there were someone else's things in there. So we were given a room of guests who haven't left yet. We had to go back downstairs , and the lady that helped us get another room didn't seem concerned or apologetic at all. The second room we walked into smelled like a wet mop or janitor's closet, like a musty odor. Thinking housekeeping might have just got done cleaning, we just decided to unpack assuming the odor will just go away. Later that evening, and every time we returned to our room, the odor is there again. I'll admit, we were too tired and didn't want to pack up everything and move to another room and risk having the same smell. Luckily, I packed air freshener for times like this. The safe didn't work, because it was left locked by the previous guests and housekeeping didn't catch it and report it. We had to go to the front desk again so they can send security up to reset it. The room itself was decent. The blackout curtains really keep the room dark for us to sleep in. The internet speed was ok, and worked on Zoom for some work that had to be done. The room had no amenities like small fridge or coffee maker, just a tray to water and snacks on a sensor ready to charge you if you touch it. The thermostat works fine, but I found 72 degrees will warm the air coming through the vents, and 71 will cool it down. The TV is a decent size and has enough channels to scroll when winding down at night. Our floor was fairly quiet, except for the occasional vacuum cleaner by housekeeping. The pools are a decent size. There's one form18 yrs or over, and two others. During June, the larger one will lose sun coverage earlier than the other smaller one. The location is what I like. Easy access to browse around Eataly, a short walk over to Aria or access the tram to Bellagio. Driving is convenient too, since it's near center Strip. Will I come back again? Hard to say. The odor was a huge turn off and the small counter spaces makes staying there more than one day inconvenient. I hope they locate what's causing the weird smell and fix it. Didn't expect to visit Sin City this year. But, when your good friends get married here- you come to celebrate them! The main reason I wanted to stay here is Best Friend! And it's been 10 years since I've stayed in the strip. I typically opt for places that have free parking, away from the Strip. But, we earned our $375 Costco Shop card when we booked our Alaska Cruise via Costco Travel this year. We had no idea exactly what we'd spend the Costco Shop Card on. And didn't wanna really use it for groceries at Costco. So, I checked out which hotels Costco Travel offered and this is it! We booked our stay for Indigenous/Columbus Day weekend. Arriving mid morning on Saturday & leaving Tuesday. We knew by the time we arrived at 9:30am- a room wouldn't be available. And we had no issue paying extra if there was. I looked ahead of time & noticed there isn't really anywhere to sit in the immediate lobby area, at all. And since we had to be at the Wedding Chapel by noon- we explored a bit to see where we could sit. We knew gambling was not an option. We strolled around and found a few decent and good spots. I won't disclose them bc that's part of the adventure! Ha! Pretty nifty with the check in/ check out process. You can either stand in line to talk w/ reception staff or use kiosks in the main lobby. We preferred face to face. Prior to making the booking (calling Costco Travel)- I read reviews on Google & Yelp. Some have mentioned red rooms and green rooms. Since I brought this up with our Costco Travel agent- I wanted to personally reiterate the request in person. Since check in is from 3-6pm- staff mentioned we'd get a text. One thing I loved about the hotel, whether you're walking the hallway to your room, strolling the casino or lobby areas- there's this beautiful floral scent throughout. It's not obnoxious or overbearing. We booked a strip view and I loved our view during the night and wee early hours before sunset. I sat at the cushioned sofa and would watch the planes from the airport take off as the sun would rise. The black out curtains came in handy. Even in the early start of autumn. One thing that was annoying is no coffee maker, mini fridge (and I could care less if there were chilled drinks for a fee inside), or a microwave. Guess it's good marketing strategy for Park MGM for guests to patronize businesses down stairs. There's a CVS, Target, ABCs across the street where we'd snag jugs of water and other libations. And used the bathroom sink & ice from the machine to chill the beverages. Body soap/ shampoo/ conditioner available in shower stalls. And a cute travel sized Scope mouthwash bottle and other complimentary goodies. Housekeepers were frequent on our floor, in case we needed to reup on hygiene amenities. A cool observation- the glass shower door pulls INWARD! Thank you! No need to deal with dripping water when most shower doors open outward. The green room was cozy and easy on the eyes. The beds and pillows, especially would make your body sink with ease. Annnd, the TV can be extended out for enjoyment. Wish we had time to enjoy the pool area. Maybe next time. read more

My number one reason for loving this hotel and the casino is the fact that it is non-smoking! The casino is well lit, clean, and a fun gaming atmosphere. Again... Without any cigarette smoke. There is a phenomenal restaurant selection and the location on the strip can't be beat. Bathrooms on the casino floor as well-marked, easy to find and always clean. Dealers and staff are all so nice and very helpful. Great attitude and make you laugh while gambling. read more

Stayed here in July and the hotel was busy but not overly crowded. If you like a nonsmoking hotel, this is a great option - the entire hotel is nonsmoking, including the casino. We LOVED that aspect. The room was clean and decently sized, there were always plenty of chairs at the pool, and there were plenty of good food options on site. My main grievance was that the billing system was down when we were leaving so I didn't get a bill until over a week after I checked out. When I called to question and dispute a charge on my bill, the person who picked up was dismissive, then put me on hold for 10 min before finally coming back on the line to tell me I was right and she would refund me. Overall a good experience here, but unfortunately turned a bit sour in the end. read more

I picked this hotel because it seemed logical ... Bruno Mars was at Dolby Live (on property), and the G-Dragon concert was at T-Mobile Arena, across the street. Plus, the self-park garage is very close to the hotel, unlike most strip / near-strip hotels. This location proved to have a few negatives ... I try to avoid driving on Las Vegas Blvd because it's always congested and driving even a few blocks can take "forever". I came up Frank Sinatra Blvd, my preferred road to travel to places on the strip but was prevented from turning right onto Park Ave because the police had it closed off to handle outbound traffic from an event at T-Mobile Arena. I had to find the next right to get me onto Las Vegas Blvd. Argh, at 10:30pm on Friday, it was a madhouse. Forty-five minutes later, I was able to enter the Park MGM parking lot to find a line of cars still trying to exit the garage. Any thoughts of dashing in to check in and back out to head to a dinner reservation at Japaneiro (one of my favorite LV restaurants) were quashed. One major plus is that the facility is smoke-free. A breath of fresh air! Thus, proximity to major venues has its pluses and minuses. I upgraded to a strip view room (Nomad), so I was on the 26th floor in room 222. Whoa, garish red accent walls and a red subway-tiled bathroom were off-putting (to me). The room was decently sized, with a king bed, occasional chair, red velvet sofa, a desk and chair, and a bureau with a large screen TV atop. The closet was miniscule, with a safe on the back wall and a narrow drawer unit on the left side. No fridge, no coffeemaker. The bathroom was basic, a glass-walled shower with fixed head, a toilet, a small vanity and a shelf unit holding towels. The room was clean; the pillows were nice ... a basic hotel room, nothing special ... serviceable. The location overrode everything else. With the caveat about access at night, I would return because of its location. read more
