I signed my contract in early November 2022, and the case was closed May 27, 2023. The first person…read moreI worked with, Valerie, lied to me about the progress of my case and then quit. Then I was working with Tammy, who had been understanding, helpful, and met every meeting. Someone was then hired to do face to face work (SpookyGood) and I was strung along for weeks - only to be told that the contractor went 'missing' right after 'getting information that would be a slam dunk to my case' and then canceled his contract with 'Traci Investigations', leaving me out of the information he supposedly found and the money that was taken from my retainer. Tracie Investigations refused to press charges against this collaborator, and refused to refund me the $500 that they took from my retainer - $500 that this person supposedly stole. Then Tracie took the case, and again I was strung along for weeks/months. Promises of things going to be done that never happened. After I brought up the extended time frame of the case, he told me that they were going to have a locally famous cyber expert search for me on the dark web that Tracie was going to cover due to this taking so long, as well as him covering a bank/asset search for the individual that I paid them to help me with (which he supposedly already had sent off with another batch, but that seems to have no longer happened). These things 'went away' when I again asked for a breakdown for my retainer. I received it a few days later and was told my case closed. A good 75% of the information in the report was also information that I had provided when the case started. Tracie Investigations owes me $500 for the money stolen by their contractor, and promises things that are apparently just taken away when asked to see what they have done with a retainer. I can understand if information could just not be found, which happens (and found info is not guaranteed in this business), but Tracie Investigations lied to me about what had been done/what would be done, and allowed money to be stolen from my retainer that was not replaced or refunded. I don't mark it one star because Tammy was very helpful and sympathetic. Tracie however needs to work on time management, promises to clients, and fighting for a client if/when a contractor does them dirty. Lying isn't good business.
