Another great Minnesota brewery! Went here just to get a sticker and ended up having a few beers and filling up my growler! I had their chocolate peanut butter porter and it hit the spot! The bar tenders were very friendly and offered me lots of samples, hard to turn that down. They have enough seating for large crowds and have a small patio during the summer to enjoy beer in the sun. Parking lot is small but they have street parking. It's close to other businesses and Lake Waconia. read more

We decided to take advantage of the 70* day in October (thanks global warming?) and headed over to Waconia Brewing. I had been to Waconia before, but never to the brewery. We got a great flight with some choices recommended by the friendly Beertender including their Vanilla cream ale, their Chocolate PB Porter, their seasonal 2xIPA and an apple ale. All were great with my favorite being the PB Porter. We enjoyed the sun on the patio that is part of their parking lot. But for anyone going while it is still nice out, there is a TON of bees. They're working to mitigate some of that with bee traps; but there still were a ton. So if you're not a fan perhaps enjoying their spacious inside is better! We are planning to come back again soon. It's not the closest brewery to my house, but it is my favorite in the area. I have yet to have a beer I didn't like and the staff is super friendly. Dog friendly, pretty regular food truck line up, and just COMFORTABLE every time. read more

Stopped in yesterday for a couple rainy day beers. I didn't get a picture nor get to enjoy their parking lot patio. With the beertenders suggestion I opted for a Mango Kolsch, it was delicious; thank you! I liked that there was a little sitting area in the corner. This brewery has our current favorite beer, the chocolate peanut butter porter, of course! Tastes just like the peanut butter patty Girl Scout cookies. SO DELICIOUS! Honestly, the best PB porter I've ever had. And yes, I've had the infamous PB porter from a specific brewery in Northeast. Waconia Brewing is a nice place to stop and have a beer. They present a decent variety from which to choose from the Wactown Wheat to the Peanut Butter Porter. Not necessarily as much variety as some places, but it seems as they are smart to be putting out what their patrons drink. The service is always friendly and prompt. Very willing to let you try brews before you get a full pour. Once a year WBC invites people to join the Founder's Club. For $100 patrons get a Founder's size glass (4oz more than the regular pour), a sticker, shirt, and lifetime Founder's pours when you order. The setting of this brewery is fairly nice, especially if you are able to get the comfy seats by the fire or the tall couches along the wall. While there, depending on the evening, there's plenty of activity that invites participation if you wish. Parking is somewhat limited in front of the place as it's a part of a mini-mall, but there is parking on the street as well. read more

Great selection, taste, taproom, and staff - this is about all you could ask for in a watering hole. After opening recently a few friends and I decided to give this new spot a try. I've been to about a dozen different twin cities breweries and really enjoy the likes of Dangerous Man, Bauhaus, and Indeed among others. This brand new small town brewery can stand up to the best of them. They clearly have a great marketing team and also spent a pretty penny on outfitting the tap room with nice tables, furniture, two TVs, and logos. I've seen other small time breweries start out of the opposite way, very small with a limited budget and only thought about the tap room as an afterthought. The beers were very good in my opinion. I'm not a beer snob but certainly enjoy a nice Amber Ale or Wheaty orange brew. I selected the 255 Amber Ale and the WacTown Wheat which are two of their four flagship brews. The Amber was deliciously light and fruity, with that beautiful Amber color and easy drinkability. The Wheat was just as I expected, it came in a nice Weizen Glass(taller with curves), had light appearance, some carbonation, and plenty of wheat and yeast. The guys I was with tried the 342(not a big fan), Session BIPA(drank hard), and the 90K IPA(good stuff). I also had a Root Beer that came in a nice frosty mug. It was good root beer although I'm not sure if it was brewed in house or an off the shelf brand. I found two minor issues with the Brewery. The first is that when we arrived at around 8 pm there were quite a few kids(4-8yr olds) running around the place while their parents drank. Waconia is a small town so I'm not too surprised, but I would prefer that the tap room manager Dee run some type of an adult establishment past 8pm on a Saturday night. If the kids were a bit more calm and not running around yelling I would have minded less. The second issue was that the food selection is weak. They don't offer their own food and Waconia simply doesn't have many options to order in. WBC does have "Ground Round" as an option to order for delivery, but I'm not really a fan of that option. Overall I went with 5/5 stars since really this is an impressive new brewery. The most important part - the beers; are mostly very good and I'd imagine only will get better. The selection is great for such a new brewery as well. The tap room itself is beautiful, and the staff friendly and attentive(maybe even over staffed). I will be back here for more pints in the future. read more

From the flagship 90K and 255 Amber to the sweet Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter and seasonal Raspberry Blonde, all pallets will be satisfied. Food trucks and local music on the weekends. The beer was delicious - I had the 90k IPA and a flight of the Porter. Had plenty of room to accomidate our group of 10 even while being moderately busy. Nice asthctic - very warm and inviting. Its a shame the service didnt really match the physical atmosphere, which I found amusing because their website says it's "approachable beer from approachable people". Didn't get that vibe at all. Maybe she was having a bad day, but the young lady who waited on me twice looked like she was completely irritated to be there. I get it honey, its a beautiful day and you are stuck inside pouring beer to us losers but - at least pretend to enjoy it. You're not working in a dive bar in the city. Be your brand. read more

Love this place! Waconia now has a micro brewery for people who just love beer! I don't want a lecture on where the hops were grown, or if I'm about to drink some ancient recipe found in a book in a long lost library....that's why I love this place! They just make great beer, have a warm atmosphere, cool tables and chairs and the nicest staff you will ever find! The beer was good, but the bartender was very rude. We have the Hop Passport which is why we visited. When we showed it, he snapped at us that we had to order first. Since this brewery is quite out of our way, it's doubtful, based on how we were treated, that we will be back. read more

Horrible treatment by male bartender. Forgot my mask while ordering and was told no ordering without it and i can only order from a certain spot "due to covid". So after getting my mask i was then told if i didn't comply "everyone in here will die .. and theres the door". I will NEVER be setting foot in there again after such poor treatment. read more

Great beer and environment. Apparently a family owned and operated business with an experienced, non-family, Brew Master. He seems to know what he is doing. Stopped in for a quick beer prior to my daughter's hockey scrimmage. Most of the other parents went to a local restaurant to wait out the 45 minutes before the game. I did a quick search on my phone and found this establishment. I am glad I did so. I had a bear at the brewery and it was so good I brought home a growler Friendly staff, will be back. The best brewery in Minnesota. If you want to see what the best of the Minnesota craft beer scene looks like this is it. Whether you are into light stuff (Kolsch) medium bodied (Amber) or dark beer (BP Porter and the Laketown Brown) this place has it. The people are friendly, there are leather couches and a fireplace, the prices are affordable and they have a frequent drinker card (buy 10 growlers get 1 free). Their seasonal beers are fantastic...especially the Laketown Brown. The brewers here aren't afraid to experiment and the stuff they come up with is impressive. They have food truck nights, live music, you can play games at the tables, I love this place. read more

Walked in with a group of 15, bar was not very busy so we were not overwhelming. Bartender was not friendly, nor helpful. When asked what the brown ale was like, the response we received was "umm ... it's a brown ale." Should take some server lessons from Sovereign Estates, Schram and J Carver Distillery. Great Beer, great people. 90k IPA or the 255 Amber are favorites for their flagships, while Tom head brewer is continually offering 5+ beers outside of flagships on a consistent basis. Family owned and it tells. Good people who care about the community donating back for good causes through their drink one down for the town events. The tap room is kid friendly with root beer and board games. Food trucks are regularly stationed outside or you can pick up food from one of the many Waconia joints in town and eat in the brewery. The place is ok had better beer. Price is about right. Not a real big selection to choose from. Staff wasn't friendly most of them seemed like they were not happy to be there. When ordering we ordered a glass of water and ice the bartender said they didn't have any ice. read more
