Their deli also does custom orders for platers and some catering. Along with the food items they also supply a small amount of hardware, pet needs, household items, camping, and souvenirs. The owners and staff are friendly and willing to assist where they can with getting in items that you may need or want that are not seen readily on the shelves. They are well known for their generosity with those in need in the community, participating in community events, and donating to local food pantries.

Given that this is one of the only restaurants on the island I can totally see the challenge in keeping this place running and I was grateful to have some food options. The location is picturesque with indoor and outdoor seating, game areas upstairs and plenty of separated spots for groups.

The shop has a multitude of selections, from oils/vinegars/olives/dishware/teas/apparel. During this visit, I purchased the Aged Raspberry Dark Balsamic Vinegar, which pairs well with basil, garlic, lime. The staff members were very helpful and will gladly prepare as many as you wish to taste. There's a reason why this business receives only 5 star reviews and I just gladly added to their continued success.

I found Cross Island Farms on the internet and we decided to check it out. The farm was not what I expected but it turned out to be a pleasant experience. When we drove up to the front of the house (yes, house) we were greeted by two friendly dogs. As we are all dog lovers, we made friends with them right away. We went inside and saw a table full of fresh fruit and vegetables and more in a refrigerated case. Someone (one of the owners?) came to help us. She helped us choose what we needed and told us about the selection of meats. We then also bought a thick sirloin steak that we ate that night. It was yummy. She also told us about the fruit picking. We went back the following morning to do that and got some more freshly picked fruit. Wow, those strawberries were very tasty. Can't get them in Westchester County. (We live in Peekskil, NY and Denver. No one is from San Francisco. Where did that come from?) As for the animals, I think you have to take the full tour to see them all. But we did see a few pigs and goats. I wanted to pet them all as they seemed friendly but they were behind a fence. Oh well. Overall, a very satisfying experience. Just don't expect anything fancy.

They sell goat, beef, pork, [organic/free-range] eggs, fruits, vegetables and herbs. They have educational (and enjoyable) farm tours, primitive campsites (private&no energy/water hook-ups, walk in etc.,) and volunteer opportunities. It is a fairly small farm run by two people in the thousand islands region of NY.

They had some beautiful painted rocks from local artists I had to purchase one for my garden back home! Hopefully I get back here when there's some live music.

My husband and I got invited to my son's new roommate's home for dinner so I wanted to bring the hostess some vegetable plants. April is too early in the season for actual plants, but they had lots of seeds which I purchased. My son's new roommates were really happy to get those seeds to plant in May after the last frost.

This year we stopped in Memorial Day weekend and the owner told us she didn't have the syrups yet but would the following weekend. We then stopped in 2 weekends later and spoke to another women who was very rude and said nope, they didn't have it. Fast forward to 4th of July weekend and we stopped in again (hoping maybe by chance she would have it) and that same women again very rude didn't want to give me the time of day when my kids asked if they had any. Last weekend we stopped in again and the owner assured us she would have it the following day. We waited a week and went back, the owner was not there and however the other women was and said "oh my god, no we don't have any, she never made it". She again was very rude. Needless to say, we won't be back.
