Waffa's Kitchen catered my mother's celebration of life today and they did an amazing job. The food was absolutely delicious and displayed beautifully for our guests. Everyone raved about how tasty it was. And THE BEST baklava they've ever had. It was wonderful to have a wide selection of items for everyone to enjoy. Everyone from Waffa's was a delight to work with. I will definitely be enjoying their food soon!

We were craving Mediterranean cuisine and we were close to waffa's Kitchen. It has been a while since we went there. The place was clean and organized. They rearranged the tables which were better than before We ordered the following to go; -Kafta Kebab: 4.5/5 Mixed ground beef, parsley, onion & Mediterranean spices, rice. It comes with green salad, pickles and onions and pita bread. The Kafta were very juicy and tender. The salad was sour. - Roasted Vegetable Medley: 4.5/5 Zucchini, eggplants, tomato, peppers, onions, rice and pita bread. The vegetables were very savory and well seasoned. - Sfiha (meat pie)     The Highlit 5/5 Homemade dough stuffed with mixture of pine nuts, ground beef, onion, pomegranate molasses & spices -Baklava  (6 pieces)  5/5 It was perfect! Not to sweet and filled with nuts. The only thing that I checked on Yelp and it said one free baklava but the lady told me that the deal was gone years ago. I totally understood, and I said it was okay since I was planning to buy 6 pieces of baklava. When I went home I read the previous reviews, many customers received the Yelp check in offer very recently. Anyway, the food was delicious and the baklava was outstanding. It's a nice mediterranean restaurant in Glendora. Overall I will give it 4.5 stars.

If you are looking for one of the best Mediterranean food in town look no further. Waffa's kitchen is so reliable and consistent with their food quality and taste. John and his team delivered, set up and served the food for our Mercy meal. It was AAAmazing!!! Food GALORE!! They drove to Anaheim from Glendora. Just can't thank them enough for their service, DELICIOUS food and generous portions. Every person made the same comment, "wow this food is Soo delicious, who did you cater from?" I am one who is always reluctant to ever cater food. The BEST decision I ever made!! Don't think twice...Waffa's Kitchen is the caterer you want to use Thank you John

My daughter loves Mediterranean food, so I chose Waffa's to cater for her bridal shower. I had scheduled a taste test appointment and was greeted by Tony. He had freshly made appetizers and a plate ready for me to try. The food was delicious and tasted so fresh! The day of the bridal shower, Tony made sure he was available to deliver the food and make sure the upgraded set up was all up to par. They even provided printed cards which listed the items/ingredients being served. He told me all their food is taste treated prior to delivery. The set up was perfect and the service was top notch. All our guests raved about how delicious the food was. The day after the shower, Tony took the time to call me to ask how everything went. Not many caterers do that! I highly recommend Waffa's Kitchen for your next event. They will not disappoint. Thank you Tony and your team for a job well done! We will be using your catering service again in the future!

There were about 6 pieces of burnt/charred beef in the beef plate.

The steak and chicken plates are great and food is fresh, I love coming to this place especially since it's owned by a small local family.

Only thing better than the food is the price! Nice people, great kabobs and shawarma. Fresh pita bread. Plates are enough for two people.

My husband and I usually order take-out, but on our recent visit, we decided to dine in. We arrived on a Sunday evening (5pm). Parking is shared with other businesses in the plaza. We found one in the shade. The restaurant is small, but they utilize their space well. There are 4 tables and I believe 3 high-top tables as well as outdoor seating. The interior is well-kept and decorated nicely to match the Greek theme. Ordering takes place at the counter, no self-serve kiosk. They have many menu options like sides, gyros, plates, kids menu, family meal, lunch specials, soups, and desserts. My go-to item is their Greek Chicken Pita with Lemon Sauce in place of the tzatziki ($13). I would sometimes order this with a side of fries, but my husband got it in his combo. The reason I order this all the time is because the pita not only tastes amazing, it's also filling! There's grilled chicken, potatoes, pickled onions, greens, and lemon sauce. The pita is thick and has the perfect chew to it. There is so much flavor in every bite! The fries were delicious as well. They were soft on the inside and crisp and seasoned well on the outside. Overall, a great spot for Mediterranean food. I would happily recommend this to anyone!

We stopped by this past Sunday a little after 3 PM and were invited to sit anywhere inside. It took a little bit of time to get our menus but that was no problem for us. Here's what we ordered: **Spicy Lebni Plate: We were between this and the tzatziki but ultimately went with the spicy lebni plate because it's something we haven't seen before. We ended up dipping every single thing we had on our table in this dip. With that being said, this was BOMBDOTCOM. (5/5) **Soujouk Boreg: I've had a take on soujouk boreg once so I don't know what a good one is supposed to be like but I'm guessing this is it. This was one of the most delicious savory pastries I've ever had in my life. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor! (5/5) **Fried Cauliflower: Extremely zesty although, I would've liked to see some lemon wedges on the side for those that want just a little bit more. The hummus dip they served with this was good but was amazing with the spicy lebni. One of the best cauliflower dishes I've had to date. (5/5) **Combo for Two: The chicken kebab was borderline juicy and dry but had very good flavor. The beef kebab cooked medium was amazing. The lule kebab was slightly gamey and very salty. The charred pepper was very delicious and I highly recommend you eat it with everything else on the platter. The rice was a little on the saltier side but once you eat everything with pita bread, it's more tolerable. Great dish overall but not spectacular like the others. (4/5) **Jallab: I love trying drinks from different cultures. I was told this was on the sweeter side but I ordered it anyways because it sounded very intriguing. I'm generally not a fan of floral flavors but the mix of rose water, grape molasses, and dates was very refreshing and delicious. Very refreshing and a perfect combo with our meal. (5/5) Overall, great flavor and affordable prices. Everything we had was so delicious but that spicy lebni plate was a massive gamechanger. Definitely ordered too much for two people but we ended up finishing everything besides some pita bread. All that food was just under $90 which was very surprising. If you want to save more, you can pay cash to pay a little over 3% less. The only downside was the slow service at times. It took significantly long to receive our menus and our check at the end. Mr gf was not offered any refills for her coke. We did however, receive one refill for our water during our meal. I usually dock a star for lack of service but honestly, the food was just so amazing that I couldn't do that. I hope management sees this review because this place would easily be my new favorite restaurant if the service was as good as the food quality. This is by far one of the best Mediterranean spots we've ever had. I 100% recommend The Diplomat Junior and we will be back soon!

I know the World Cup game was on last night, so the woman who was taking orders at the front was a bit distracted - I get it. I just don't think it's fair that I accept the type of service I received last night just because the game was on. It is totally possible to watch the game AND do your job...just not for the employees last night. My parents ordered the chicken and fries plate, they always get that. They put their entire order to go, when they didn't order it to go. My parents kept saying "why did I pay this much to put my own meal together?" About 25 minutes passed by and my order, the feta fries, was not out. I went up to check on my order and the woman working said "sorry he forgot to make it." And I replied, "my family finished their meal already". She said "do you not want it anymore? He's almost done." So I waited another 5 minutes (I guess he wasn't almost done...) and my order was ready. No apology. Also how do you forget to cook a meal when it's literally your task? While I was waiting for my food, there wasn't a single person in line, and the woman who ordered shortly after me got her food right away. While my family sat there and waited for me to finish my meal (cause they already finished their's) the same woman who took my order and didn't apologize for the kitchen staff forgetting to cook food, went over to smog city to grab a seltzer and Micheladas for her and the other guys working. It is really unprofessional to be drinking on the job. I'm really disappointed by this whole experience because my family and I really like this place. After that bad experience, we won't be eating here again. I hope management addresses this with their staff. It's also a huge safety hazard to have your kitchen staff drink while working, especially if they are working with knives and fryers. Yikes.

Disclosure: I've enjoyed Mediterranean cuisine ever since I attended elementary school on the UCLA campus in the early '80s and would get after-school Falafels or Shawarma wraps at the eponymous Falafel King in Westwood Village. Suitably armed with 40-pls yrs of dining experience amid the vast Syrian/Lebanese diaspora, what's a common complaint that grouchy naysayers may wanna level at Mediterranean fare? "Ohh, but all they serve are chicken/beef shawarma, falafel balls and lamb gyros! Not enough varieties of protein!!" [I've fielded this complaint from my grown kids for a few years now] Well- Leave it to your enterprising and innovative Uncle Omar to solve that complaint!!! These new brisket wraps are a wondrous hybrid of Mediterranean housing (the flaky but firm Shrek wrap) and All American (B-R-I-S-K-E-T!!) filling. The caliber of the brisket is top notch. Pull apart tendrils of low and slow cooked beef, sumptuously moist but not overly wet. Well seasoned but not deluged in 'cue sauce that obscures the unctuous beefy flavor... Commingle the brisket, lovingly slow cooked for sixteen hours, with diced onions, succulent tomatoes, Persian pickles and their strong-as-a-Rocky-Balboa haymaker garlic sauce...and you've got yourself a crave-worthy, eminently edible new addition to the Family! The ambiance at Abu Omar remains nonpareil. Luminously clean prep area openly visible so the OCDs among us can see their meal lovingly prepared; Sunburnt burgundy brick walls offset by striking Route 66 imagery; Floors so clean you COULD probably get away w/ the "5 second its still edible" rule we usta summon as kids. The service etiquette of Owner Wissam Shloul and his small but devoted staff is exemplary. Great food, meticulously fabricated while you wait. Pro Tip- Need your Mediterranean fix late at night? Fuggetabout "banker's hours," Abu Omar keeps hospital or casino hours! They're open til 1am, nightly. My meal was $19.01 with taxes.
