Finally... FI-NAL-LY!! I came when they're still open!! If you check in- you get free baklava... whose going to say no thank you to that? I ordered me and my wife a beef kabob and chicken swarma. Oh my goodness!! My wife and I devoured our plates... completely. Lol!! We didn't have much to say during our meals bc we were just astounded by the flavors of the rice pilaf, the marinade. It was a great experience!! This is a definite treasure here in Glendora. Just love these family owned restaurants. They're close by and the prices are reasonable. Would I recommend this place to my family? Heck I'll bring them here!! That's how great it was! Just wished their hours were more on the tail end of 7pm or 730pm. With over 110 people for my husband's 50th birthday, there were a lot of dishes to prepare, keep warm/fresh, and display. From the first phone call, the owner Antoine was extremely accommodating and also gave us great suggestions to maximize our variety. We had meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans to please. Not one person went without food. Vegan Kibbee balls.. oh my!!!! Of course the rest of my family is obsessed with the real Kibbee!! New local place that we tried this week. We got the tabbouleh, the sfiha, fried kibbeh, and falafel. Everything was good but I really liked the tabbouleh and the fried kibbeh, they tasted authentic and delicious. He is so professional and pleasant to deal with answered all of our questions and accommodated all of our requests. Come party day his team consisting of himself , two waiters and a bartender were very pleasant and professional to work with. They were very attentive to everyone's needs. As for the food it was the most delicious food I have had from a middle Eastern restaurant thus far. All my guests enjoyed it . The presentation was top notch and the food was abundant . TLDR: Waffa's Kitchen is a place that will treat you like you are family. While trying to decide what to eat one day, my friend suggested we should get Mediterranean food. We saw this place on Yelp and after trying we were surprised. The owner served us and was beyond courteous. He gave us the history of the restaurant and clearly showed a passion for the work he is in. He brought us some hummus and garlic sauce on the house. I have to say that the hummus here is one of the best I had ever had. Just from looking at it you know it's going to be good. It's so airy and light on the palette. The garlic sauce is beyond anything that I have ever tasted. I would come back just to order a side of this. 110% recommend this!! I had the shrimp kabob plate! The shrimp were cooked so gently and well seasoned. It also came with a salad, rice, pita and of course more hummus! This place is a hidden gem! We stopped here for lunch and got chicken kabob plate, mutabal, and lamb chops plate. The plates came with rice, hummus, and a vegetable. The chicken came with salad while the lamb came with stewed green beans. Everything was so tasty. If you like lamb, I highly recommend the lamb chops- ridiculously tender and very flavorful. The green beans were delicious, as was the mutabal. Their garlic sauce is also excellent- not too strong but definitely strong enough. Very disappointed. $62 for this. The meat is minimal and overcooked. I could pay this amount dining in somewhere with better food and bigger quantities say for example Zankou. Super nice friendly people. They were really BUSY working in the kitchen...so I was like the kid at my own house ALONE in the dining room while mom busy cooking in the kitchen. It took about 15 mins to have my order ready. I ordered the beef kabob plate, the salad dressing was too sour for my taste. Hummus was delicious. Rice tasted like instant rice (that's a little strange). The beef was very tender and the original flavor was not overpowered by the spices. The Pita bread was the kind you probably can buy at supermarket. (they actually just gave me 2 pita breads in the plastic bag said Arabic Bread, from Good N' Fresh bakery, Santa Ana) I really like their food but It was a little hot inside so I think I will just get a to go order next time. read more

I've been coming here for years. Friendly staff, great food and I willingly paid their price increase BUT portion sizes of food are terrible now - just unfair! Everything from the meats (of couse) to the miserable amount of counted veggies. The amount of food you're getting is just not worth it you will not get full. Where do I begin? I'll start with the excellent customer service and the general treatment by everyone, from the first initial phone call, I was greeted kindly and helped. I was recommended this place my my uncle to cater my wedding, my now husband and I had stopped by to check out the food and told them we're looking to cater for our upcoming wedding. We ordered a few things to try. Let me just say, every bite we took, we fell more and more in love with the food! The meat was the best, juiciest and perfectly cooked meat I have ever tried. The rice was full of flavor, and everything else was just like eating my moms cooking. The tabouleh HANDS DOWN was the best tabouleh I have ever tried next to my moms. Any time I've tried tabouleh at a restaurant, it was not chopped properly, lacking flavor and didn't pack a punch. This was by far the best! Fast forward to October, 2 weeks before my wedding we ordered for my birthday dinner. My whole family fell in love with the food. My wedding just passed this weekend, we had about 30 guests but ordered for about 50. The food was gone! Everyone came up to us to tell us how excellent the food was and that they had gone for not only seconds, but thirds! The service was incredible. John catered and was so helpful! I've been here a few times for several years now. I don't know why I don't come more often. I've always had a good experience here with amazing customer service and good food. I used to get the tabouleh before class when I didn't want to get messy or feel too full and every time it tasted bomb! I hate when it's not sour enough or when it's dry. I had it again today along with the kibbeh...the kibbeh & the tabouleh were SO yummy. Neither of it was dry or too salty like some places. Highly recommend! They have amazing catering options as well. **Update: This place deserves an extra 10 stars for taking extra little precautions amidst the covid pandemic we are currently experiencing. Hand sanitizer was available in the front and there were containers for used and clean pens. I've been to a few places for takeout and can't say they've done any of that. I've visited this place twice but my wife ordered to go once. The food was amazing. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars is the service. First time I came here on a Saturday around 2pm. I saw the open sign on and walked in. I saw tables and chairs put away and figured only take out. The guy told me unfortunately they had a big 200 order catering service so they weren't taking orders. Didn't really apologize about it just explained they couldn't take the order. We left. Second time they were open today (5/27/23) 3pm. We came in and waited behind other customers ordering. They seemed busy so we grabbed a menu and sat out self down. We waited about 15 min and no one came to take our order. I assumed the guy behind the counter was the only one. He even went to grab the people that were ordering a snack to try. My wife and I decide to leave. After we left one of the guys come out from back where we were sitting and just wipes the table down. They couldn't take our order cause they were busy but not busy enough to wipe our table down after we left. I really love Mediterranean food. Too bad. read more
