Nice staff but food was horrible. Waffles were doughy, bacon was cheap and flimsy. I ordered over medium eggs and they were fried all the way. My wife scrambled eggs tasted like liquid eggs. Don't think I will be eating here ever again. read more

The breakfast was very good. 3 egg bacon, spinach and Swiss omlet. Lots of bacon and the hash browns were extra crispy as I ordered. Have not had more than one lunch entree so I don't feel qualified to comment. This is the closest to my favorite breakfast restaurant in my last town I lived. We went based on a recommendation and were very happy we ate there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It's truly a local restaurant, but we felt right at home. The portions are very generous. We had pancakes, French toast, and an omelette. The fruit bowl was huge and filled with all sorts of fresh fruit. The prices are very reasonable. This is a great place for breakfast if you are visiting Millington/Memphis area. read more

Came here for Sunday breakfast and it was delicious. We put our name on the list for a party of three and it didn't take longer than 20 minutes to sit down. This was around 930am, the wait was worth it. The hash browns were perfect with a good crisp on top. My over easy eggs were delicious as well and let's not forget about the bacon (hands down the most flavorful bacon I've had in a while). Loved the set up inside, feels very homey. Wonderful breakfast and even better service. My husband and I took our four children in for our 2nd time. We had the sweetest, most attentive waitress names both times named Carley. She was not only personable to my husband and I, she also interacted with my children. Her smile lit up the room. The good, the bad, and everything in between. Let me start by saying, Im being a bit picky on this review. This place could easily be a 4 star with a few minor improvements. With the only real competition in town being Jay's, this place has the potential to seize the breakfast market for those not wanting to travel out of Millington. Lets start with the areas of improvement (minor) then end on a high note. My first critique could easily go either way depending on personal opinion...which is portion size. Yall, if you're hungry, this is the place to go!!! I can eat...I can put some food away...I barely ate HALF of my breakfast (Biscuit and gravy skillet). The portions are a bit big. Next critique comes is the flavor, again an issue of personal opinion... Biscuits and gravy is one of my favorites. It didnt taste bad, let me say that. The flavor of the gravy just left something to be wanted. Last critique comes off the kid's menu...the Funny face pancake. Yall it was a pancake BATHING in chocolate syrup, with tons of whipped cream and sprinkles. If you're kid eats more than half, between the size and the sugar content, they're going to feel miserable. Now lets talk about all the good...First off, the staff. Good, kind, attentive and fast. The waitress was the sweetest, even brought our daughter a crazy straw. The food came out very quick and still fresh and hot, not like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The coffee...holy cow, these pioneers are the first restaurant Ive seen that truly understands coffee drinkers. The cup of coffee is huge compared to most diners. This is good for the drinker who gets their fill, and the waitress who doesnt have to make as many rounds filling everyone's coffee cups. Next up, the waffles...they have that sweet and savory buttery flavor, pretty good and (big like everything else). Last but not least, prices. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the portions. If you get one of the bigger menu items, its easily two meals for the price of one. A few miscellaneous items...folks pay attention to the design of the parking lot. Its a U-shape that wraps around the building (like most commercial buildings in that part of town). Its not rocket science, treat it like a one way for everyone's sake. If you know Millington, you will notice they set up shop almost directly across from their competitor. Whether by accident or design, its still funny, and should make for an interesting battle of the breakfasts. All in all, I would say Waffle and Pancake House is the best breakfast spot in Millington. That said, I would still travel to my favorite spots in Memphis. This spot is more about convenience than anything else. I give it a 3.5 stars. I tend to grade tough so I just cant get to the 4...yet. This was our first time and we will likely be back again. read more

There was about a 15 min wait for 3 of us but it was worth it! The service was great and all of our food was delicious. The cinnamon roll pancakes were perfectly sweet! Today I wanted to try the Waffle and Pancake House that I have heard a few people talk about. This place was pretty busy! You walk in & you will write your name & the number of people in your party. There was a wait time, but the service is fast and efficient. I ordered the chicken & waffles. As the old folks say, "it was nothing to write home about." They have a number of things to choose from. What an awesome addition to millington. Don't let a couple tire kicker reviews persuade you different. Been here a few times since opened, never disappoints.. Prices are unbeaten, service good, food portions are appreciated, and food is tasty. The facility can get busy on the weekends, so go earlier if you don't want to watch others eat I'll recommend the skillets or chicken fried steak personally, the pecan pancakes are also a fav of mine. The food is excellent with a varied menu. As far as value is concerned, if you leave they're hungry it's your own fault. I have been a number of times and end up having leftovers to take home for dinner almost every time. I give the service four stars instead of five only because they get very busy and sometimes you have to get the waitresses attention if you want refills on drinks. Where can I start? This place is a hidden gem I went there with my wife and the first thing I see was a huge plate of waffle and chicken and first thought was maybe they ordered the extra thick one? Nah this is their basic one I guess lol my wife ended up ordering that and it was amazing! The sweet and salty taste of the whole thing was really nice. I worked a basic breakfast with steak, hash browns, eggs, butter wheat bread and gravy thinking oh maybe it's like other places portions, man was I wrong lol it was a huge platter! And the gravy was a whole bowl! Amazing. Our server was great, she immediately knew it was our first time from how we were looking at the menu and food. This is a fairly new restaurant in Millington and I'm happy to see that they have been steadily busy since they've opened. I eat breakfast here a few Fridays a month. The menu is great because it has a large selection to choose from. They also have a board by the door with the list of daily specials. Everything that I have eaten here was incredibly good. It's so good that a few days later you're thinking, "Damn I wish I had some of that Cheesecake French toast right now!" This was my first time to try this establishment. We had a little bit of a wait (15 minutes) as the line was out the door. After we were seated, we were greeted pretty quickly and our drink order was taken. The menu is simple with reasonably priced food items (ex. For $4.95, you can get 1 egg, bacon, eggs and toast - no joke). I added 1 pancake to that thinking that the portions were small and I'd probably want more. Boy, was I wrong. The portions are adequate and I could t even finish my food. My son had a strawberry Nutella waffle combo meal with eggs, sausage and hash browns and my husband had a Mediterranean skillet with cinnamon swirl pancakes. My only complaint was sitting next to the door where customers came in and out. It created the coldest draft. Beyond that, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. The parking lot is always packed! Food was tasty with good portions and the service was friendly.

We went this past weekend and while there was a line, it moved fairly quickly but no one ever came out to see if you'd put yourself on their list inside, and a paper note taped up front was not visible until we were 2nd in line. A man and guest (child) walked in, passed everyone in line walked up to a waitress and asked to be seated. He was seated right away with no regard to the rest of us who'd been waiting - he didn't have his name on the list but the waitress sat him immediately which ticked some folks off. Food wise it's ok, I wouldn't say it's "rave-able". Average at best but wasn't impressed at all. It was loud. But that's expected. The place was as clean as possible considering the crowd. read more

First off, I would leave 10 stars for service if possible. Our server Ebie was AWESOME! She was constantly checking back with us. And SUPER friendly. And the food was incredible. I got the strawberry waffles and they did NOT skimp on the strawberries like other places. Hubby and son in law got skillets. The portions are huge. None of us finished our meal. And I had to do a double-take on the prices. So reasonable for what we got!! This was our first visit but definitely won't be our last. I will say this, get there early or you will be waiting for a table. We lucked out but when we left there were several parties waiting. Definitely try this place out if you get the opportunity.
