Secondly we had to wait a few to be seated on a Friday evening. That's a good sign. We were sat within 5-10 mins. Our server (Brie) I believe was amazing. We asked her for suggestions. She was not shy and suggested the pork chops and Fish. Boy was she right! I got the catfish. I am not a huge catfish fan unless it is done right and CLEAN. Theirs is exactly that! Well seasoned and amazing! The hush puppies were hand made not frozen and were the best from a restaurant that I have had. I also. Had the baked potato, potato salad. Again easily the best I have ever had. Back to the battered and fried pork chops, unless you are able to eat enough for a family of 4 or the 1/2 portion. They were simply seasoned in a way that any chef should be proud of!! We took 3/4 home and airfares them the next day. He had the green beans with the chops and Lordy they could potentially make you slap your momma. Here's the thing. We eat out a lot and I do write a lot of reviews but this hands down was one the top 5 experiences in the last 3-4 years. This meal with drinks was only $38 before a nice cash tip on the table. I will be back again and again! I hope more people find this special place so close to Lake DeGray

I was super impressed with the quality of the meat and ingredients they use. I cant wait till next time I am in the area. I need to try some of their sweet treats!

If I had been here of my own accord, I would have left long before the food arrived. There was a 20% "large group" fee added on, which was more than this slimy place deserved. The food, literally, took over an hour and a half to arrive, the portions for food and drinks were even smaller and more expensive than they were a year ago, the bathroom was out of paper towels and the only bathroom light was completely out! I had to use my phone light. I would go anywhere else but here. A good alternative, with a similar vibe, is Slim & Shorty's.
