Waffle House has been a family favorite for 4 generations now. If I had to choose a place to eat my last meal, it would probably be here. Specifically, this location. I've eaten at many Waffle Houses over the years, and this one is top notch. We refer to the staff here as "The A Team" - the district manager, the store manager, the waitresses and the cooks - they're all the best! If you're one of the poor pitiful souls who's never been to a Waffle House, here's a list of my favorites: scrambled eggs with cheese and raisin toast with apple butter; cheeseburger and hash browns; and on a cold night, you just can't beat Bert's chili and a BLT. Notice that waffles didn't even make the list? That's my son's go-to, and they are good, after all, that's why they call this place Waffle House. There's something on the menu for everyone's palate. This particular location is clean for WH standards, including the restrooms. If you have any food allergies, just know they take it very seriously. This really is the best WH ever! read more

I came in at 6:00 pm and ordered and everything was fine until the cook touched raw meat. AND HE DID NOT CHANGE GLOVES, after that he started touching on plates, lettuce, condiments, and etc. Had to ask him can he change his gloves so we don't get sick from cross contamination!!! Students wanted to experience a Waffle House despite my better judgement. The tables were dirty despite the restaurant being completely empty. Sat down and ordered super quick. We sat for a good time while the regulars received their meals before us (they arrived well after us). When the food arrived it was cold since our food was sitting on the line. By bacon and eggs were complete dry and burnt. The toast was fine. My coworkers hash browns were wrong. Supposed to have jalapeños and only had a slice of Kraft cheese, also completely raw underneath. The kids really liked their waffles and sausage. That's the two stars. Usually we would have been offered a few refills of coffee I think if we were regulars and not out of towners we would have felt more welcome. read more

Worst experience I've ever had well I can't even say that. After seeing that Waffle House was open we drove from Oxford to get some delicious waffles. But when we got there we walk in and the mean register lady says they have no cook. How the hell do you have no cook?? I've never heard of that before so this definitely gets a one star rating. read more

This place is wonderful. Our tender-hearted waitress served my group wonderful, decadent waffles. My chocolate milk was the perfect ratio of chocolate to milk. My coffee was served at the perfect temperature. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere on this Thursday night at 1 AM. I would highly recommend going completely out of your way for 30 minutes to the wonderful Waffle House if you are looking for an experience that transcends beyond just the food. This place creates bonds in people that would otherwise not be possible. The place wasn't that clean but I think that actually adds to the beauty of Waffle House. read more

Stopped by for a quick breakfast before finishing our road trip. Most waffle houses offer a quick good meal. At this location everyone was friendly and service was quick. However, some of the food items were cold and others were forgotten. I would return to other Waffle House locations, but would not recommend this one! read more

I would rate it a zero but it won't let me sadly waited for an hour for the all star special and a bacon and egg grits bowl. We never got it so we walked out after being looked at and ignored by every single one of the staff and it took them over 30 mins to bring us our water and sweet tea after ordering it. This is an embarrassment to any type of food service and I hope every single one of the workers gets fired for this terrible treatment and service. read more

The food is what you would expect from a waffle house - good, greasy, all-american bacon-and-eggs breakfast. The service is friendly but seems a little uncoordinated. My friend got his breakfast before mine without any explanation and I waited another 5 minutes before mine arrived. It is FREEZING in there. The air conditioning runs full blast and blows directly onto the customers. The bathrooms are filthy. The men's room sink was stopped up and half full of dirty water. read more

The food is good. It's just a hassle to get the staff on the phone to take take out orders. They put callers on hold and never come back to take the order. Which leads to the phone being off the hook for hours and the phone going to an automatic voice message. Bad customer service. read more

While I have always been a fan of Waffle House and have made it a point to give this restaurant my business, this location leaves a LOT to be desired. After watching multiple patrons that arrived after me get served, the waitress finall noticed me long enough to take my order and then forget about me. When my drink was brought to me, the glass had leftover food in it which caused me to return the glass and leave the premises unfed. Guess I will have to stick with Huddle House from now on. read more

The barely literate waitress was more interested in her cell phone conversation than waiting on us. They couldn't take a credit card because they didn't know how to put paper in the machine. Silverware was dirty, country hash browns delivered plain (minus country). The grits were pitiful considering we WERE in the South. This place is pathetic. we had to clean our own table. waited over 30 minutes to get half of my order. silverware was dirty and we never received any when we asked for clean utensils. 40 minutes after I received half of my food my husband's food arrived. when I used. for the hashbrowns that come with my meal I was told they did not! had to show the waitress the menu! we left without getting clean silverware or hashbrowns. forgot to mention - there are mouse traps in the ladies room. I observed cooks using the waffle maker with no gloves on their hands scraping residue from the edge of the waffle iron on the floor and area between the two irons and just letting the piles accumulate. then they touched the waffles with their bare hands! the health department should shut them down. j read more

Me and my girlfriend just moved to batesville and we decided to stop in and get a quick bite before we started our day .When we arrived the waitress was helpful but after getting our food that's when the serviced stopped her and about three other coworkers sat down at a table in the corner and was being so loud we could not think .Our food was the usual anybody would order but the grits where undercooked plus I ordered a side of bacon and only got two pieces and after having a conversation with our waitress she seemed like she didn't care .So go to the Huddle House down the road . read more

Usually I love Waffle House, but not this one. On our first visit to this location, it was absolute CRAP. The restaurant was FREEEEZZZZING, and we had to wait 25 minutes for someone to come seat us, then another 25 for someone to take our drink order. Then, it took them 2 hours to cook 4 All Star Breakfasts. All of our waffles were HARD AS A ROCK, the grits were COLD, the toast was BURNT, the bacon was BURNT, and the eggs were BURNT too. And I told the waitress, and she was very rude about it. She said "Well i'm sorry i don't give 2 craps" and was trying to force us to eat the nasty food anyways. So we left and are never going to this location again. After the horrible experience, we ended up in the Hardee's next door for breakfast. read more
