Seek and ye shall find. So I learned something new. Many Waffle Houses in the area are to-go only after 10/11 pm to about 6 am, with the exception of this one ... for now. It's annoying that some folks cannot go to places without causing issues. As a result, many of these places have made rules that also punish folks who know how to properly conduct themselves while out in public. Ok, I'll get off of my soapbox. The staff at this location was super friendly, and the location was really clean. I went off script and ordered something besides the All Stars combo meal for the 1st time in about 20 years. During my visit, I went with the cheesesteak bowl. I thought the bowl was well made, I just wish there was little more meat in the bowl. But, I just think I was really hungry and greedy for more meat. Meat aside, the bowl came with a HUGE helping of hashbrowns and any other fixings that you might add to the bowl. Random thought: I wish Waffle House would provide other cheeses besides American cheese, because I think this bowl would have been AMAZING with cheddar or Swiss cheese. Hopefully, this Waffle House will keep it's 24/7 dine-in option, but I have a feeling that this location might switch to only to-go orders from 11pm to 6 am like the other locations in the area. read more

Went in there the other day. First time being at Waffle House. It was pretty clean and the staff were all friendly. It was a bit empty and so we got good service. We ordered food and drinks, and got our beverages soon after. My water glass was never empty, and our food came within a good amount of time. Syrup was warm, and everything tasted good. Bacon was only thing not that great as it was very crispy. Overall, would be back, it was a good cheap and quick meal, and the staff were great! read more

Before I start I would like to say that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's begin!. My wife and I were running errands this morning. My wife suggested we grab a quick bite to eat, so we decided on Waffle House because it was close by the conclusion of our errands!. Little as we knew that was a bad decision!. We walked in and the waitress on duty immediately pointed to the table that she wanted us to sit at. She asked us what we wanted to drink, my wife asked for a sweet tea lemonade mixture but she stated for whatever reason that she couldn't mix the sweet tea and lemonade together, so we both agreed to having sweet tea!. We both agreed to order the grand slam breakfast which consists of a waffle, eggs, your choice of shredded potatoes ( which either my wife and I don't eat ) so we opted for grits and cheese, also your choice of meat which was bacon, sausage or ham, we opted for bacon! and your choice of toast wheat, white or raisin toast, we opted for raisin toast!. The waitress left the menus on the table instead of collecting them like most restaurants do. Our food came out promptly. Here was the issues with the waitress: 1. Our grits were not hot, they were warm and not hot enough to melt the slice of cheese they put in it!. 2. When she brought out our waffles, she didn't bring any syrup to the table!. Waffles without syrup? 3. Once she dropped our food off at our table, she walked down to the other end of the restaurant and my wife said she literally watched her make a milkshake with whip cream and sprinkles, suck it down then make another milkshake after that! Wow really? 4. She didn't ask us if we wanted refills for our beverages!. Honestly you can do what you want while on duty but at least check on your customers and tables to make sure we have what we need to enjoy a decent meal! But she did not at all until she was called over by the customers behind us then at that point my wife called us over to our tables and asked for two to go containers because at that point we were done with her lack of service!!... I only gave one star because the waitress was very polite when she did interact with us... Will I return? No way! Would I recommend this establishment? No way!. I would also like to add the restaurant was empty, maybe 6 people including my wife and I so there was no reason for the service we received!. read more

I love the Waffle House, and this is one of my favorite locations. My godsons, girlfriend, and I went for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday and we got seated immediately at the high top table, which is my personally favorite place to sit- I love to watch the food be cooked and see the whole process that The Waffle House is. Our server was nice, the food was good, and the best part was the cook that was going the sausages, bacon, and ham was so sweet to my oldest godson who loves to say hi to everyone. The cook said hi to him and then gave him a thumbs up when my godson was eating his bacon (kinda like to see "Is it good?"), which my godson loved. I love coming here, and even when I have to wait for a table (normally on Sundays), it's worth it! read more

I love Waffle House and when we back moved over here I was so excited to be right down the road from one... been to it three times now and it's sad to say the guy that cooks at night is always so rude... but this was the last straw. We get to the shop and they were doing Togo only, not a problem. The young lady very nice told us it would be a 20min ish wait, we said not a problem . Ordered and went to leave (we planned on going home and coming back). We get to the door and the cook says and I quote "you told them 20 mins ish right ? Like I don't want them coming back and talking all that mess " we looked back and said "go ahead and cancel our order" This will sadly be our last visit! We are going to check out the ihop down the way. This was our third bad visit and it was all because of one person. read more

Where do you eat at 2:30am? Of course I went to Waffle House. I came in and they brewed a fresh pot of coffee and took my order immediately. While the crowd was interesting, some ladies dressed to the nines and a drunk asleep in his car, they were a happy bunch. It's Waffle House. Food literally tastes the same at every single one. I love this place, but rarely go. Where else can you get a huge breakfast for $7. I went to this one with family over the holidays. We sat at the counter and were served quickly by a friendly waitress who kept our coffee mugs full and accommodated any requests we had. I ain't never lifted off the toilet quite like the other day when I ate here, had some serious explosive hang time like an hour later no cap. It's a waffle house! Good cheap food quick. Onecomplaint is the weird small booths? I haven't seen that at any other Waffle Houses in the area, maybe it is a new thing. Another complaint would be when someone orders onions/jalapenos the vapors from cooking said food fills the air and can irritate your eyes. Other than that the staff seem very friendly but tend to rush you if you are visiting in the morning on the weekend. read more

Went for Sunday morning breakfast at this location. First time in a very long time that we went to a Waffle House . The waffle was very good as well as the coffee(but no offer of refills by the server). The server was very polite. I'm not rating this as a 3 star because it's a great restaurant that everyone should consider as the best... But it delivers exactly what you should come to expect from a 24-hour quick in and out local spot to get some food to cure your hunger pains or hangover. The servers barely make money and it shows. The place is not the cleanest, so take a few wipes or ask the waitress to clean your table. There's probably a guarantee that you'll be better off cleaning it yourself since the server is used to everyone cleaning around them before they eat. My recommendation is to sit at the bar... if you can... Build rapport with the cook & server... And you'll pretty much get a very decent experience at a low cost. When I'm looking for a down to earth, no frills good breakfast I go to wafflehouse. I've been a patron of waffle houses since I moved out on my own at 20 years of age and many, many years later I still find myself getting the same: cheese n eggs (scrambled) with a side of buttered grits, sausage patty and raisin toast with a glass of OJ to wash it all down. This location is ok, sometimes the grits are too lumpy, or my eggs are cooked a little harder than I want them to be. But overall I leave satisfied and not hungry, and sometimes that's all I'm looking for. As far as cleanliness, I mean it's decent. They could stand to do a deep clean once in a while. They always wipe the table down right before we sit. Overall: it's not 5 stars, it's not fancy by any means, so don't come here expecting white glove service. It's a get in, eat and get out type of establishment so if you are looking for food just to fill your belly, look no further than waffle house. read more

Easily the worse WH I've visited in 4 States. Grits were really chunky and cold. Meat came 5 minutes after the cold grits and eggs arrived. I basically ate a cold meal. I still however tip 20% because I'm too nice. read more

My family here in Virginia told me that The Waffle House is seen throughout the east coast so I was eager to try this place. I thought it was terrible. We walked in and they had tiny booths. Good enough to fit 2 people. There were probably 2 large booths but those were occupied. Most of the tables were filfthy. We found one that was a tad clean so we decided to sit there. I decided to get one buttermilk waffle. She brought out the waffle but she took awhile to find the syrup and bring it back. I thought my food wouldn't take that long. My brother who ordered more food than I did came out before my one waffle. The waffle was good. Very thin but I shouldn't expect much since it was less than $2. Well they cook everything out in the open. I thought that was terrible. Their air vent things must have not been working that day I went in because while we were eating it just got smokey EVERYWHERE. We came out smelling like waffles. If you enjoy that smell then eat there. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

What do you expect from a Waffle House? They are all dirty I think. I was glad that no one was smoking. That morning I just needed a waffle, some eggs, and some greasy hash browns...and waffle house delivered. The place is dirty, the waitresses are rough, and the cooks look like they just got out for good behavior. But the food was down home greasy and good. Dont go here if you are expecting 5 star dining. Go here if you want to fill your belly (fairly cheaply), get a decent cup of coffee, and are feeding a hangover. read more

I think that if you're over the age of 21 and live in the south of the Mason Dixon line, then you either have been to the WH or you've at a minimum heard about it. It's a small greasy spoon chain restaurant, typically they are open 24 hours. This particular location is by my house. I can't lie. Cleanliness is not up to my usual restaurant standards, so I try not to touch anything, I sit at the counter and eat using plastic utensils that I bring with me. From the counter you have a birds-eye view of everything going on in the kitchen. Food is good, for what it is. I usually get the steak and eggs and cheesy hashbrowns. It's a good spot if you want something to eat other than IHOP, Taco Hell, Wawa, Royal Farms or Denny's between the hours of 11PM and 5AM. It's the WAFFLE HOUSE not Morton's Steakhouse. Don't go with high expectations of excellent service or amazing food. It's a greasy spoon. read more

The worst place to eat. The food was awful. The silverware was dirty, but what made it so bad was the server asked did we want need hot water for the silverware. When the food arrived the server's thumb on the side of the scramble eggs, the butter sat on top of the waffle which had stuff stuck on the bottom and the syrup container was all sticky with stuff all on it. First off, I like Waffle House. Just not this location. Food was decent, but this location during one visit had a bum sitting inside that wasn't even ordering anything, just muttering to himself and smelled like he hasn't seen a bar of soap in over a month. Outside on another day we were greeted by a homeless guy panhandling for money. I know WH is about good food fast, eat up, and head out, but I have seen cleaner tables at other locations. When I'm craving my WH fix, I avoid this location. read more
