    Chicken & Waffles

I've always wanted to try this place as I've read many good reviews. Their chicken and waffles should have been named as chicken strips and waffles. The maple syrup with chili surprisingly was good. Tried the chicken and waffles at other restaurants and they don't serve chicken strips. Service was pretty slow. Had to ask for a menu because after I was seated at the bar, they totally forgot about me . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty busy at 1pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a restaurant I won't go back to at King George Hub. Just not my preference.

We sat at the bar and the girl behind the bar was AMAZING. She was literally multitasking 1000 things at once but still super friendly. The menu is huge, but my fave was definitely the fried chicken benny--sooo good. Close second was the avocado toast (only $13, such a steal!). The Turkish breakfast wasn't really my thing, but honestly still worth a try. Even though the place was packed, the food came out really fast which was awesome.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty standard diner. Think typical Waffle House but slightly elevated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the avocado toast and breakfast potatoes. Good portion size on the toast--they load it up with tomatoes, goat cheese, and balsamic.

Waffle House Diner is an absolute hidden gem located right in King George Hub, Surrey -- the perfect brunch or breakfast spot for lazy mornings or when you're in need of a comfort meal! We ordered a delicious variety: Veggie croissant sandwich with crispy waffle fries Eggplant parm sandwich served with a fresh house salad full of seeds, feta, and cherry tomatoes Fried chicken bunny on a waffle with golden baked potatoes -- fun and filling! Their signature hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle was a must-try Plus, they made me a virgin raspberry mojito on request -- super refreshing and thoughtful service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner has the cutest decor, cozy seating, and adorable waffle and chicken plushies around the place that make it feel extra welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We stopped by for breakfast before the mad late morning rush without reservations and managed to get a table right away. This was on a weekday so I highly recommend reservations if you can plan ahead. After looking over the menu, I decided on Turkish eggs and a coffee. The Turkish eggs were delicious. I enjoyed the tangy yogurt with the slightly spicy eggs. The sourdough bread soaked up everything and completed the meal. Prices were reasonable for about $20 for my meal. Service was great. We had an older lady server. She managed to keep up with the pace of a busy restaurant and stopped by regularly to refill coffee.

Hidden gem!! Caesar - so delicious and they did not skimp on toppings Puzzy peach mimosa - tastes literally like a fuzzy peach! Turkish eggs - I don't know anywhere else that does Turkish eggs in the city. You'll have to ask for it extra dressed like I did and it'll be good! Otherwise, the photos on Google look too plainly dressed Fried chicken benny - chicken was so crunchy on the outside and perfectly seasoned Everything was great. The wait was 45 minutes for a weekend though. You'll want to go early!

The server was very nice and kind. She did mess up on our order and gave us a kids grilled cheese instead of the regular one. We ended up ordering the soup on the side which made our bill a little more expensive than anticipated, but other than that the food was good. I got the avacado & tomato eggs benny with the salad and they were both pretty good. Nothing crazy to be honest, but a good eggs benny. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I do enjoy the lighting in the restaurant, it makes it quite playful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came mother's day weekend on the Saturday around 8:45am which was perfect because around 9:30 it started to get really busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The rubbish Veggie burger that costs SEVENTEEN dollars. That's what it contains.

Requested the milk tea to have very little sweetness - it was really good for a "free" drink. After payment, I soon saw a sign that a bubble waffle could be added into any noodle soup for $2. They allowed to me add on a waffle even tho I had paid with credit card already, which was nice of them. The waffle was yummy. The laksa was just ok. The restaurant is situated in a strip mall complex with T&T with plenty of free parking. The place was about half full and finishing their dinners (it was a weekday night and after the dinner rush hour). Decor was contemporary, clean, and looked much newer than I thought, given the place has been in operation for a few years. We were seated right away and given the Groupon menu when the waitress heard we were planning on using it. It was a limited selection of items we were allowed to order, but a large enough to selection to have something for everyone. Boyfriend and I chose to the Fish Sui Mai, Fish Noodle Soup, and Lamb noodle Soup with spicy soup base. As part of the deal, we each also received either an Original or Green Tea Bubble Tea, and Original or Green Tea Waffle Dessert. The soup portions and bubble tea portions arrived first and were huge and delicious, meeting my spoiled expectations about the value of asian-style cafes. The egg waffles arrived with the sui mai appetizer; delicious, but the noodle portions and pearl teas already left us happily stuffed. I ended up taking my half of the egg waffle home for a late night snack. Overall, this place is a win. Even though there seemed to be only one girl working the entire restaurant, service was prompt. Seems like a solid place for a good-value date night or night out with family or friends.

(We visited about 4:30 on Saturday on Oct 25) They were great lattes, even some latte art! We went all-out on this visit. I had a Banella Brûlée, absolutely perfect. Everything is a bit sweet but that's what you're looking for when you order an ice cream waffle, right?! The Oreo was also a great choice. The tables are a bit small, but it's manageable. If it was full, I may be a bit claustrophobic but I think it's fine if there's some room. Overall, highly recommend for a latte or a sweet treat. They have some seasonal mini leige waffles if you're looking for something on the go!

I've only been to the original location on Robson years ago, so wasn't sure if the quality had stayed the same, but we thought it was worth trying. We ordered a Tiramisu and a Bresilienne to share between four people. It came out it in relatively short time. And wow, they were both even better than I remember. Their waffles are incredibly crisp and light, despite the amount of toppings on them. I don't know how they make them so they stay so resistant to going soggy. And despite the amount of whipped cream, ice cream and sauce on them, the waffle was always able to balance out the sweetness. Their waffles are just perfect balance of flavour and texture. Service was also quite impressive. Our server was very pleasant and attentive, and brought share plates with out being asked. Overall, a great dessert. I don't know why I haven't returned earlier.
