One star just for the ambiance. It was quiet and clean. We arrived around noon. After waiting for almost 2 hours for our food it was not worth the wait. My husband ordered the French Dip and onion rings. The meat tasted as if it was cooked a burnt grill. The au jus was not even edible. Tasted and smelled like burnt grease. The onion rings were super chewy. At the end he didn't eat it. I ordered the grilled chicken breast. It was a small maybe 3-4oz seasoned with just salt and pepper. It was cooked perfectly but I would've enjoyed it more if it had different seasonings. My 2 sides were crinkle fries that are just store bought and cucumber salad that had no flavor. It needed lime juice and salt. I didn't eat it all. read more

I was a bit put off by my visit. I arrived by myself at 5:30pm and there was a sign outside that they were closed for a private event as of 6pm. I went inside and asked if there was still time to place an order and was advised that I would have to order to-go. They were already busy serving the guests for the private event. I ended up placing a to-go order but could tell that it seemed to be an annoyance. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It took almost 45 minutes to get my order and then it hadn't been marked as paid, even though I paid when I placed the order. It seemed to be chaos and no one seemed to know what the other party was doing. The burger was good and the fries would have been nice with something to dip them in. I already felt as though I was in the way so I didn't feel comfortable asking for any condiments. My advice would be to go ahead and close earlier if having a private event. I would have rather been turned away than to have spent money on mediocre service and food. read more

Not that I expected a five star meal but did have higher expectations than what was delivered. Must have a former Army cook. Ordered what I thought would be a safe meal of chicken fried steak, Cole slaw and fries. The stake was so tough and flavorless, with white gravy that had no seasoning. Even the Cole Slaw was cabbage without the simplicity of basic flavors. This cafe has the traffic and location. They now need someone who knows how to bring the flavors out in the dishes they serve, And salt, pepper and a few herbs add no expense but add a taste level that is presently missing. We live nearby to this restaurant. It is doing a lot of business, because on the days tgey are ooen, their parking lot is usually busy. We hoped it would be a fun place for a coffee and pie, but we found them closed on our first try, and they had no pie on our second try. read more

Ok - take the *best* that roadside diners have to offer, double it, and slap some quirky surfer decor and humor on there, and nothing in your wildest dreams will come close to how good Patty's is. Exceptional service, a sizeable menu, food comes out fast, and holy CANNOLI is it fantastic! I can't even put it into words, we got something very basic like pancakes and a breakfast burrito, but I don't know what bonkers secret sauce, fairy dust, or outright demonic pacts were thrown on top, I just can't wrap my head around what it was that made some casual staples *so* much better than any others I'd tried! What a fantastic experience! We loved the breakfast food, eggs, pancakes, waffles, meats and home fries. Simply delicious. Our servers were outstanding and so personable with our group of kids 11-14. Attentive but not overbearing. Excellent customer service. Patty spent a few minutes visiting with us and was most gracious, too. This place was a local gem with a really cool music vibe. I really like the ambiance of those place. Lots of music themed decor and it was really clean. The food was all good. I had the quesadillas and I highly recommend those. Horrible service, was told to find a seat to 10 min to get menu. Food was horrible, grill cheese was burnt, chicken strips were greasy and fries were undercooked. So the dinner for the fish that was supposed to be battered, was breaded. It was catfish was not disclosed on the menu. No tartar sauce came with it or was offered. Burger was good. Cajun fries were good also. The French dip was the best. For a spot to eat after u come off the lake, I would say this place is an excellent choice. Parking lot is big enough for a truck hooked up to a boat. We visit lake ouachita often and after eating here this will now be a regular eating place for us! read more

Friendly fun service and delicious food! They had liver and onions on the menu which I haven't had since I was little girl so I was super excited to try it. I'm GF so they even did it for me on the grill without the flour and it just melted in my mouth. Seriously one of the best things I've eaten in a long time.
