Came in during covid. This Waffle House was safe and clean. Everyone is super nice that was working. One of the best Waffle Houses we have came too. Food was great, and service was best we have had in a long time. I can't give this Waffle House enough praise. Great with my son, and another baby that was sitting 2 booths away. Our server was named Jamie, and the cook was Jeremy, and the cleaner and other server was Scott. Ordered our food and was out within 5 minutes. Very interactive group and made breakfast very enjoyable. So come see them! (My son dug into the waffle fast so I could not take a picture).

Double Peanut butter/Chocolate Chip Waffle(s) with butta. This was after the 3 egg omelet..........

Your expectations will dictate your overall happiness with this establishment. Ordered a 3 egg Fiesta Omelet, with gravy smothered hashbrowns, and Cinn-raisn toast. Very good, fluffy eggs, and gravy had a nice flavor. Then ordered the double peanut butter/chocolate chip waffle(s). Again, very tasty for waffle house. This place does not pretend to be something it is not. Food is good, not great, and the prices are spot on for what you get.

Being from Las Vegas, I always get excited when I see a Waffle House. Our server, Nick, was very friendly and found it funny when he saw me taking pictures of the food. The food came out very quickly and was well made; bacon was crispy, eggs made exactly how I asked, love that they had raisin toast, and the pecan waffles were delicious. The whole meal for my Uncle and I cost less than $30 which I was very pleased with. Will definitely return next time I'm back in Liberty, MO.

Nice seats by the window to enjoy the neighborhood activity. The server was pleasant, attentive and helpful. I had a half order big biscuit. Eggs, has browns and a biscuit smothered in sausage gravy. The City Diner is outstanding! They definitely have their locals and regular customers, but we're also welcoming to us as first timers. Our waitress was jovial and courteous, and answered all of our silly questions. My wife had a half order of biscuits and gravy. I had a double cheeseburger, which was enormous. Those patties are no joke. I would get a single next time. Thankfully, it did not come with fries or tots as that would've been entirely too much food. I could hardly finish it, and I was ravenous. We want to come back and try other things here. It will not take a long time before we return. My wife loved her biscuits and gravy, and she is from the south. The biscuits were pillowy, soft and flaky. We have found our divvy diner that we love. The City Diner opened in 1937. One taste of their food and you'll know why they've been around almost 90 years.

We were seated upstairs at a very comfortable table with great scenery, and our server, Shannon, was outstanding--she had complete command of our lively group and took great care of us throughout the meal. The food and drinks hit every mark. I started with a traditional Bloody Mary (major bonus points for the crispy bacon garnish and salted rim). For my main, I ordered the KC Classic burnt ends sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was packed with flavor and had a great spicy kick, while the fries were so crispy and perfectly cooked that they didn't even need dipping sauce. The chicken and waffles, club sandwich, and Reuben ordered around the table looked just as impressive. The only minor drawback was a chilly draft blowing directly on our table--it almost felt like we were seated in a paranormal cold spot! Shannon took it in stride with great humor, rightfully pointing out that Union Station's vintage ventilation was the culprit rather than the restaurant. Luckily, the boozy coffee warmed us right back up. I'll definitely be back for seconds!

The options are endless (seriously, you'd have to stay all day to try everything), but that's the fun of it--trying a little of everything. The mini waffles were the highlight: fresh, soft, and fluffy with a cranberry sauce that was chef's kiss. Plus, the cutest little individual syrups. Crispy bacon, made-to-order eggs, and flavorful breakfast potatoes with peppers were all on point. They also go way beyond breakfast--fried chicken, mac and cheese, fresh fruit, salads, shrimp with cocktail sauce, and tons of desserts. And being inside Union Station makes it even better. It's beautiful, spacious, and open, with high ceilings that make it feel like you're not even in the Midwest. Come hungry--you'll want to try it all.

Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and our food came out quickly. I ordered a turkey club while my dad got one as well, and unfortunately we both had the same issue. The turkey was on the dry side, and it was sliced much thicker than I personally prefer. I tend to like a thinner deli-style sliced turkey, so it just wasn't my favorite sandwich. My mom ordered one of the salads though, and honestly it looked better than my sandwich. It was loaded with fresh toppings, and she said the ranch was excellent. If I come back, I'd probably skip the sandwich altogether and give one of the salads a try. Overall, I can definitely appreciate what they're going for. The prices are fantastic, honestly unheard of in present day, and that's the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. It's a true local spot, and I wouldn't mind giving it another chance to try something different from the menu.
