I went to Chili's for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had not been to this location for more than a year due to past experience with poor service and terrible food. As everything has, prices have gone up and what used to be three for $10 was now three for $15. I got the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas with endless chips and salsa and a soda. The chips and salsa were delicious. The quesadillas were actually full of chicken and enough that I took half home. I'm glad I tried them again. read more

Service: I noticed that many reviews mention the waiting time and the poor service. When we got there, yes, it took 10 min for somebody to show up to out table. But apparently there was a shift change and we fell through the cracks. I did notice the delay but was not a big deal. Derrick was our waiter. He explained the whole situation he apologized about the delay. 5 min after Jim, the manager also showed up to our table. He was also apologetic. He offered us a free dessert to make up for the delay. That was amazing. Not necesarilly the free dessert, but the service. Anybody can make a mistake but the way you react to them is what makes a difference. Yelp factor: Many bad reviews in the past about service. But that is the past. Went to dinner at Chili's tonight and they were very busy. We finally got seated 15 minutes later and our waitress was very attentive. We ordered the cheese sticks for an appetizer and it was brought out piping hot and they were huge we got 3 and they were the size of a deck of cards. We ordered the honey chipotle chicken strips served with corn and french fries and a spicy burger our food was brought out quickly and served hot. During our visit yesterday, I observed the drive thru order filler filling orders with her bare hands. Reaching in and out of the French fry pan filling someone's to go order. When I asked our waiter if this was standard practice he said no. He reported to management and stated this waitress has been previously spoken to about this issue. My question for management would be why she wasn't immediately sent home/ fired? They discarded the pan of fries and made a fresh one. Came in during Veteran's Day at night, there were no line, got seated right away and service was prompt and polite. Staff was attentive. Wanted to get chili and salad but they stopped serving chili since last year (hmmmm what a way to live up to the name lol). Anyways ended up getting a southwest chicken soup with house salad. We have lived in liberty for nearly 20 years and have been coming to this restaurant for about 15 of those years. This was by far the worst experience to date. Our server was clearly overwhelmed with the 5 tables he had, two of which were bigger parties. To start off, it took about 10 minutes for our server to greet us for drinks. (I am a server at Buffalo Wild Wings, we are required to greet our tables within 45 seconds...so maybe my expectations were a little too high, but I haven't had to wait more than 3 or 4 minutes to be greeted at this location before) We were starving so we went ahead and put in our drinks , appetizers, and food right from the start. Again, maybe it was a lot of information at once but we didn't think it would be too hard...actually it's not. We didn't get our drinks and chips & salsa for another 25 minutes. (We had 2 margaritas and 3 waters) Our triple dipper came out with our main meals and incorrect. (we were literally missing the egg rolls so our server said he would check the order again and get them out to us as soon as possible.) My 6oz sirloin was overcooked and my half order of texas cheese fries were so overcooked the cheese was hard, crunchy, and honestly just not edible. My aunt needed lemons with her tea and didn't get them until the 4th time she asked, and we didn't get refills at all. She also had to ask the young hostess for napkins because we had none. We had to place 2 togo orders so we decided to do so halfway through our meal given the kitchen was already backed up. When it came time for the check our server split the check wrong, adding things to my aunts check that weren't hers. She explained to him that it was incorrect, he again, said he would figure it out and "i gotcha" (this was his favorite thing to say when in fact, he did NOT have us.) After about 10 minutes he came back to argue with my aunt saying that the ticket is correct and she told him that she will write down exactly what she had and what do you know, she ended up being correct after all. I finally spoke up and asked another hostess for a manager, when she came over I told her that the fries were awful, the service was terrible and that I don't expect a refund but i wanted to let her know how the restaurant has been running tonight. She did end up taking off my meal and fries, but for a total of $85 plus tip this service and food was beyond ridiculous and not worth it whatsoever. Oh, then i finally got my egg rolls. read more

It's been about 15 years since I set foot in a Chili's. Ever since they served me a raw buffalo chicken sandwich that gave me food poisoning and offered me a coupon for a free desert on my next visit as compensation. That was a different town, and a different restaurant, but things haven't improved much. We ordered and only made a couple modifications, asking for an extra side of BBQ sauce and some guacamole for our nachos. Neither came out. We told the waitress and she just left to start working the bar area. We told a manager in the kitchen and didn't hear anything for another 10 minutes. I was nearly ready to walk into the kitchen myself when the manager came out with the sauce & guacamole. By then we had 3 chips left on the nachos and had eaten most of the sandwich the BBQ sauce was for. Service was just terrible. I couldn't check-in to this place on my phone because I was too far. What I meant by too far was the fact that it pointed to a location way down Route 152 when there's no Chili's at that particular location. Just to clarify about this location... it was next to Burger King and across from Steak N Shake. I can't remember the name of the street since I'm still new to the area (maybe NE Barry Road? N Church Road?). I would've corrected this address; however, the receipt only said "Liberty, MO" on it and that wasn't helpful. I'm almost positive that it wasn't in Liberty, MO... Anyways, I came here around 6pm after work and it was pretty empty. I was greeted by the hostess? (those people who greet and seat people) and she was really nice. I couldn't decide on a booth or a table initially but decided on the booth. lol The waitress came over and I ordered the Shiner Bock BBQ Burger ($7.79). I just wanted something simple. My food came after a few minutes and it was pretty good. I finished it pretty quick. My waitress was friendly and checked on me a couple of times. Friday night visit. Seated and enjoyed Tammy as server--cheerful, helpful, and listened well. Took order, kept drinks topped off, asked if we'd like refills on appetizer. Food came, steak was wrong steak, recognized it but had already set food on table, asked to be patient and returned to kitchen with correct food. We set other food aside as she stated she'd be right back. Manager arrived at table no less than 2 minutes after correct food at table. Female, never introduced herself, never explained she was the manager, huffed, rolled eyes at me, (it wasn't my plate that was incorrect), and then demanded incorrect plate and walked off without an explanation or discussion. The manager and her choices are why we won't return. It was a mistake and possibly a costly one for the restaurant but I can assure you the type of treatment offered by manager was one I will not forget. While I'm all for holding people responsible for their choices, there is room for humans to make a mistake. Also, her ire was misplaced on customers who had no idea what was going on and would have liked to have enjoyed our meal without the manager drama, disrespect of another human, and the process of elevating the experience rather than escalating the problem. We waited at the table for another 5 minutes before the server showed up as well. Right off the bat got a bad vibe from her. She wasn't very friendly or smiley and I like my servers to smile! As for the food and drinks though here we go!! We ordered the jack and Lemonade drink they have, we got two! They were amazing. We also got some cool blue drink that was tasty as well! We started off with some delicious cheese fries topped with green onion, bacon and spicy jalepenos with a side of fantastic home-made ranch! Then for the main course I got the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. It was full of flavors! Highly recommend if you like Cajun spice! We also got the honey bbq chicken Chrysler's over a tasty and sweet waffle. Worst customer service experience with any restaurant, ever. I had a poor experience and while attempting to report that to a manager, she got very rude, elevated her voice, and interrupted me. I told her I would be reporting my experience and asked for her name, and she said "go ahead" and when I asked for her name, she refused and hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager, and the young lady said "which one?" I said the highest ranking one. She refused. Said that person was busy and would call me back. I asked for that person's name and she said she didn't know. When I asked her to clarify, she too hung up on me. I've never seen any people in the service industry so blatantly thumb their nose at customer service, and seemingly don't care at Chili's. Okay last night's meal was so good I have to update my Yelp review. Every time I go to Chilis the only thing I ever order is the loaded boneless wings. Sometimes I get it and there's hardly any queso cheese and it's okay but last night there was actually more cheese than I could use! It was so delicious that I had to talk to the waiter and ask who the cook was but he said it was a team effort. Chili's, take note this is how loaded boneless wings is supposed to look. Plenty of cheese and plenty of chicken and then more cheese. This is a 10 out of 10 in my book and if it was made like this every time I would be eating here way more often. So just go next door to OTB and get some chips that are nice and fresh and not thin that it breaks when you dip it in queso!! The salsa is made fresh everyday too!
