    Eggs and sausage with potatoes

First time trying this place as I'm visiting family here in Kansas City. Server was nice and welcoming. I had placed an order online for pickup and food was ready at the exact time given. Inside was well organized and a friendly environment. Food was great and big portions. Biscuits and gravy was really good, their Alamo burrito was huge lol 2 hands needed for sure. But very tasty. I even got a side of eggs and sausage for my pup Jack. Would recommend!

Favorite breakfast spot! This is our go to breakfast spot. We always have fast service and the best food. Pumpkin pancakes are back and AMAZING!! The NE Antioch location is our favorite. Large open space and patio is an option.

Good home style food. My favorite item is the Loaded sticky biscuit. You can add toppings but the basic loaded has more than enough for me. Staff are friendly and attentive. I like the perimeter seating half booth half table great lighting.. Will definitely go again.

    Sausage and egg combo

Came here for a weekend breakfast. Had to wait about 20 min for a table for 7 of us. The wait staff was kind and accommodating when our larger group was taken down to a smaller size and got us seated. We ordered a sausage & eggs plate with toast, ranch hand scrambowl, and french toast platters. Initially we received our food fast and efficiently. Our waitress was friendly and helpful when ordering. Overall the food was good although the eggs for the sausage egg combo were overcooked and brown. The sausage wasn't cooked thoroughly and was pink inside. Ranch hand scrambowl was excellent and the French toast platters were good as well. Once everyone got our food however, no one checked in with us. We waited around 15 minutes and had to flag down someone to ask for our waitress to give refills and boxes. We waited almost an additional 15 minutes for the check and even longer for someone to grab our check. I don't know what happened but the lack of service towards the end of the meal brought down our experience and rating. Waiting for 40+ minutes to finish our meal and be able to pay our bill is unacceptable. The fact that we had to flag down people multiple times just to pay and had a random person come help us with our tab was disappointing.

Today was our wedding anniversary, so I asked my wife if she wanted to go out for breakfast; something we rarely do. I live walking distance from Big Biscuit, but have only been 3 times since they opened 7+ years ago. I was pondering why that is and realized why when I received my bill - $48 total with tax and tip, for a coffee, an iced coffee, 2 pancakes and the Cowboy Benedict. Other than the chicken fillet, there isn't a lot of high cost food items involved here, that's quite the mark-up! The food was plentiful and adequate in taste, just not in value. Our server Cole was pleasant and efficient and the place is clean. I'm not saying that I won't be back, but I'll probably consider driving a ways further for future breakfast outings.

Fourth day of our KC adventure, Really fun restaurant (so we live in Oregon where nice is a thing we do) and this place was really up there on the nice scale. The niceness moved to the server, completely transfixed with us(we're an older couple who wear purple and rainbow) The food was good, and the biscuits Star. Worth you checking it out

Four years between visits and it was just as good second time around! It all looked good, but I enjoyed the Yard Bird so much last time that I had it again. Also had another Bonut as well, but this time had it with the strawberries. Personally, I like the original better, but the strawberries were good to try. Highly recommend!

This place has built a loyal following for its creative biscuit sandwiches, and now I understand why. We arrived around 11 a.m., and ordering was quick and easy. I went with The Charlie Hustle featuring Nashville Hot Chicken, while my wife ordered The Wonder with a fried chicken filet. Our to-go order was ready in less than 10 minutes. I like spicy food, but not the kind that leaves you reaching for a gallon of milk. When the cashier described the Nashville Hot Chicken as "mild hot," he nailed it. Just enough heat to add flavor without overpowering the sandwich. The star of the meal was the chicken itself. The filet was huge, perfectly cooked, and incredibly juicy. Combined with the creamy coleslaw, dill pickles, and BD Sauce, it made for one outstanding sandwich. I also have to mention the hash brown coins. I'd never had them before, and they were crispy, flavorful, and the perfect side. At around $14 for the sandwich, I thought it was money well spent. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

Hayes is a small burger spot with very little seating inside and NO DRIVE THRU, which I find charming. It harkens back to the 50s when it was first opened and still has a neighborhood charm. But the whole visit here was about the burger, and the food is where the visit fell apart. A double cheeseburger is INCREDIBLY small. Granted, it's only $4, but you would have to spend 3 times that to get a normal size burger from anywhere else, which makes it more expensive than it looks. They also charge an additional $4 if you want bacon on the burger, which is insane. And once I ate the burger and wasn't that satisfied with the taste or the fries, I decided that I don't see myself ever visiting here again. The staff was super friendly, but the food just didn't stack up to what I hoped for. You can see more of our experience on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/PQLoDu8-DYs

This involved food for everyone but me since I arrived late and had already started my pre-party elsewhere - and why kill a good buzz!?
