They put me at my own little table tucked away, and the entire staff was so sweet and welcoming that it helped the whole place feel cozy, which I really appreciate in a breakfast spot. The food tasted homemade and comforting, not like a huge chain trying to rush you out the door. And talk about pancakes? Giant pancakes with actual fruit in them, plus sugar free syrup as an option? The Biscuit is a regular spot for us, but we are sitting inside on a beautiful day because the music on the outdoor patio is obnoxiously loud. We could hear the music as soon as we got out of our car, and we are not parked close. We asked at the hostess stand and we were told "we've been asking corporate to turn it down for years." I was rather shocked when my tab came to $28, before tip,for one person!!! That's 2 eggs, 1 biscuit and gravy, 3 pieces of bacon. Glass of juice. The server did try to bring down the price down, but couldn't. I paid and stopped to talk to the manager she said "corporate makes the prices, MAAM", in a snotty tone. I do like spicy foods, but the chorizo in this meal seemed a bit mild- but there was hot sauce to help take it up a bit. Good coffee, well put together. Came here for a weekend breakfast. Had to wait about 20 min for a table for 7 of us. The wait staff was kind and accommodating when our larger group was taken down to a smaller size and got us seated. We ordered a sausage & eggs plate with toast, ranch hand scrambowl, and french toast platters. Initially we received our food fast and efficiently. Our waitress was friendly and helpful when ordering. Overall the food was good although the eggs for the sausage egg combo were overcooked and brown. The sausage wasn't cooked thoroughly and was pink inside. Ranch hand scrambowl was excellent and the French toast platters were good as well. Once everyone got our food however, no one checked in with us. We waited around 15 minutes and had to flag down someone to ask for our waitress to give refills and boxes. We waited almost an additional 15 minutes for the check and even longer for someone to grab our check. I don't know what happened but the lack of service towards the end of the meal brought down our experience and rating. Waiting for 40+ minutes to finish our meal and be able to pay our bill is unacceptable. The fact that we had to flag down people multiple times just to pay and had a random person come help us with our tab was disappointing. read more

I saw this place and went in, I was seated immediately, the service was absolutely great, and the kitchen was quick with perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, and toast, all served piping hot. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the orange juice. It was just a little off, but I typically drink fresh squeezed orange juice, so I get it. Today was our wedding anniversary, so I asked my wife if she wanted to go out for breakfast; something we rarely do. I live walking distance from Big Biscuit, but have only been 3 times since they opened 7+ years ago. I was pondering why that is and realized why when I received my bill - $48 total with tax and tip, for a coffee, an iced coffee, 2 pancakes and the Cowboy Benedict. Other than the chicken fillet, there isn't a lot of high cost food items involved here, that's quite the mark-up! The food was plentiful and adequate in taste, just not in value. Our server Cole was pleasant and efficient and the place is clean. I'm not saying that I won't be back, but I'll probably consider driving a ways further for future breakfast outings. read more

The gravy lacked flavor and had very minimal meat in it. The biscuit was OK but not a great texture which for me makes or breaks it. The eggs were very good, and the rest of my plate again just ok. The best part of my meal was the cinnamon roll pancake--I asked for extra cream cheese icing and this was a great addition! The top of the pancake was a little crispy with melted icing poured on the pancake--amazing flavor and texture! I would recommend having this as a table app or dessert as it was a lot but VERY good! What a cute little place. We arrived on a Sunday about ten and we got seated right away. Drink order was taken shortly thereafter and when the drinks got dropped off our order was taken. (if you order coffee they bring you a carafe so you can refill at your leisure) I ordered traditional eggs, bacon, potatoes with a side of dry white toast. My wife essentially got the same thing. We also got a 1/4 order of the biscuits and gravy just to give it a try. That's always a good measure on how good the food is, in my opinion. Besides, the place is called The Big Biscuit. Again, quick service and the food was on the table shortly thereafter. B&G were nice. Nothing I'd want to call my mother about on the way home but almost worth the $6. Eggs (over medium) were cooked perfectly, the bacon was nice (not that stringy stuff you get in some places nor over cooked), and the potatoes were...well....potatoes. Unfortunately the toast was buttered but when it was brought to the server's attention right away she apologized, took responsibility, and within two minutes I had dry, white toast on the table.
