I'll start off by saying I love Waffle House. I have loved their food since I was a kid. This time was no different. What set this visit apart from the hundreds of other visits was the staff. They were so amazing. They worked well with each other and kept joking and laughing while doing it. This made the atmosphere so much more pleasant and enjoyable. Can't go wrong with a delicious grilled chicken sandwich from Waffle House! It's been years since we've been, but my youngest couldn't wait to go. The service was great for being somewhat busy. I love waffle house so much. It's one of my favorite breakfast spots to go to. This location the staff is pretty friendly and make you feel at home. Even when it is busy they keep it moving. We waited for maybe 5 minutes before we were sat at a booth. Ms. Mary was so attentive and had great energy. Took care of us right away. I always order an orange juice, hashbrowns-covered and smothered, and a pecan waffle. She brought the juice out quickly and the hasbrowns came soon after. She didn't want my hashbrowns to get cold so brought them first. They were packed so my waffle took a bit longer than normal but she made sure to reassure me that it was coming out. Strange, could've sworn I wrote a review for this location some time ago, with photos too.. Hmmm. I say this because when I first came here maybe two years ago, the restaurant wasn't kept well, not very clean and the men's room was horrid. All this while the location is fairly new, built within the last ten years I'd say. Since that time someone must've complained to corporate about the store, today its clean and maintained. Service with a bigger smile. Food is the same old shit, but definitely there is a change in the commitment and service, its A LOT better. You did read that right.. So I'm up early on a Sunday morning...EARLY. I decide to beat the crowd to Waffle House and enjoy some breakfast. So I drive to the one I always pass on Hwy 64. Four people working. All smiles. I walk up to the door at 6am....locked. They just look at me and my wife and keep doing their own thing. OPEN 24 HOURS. Yeah, I just guess not in a row! No sign on the door explaining why the door was locked. Just four idiots earning a paycheck to do nothing. NOT the case with the location on Canada Rd. They were all working hard and the door was unlocked! Service rocked, our waitress (Tammy) was on it. When we told them what happened, they let us know that they get a lot of their customers from the Hwy64 location because of the "locked door" situation. Maybe Waffle House' regional manager should think about sending those four to unemployment. Hell, they'd probably be just as happy with that. Since they aren't working anyway. It was good to, at least, start the day off with that issue being remedied by the staff at the Canada Rd. location. Glad they know how to do their job and do it right. read more

Do not go on Sundays ... they are short staff and the employees seem frustrated. The cooks are loud and chit chat while working . My waffle was "doughy" and my bacon and cheese sandwich was cooked inconsistently .. the bacon was burnt , but the cheese was barely melted and the toast was barely toasted . I dined in and had to request for the server to clean the table . I had to ask for a water three times . I attempted to place a to go order , but was told they were backed up with to go orders and couldn't take mine . I will not revisit this location in the future . read more

Omg- hands down best diner experience we've ever had! My brother and I are driving from New York to Texas and happened to stop at this particular Waffle House, and it could not have been a happier accident. Our server Bethany was a beautiful little angel, and Mary gave us respectful and comedic entertainment in the form of hilarious, witty banter. Her friend PB was also a Gem! The manager clearly did a great job of making sure all of the employees are able to enjoy themselves while at work, which made them all really fun to be around. I consider this particular Waffle House as my forever Waffle Home. Our breakfast was delicious, the experience overall is a breath of fresh air if you're on a road trip... make a point to hit this Waffle Home over all of the other waffle houses. read more

Right off the highway, this Waffle House is easy to access and afterwards, easy to get back onto the Interstate. I stopped by this morning just before dawn and found the place devoid of customers, which is usually a clue that the place is a dump. However, I was warmly greeted by the staff who were hard at work doing their prep stuff. Beverly (a great waitress) brought me coffee and then took my order, calling it out loudly to the cook. The eggs were perfect, as was the waffle. Of course! On the minus side, it seemed like there was a massive amount of butter on the toast that I had to scrape off, the sausages were a little too well done as were the hash browns (covered and diced). That said, it was still delicious and I was back on the road about 25 minutes after walking into the place. I took a cup of coffee to go as well. The men's room was clean, though not sparkling. A little better than I expected, there was no smell and it was stocked appropriately. The door lock worked well, which I know because another gentlemen tried to open it. Oops. No smokiness, which was very nice. I don't know the restaurant smoking laws for Tennessee and I didn't notice any signs indicating smoking sections or anything like that. If you stop by this Waffle House, ask for Beverly. She's a peach! read more

As soon as we opened the door the cook (manager?) said there was an hour wait time. There was only like 6 people in the place when we looked inside. So possibly 8 people total with 2 in the restroom. As we were leaving a person pulls up and I tell him about the long wait time. Well, the person was an employee of Waffle House and said that one hour seemed kinda long with only 6, possibly 8 people waiting. We walked back and the same person said there was an hour wait. So we left to go to the other Waffle House (different review for that place) a couple miles away. About 30-40 minutes later we drove by and there wasn't anybody inside. We could have waited that long, as we were staying in the hotel right beside Waffle House. read more

We stopped in for a late night breakfast during our drive from Texas to Virginia. The staff was kind and prompt -- including a quick waffle replacement after my 8yo managed to knock his whole plate into his lap -- and the food was fantastic. Went there many times and recently I seen two roaches one on one day dead and one that ran across table on another day so I swapped to hwy 64.I called manager and made him aware but they didn't want to comp or do anything I didn't eat the food. read more

All of the servers were extremely nice. The only problem i encountered was the older white guy cooking the food. He was extremely rude to not only customers but his fellow employees. I have been to this location twice this week, and he has been very rude to customers and fellow employees both times. read more

24March2016 around 930-10pm Had young very polite guys working. Our waiter also made our food and he put a lot of care into making it. I had the texas philly cheesteak with bacon. The onions were actually sauteed perfectly so I didnt have to pick them off. Had scattered hash browns and they were actually cooked and browned all the way through. Now the other half had the all star breakfast scrambled eggs, eggs were fluffy and good, oh and bacon on both were cooked just right instead of being so cooked that it like turns to dust when you pick them up also I think they have now got a better quality bacon so kuddos to this waffle house in that. now the waffle, our server left it on the iron for the right amount of time. It was actually cooked all the way through and not over cooked.. I wish I would of got our servers name. None of them had name tags or maybe I just over looked them. Our server and the guys working were great. Very nice young men. Our server def made sure we were taken care of while we were there. I normally would never leave this extinsive of a review on a waffle house but the guys working def deserve their employers know they were doing such a good job. We also ate there like a weak or so ago and that was def not the greatest experience 2 girls and I want to say two guys were working. Our food then was mediocre at best stuff wasnt fully cooked or over cooked. Waffle undercooked the rest over cooked, bacon was decent only cause it seems to be better brand. There was drama also with one of the girls working. Cops actauuly came out. So lets say it was surprising we even went back but glad we did since we ended up with these young guys working. If it wasnt for them I would of either left a review of 1 star or no review at all, but the young men def redeemed the place for me Oh one last thing we also got a chilli to go. My other half said it was decent. So on those cold nights when you are looking for chilli and you dont want Wendy's try waffle house. I live a half mile from this location. I have been during the day and in the wee hours of the morning. Love their omelets and hash browns. I always get breakfast no matter what time of day I go. Service is always excellent and I tend to over tip. It's clean they get your orders out fast and there is nothing better for a hangover!!! read more
