If you want to have a great breakfast for a good price, Waffle House is always a great choice. Like other Waffle House experiences, this one was also a great one. No wait to get a table.... heck most i ever waited in one was like 10 minutes. Super friendly waitress came and took us to my family to our table and efficiently took our order. Those short order cooks had our food out in no time! My brother had the sausage, egg and cheese hash-brown bowl. I had some scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and grits. Gotta say, any place that makes a good bowl of grits gets an extra star in my book! My mother had over easy eggs with sausage, and toast. We all had waffles... i mean its in the name! Waffle house waffles are yum!!!! Funny side story i was taking pictures of my food and this was one of the few times that i was asked questions about by the waitress... ended up chatting about yelp and then moving from Miami to here. I travel for my job and the waffle House is pretty much the only restaurant that serves breakfast at 5 as m, but this location doesn't serve breakfast except for to go orders. Nothing on their website does it state that. If I wanted to sit in my car and eat my breakfast I would go to McDonald's. Wasted my time again trying to enjoy breakfast before another busy crazy day. My friends and family are always amazed at how fast I can cook so it's pretty impressive when you see someone else able to hustle faster than you when cooking breakfast. This guy had the timing down to a science. All five plates of food came out at the same time 10 min after we ordered and were cooked to perfection. The hash browns "all ways" is a must try. It was smothered with all of the toppings and tasted amazing. My $2 cheeseburger was a steal and was juicy, not greasy with fresh tomato and lettuce. My five yo loved her grilled cheese on thick slices of bread. They don't use that fake butter that makes you have the runs. The two egg breakfast was fantastic with crispy/chewy bacon and crispy hash browns. Service was so friendly. There were only two workers and they had a great rhythm. read more

Service was nice, which if we were going off of that, definite five stars. They checked on us, refilled, and even had nice conversation for us travelers. The food however is the downfall however. The bacon seemed to be too dry yet overly greasy toward the corners. Almost as if it had freezer burn and yuck! The sausage and gravy were ok, nice texture. The biscuit could've been toasted a little. Just cold biscuit with a hot gravy is kinda nasty. Pork chop was good, just a bit bland, but there were seasonings at the table. Thank goodness for that definitely. Eggs were subpar, I don't know if the grease from the cooker wasn't cleaned or not, but you could taste previous food that was cooked, on the eggs. I know it's not a five star restaurant, but over easy eggs should not taste like anything other than over easy eggs. With all the down with the food, here's an up! Usually I go to Waffle House everyday and I am greeted with a friendly atmosphere as most of the people know me. Today I walked in and I was greeted an immature snarky rude little turd who asked me if I had a to go order and I told him no that I called six times and no one answered and he says "Well I have people in house so your going to have to wait at least twenty to thirty minutes before I can even take your order". I told him that my order was super easy and his reply was "That's not my problem in house people are priority and you can wait your turn" by this time I'm livid. This rude little snot has walked around me for 25 minutes like I am not even here. I really wish we were allowed to post negative stars. I'm staying at the red carpet inn and have come here several times most of the time there's only a few customers and even when there slow the service in weak (they are friendly though) I have to wait a while sometimes for them to take my order, refills is a problem half the time and and if I need extra things it takes a while to get it The food comes out quickly witch I like and despite they weak waiting skills they staff is friendly greeting you as soon as you walk in and most of the time have a good attitude read more

We went to this Waffle House on a Saturday morning. We were able to get a table right away. This was a nice surprise (the only nice surprise of our whole experience) After a couple of minutes, our waitress came to take our drink order. I ask for coffee with extra cream. She brought two creams with the coffee, so I ask for more cream. She brought the extra cream, but I had to wait for a good 5 minutes. I would have expected that if the place was busy, but that was not the case. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet, grits, and toast. My friend only ordered the hashbrowns. After about five minutes, his hashbrowns and my girts arrived. The waitress explained they were having problems with the omelet machine, but it would arrive shortly. So I ate my grits (which were good by the way) and waited on my omelet. After a couple of minutes, the omelet arrived. Unfortunately, the omelet was not done. And keep in mind, I haven't mentioned the toast. So, the only thing I got out of my breakfast was a bowl of grits. The waitress never even came back over to check on us. I hunted her down to ask about the toast and she said it will be up soon. It never came. If you go hungry, you might leave feeling unsatisfied. read more

Well to start off, the food was good. That's not too hard considering it's Waffle House. It was a bit busy. The atmosphere and service was by far the WORST experience I have ever had at any restaurant. As soon as we sat down I immediately regretted my decision to eat there. The waitresses were very rude and looked dirty. Our waitress came up to us about 10 minutes after we sat and waited and asked what we wanted to eat. She then asked us to move where we were sitting not once but two times to accommodate for an old regular couple who always sat there. We moved over and made space for the old couple and they refused to sit next to us and wanted us to leave the general area. They weren't pleased with where we moved so the lady sat behind us for a solid 10 minutes waiting for us to leave. It took her forever to even get us our sodas. It was unreal how bad the service was. My family and I walked into the business and it was really cold, we sat by a window, and the a/c was blowing on us and made us colder, so when the waitress came over,we said we wanted to move, were too cold, they were not that busy, she said ok. went to another table, I let the young black lady know we didnt move because of her, the other waitress, a young white girl, was a little snotty, I think they thought we were being racist. We recieved our food and the bacon and hashbrowns were very burnt, very little toppings on hashbrowns, I mentioned something and she said "thats the way we cook it" We ate our meal, I waited the whole time for a coffee refill, never got it. So I raised my hands to get her attention, she says in attitude, I was on my way, after that I said forget it, said I do not need any attitude, she said if you think I gave you attitude, just wait, I will give you attitude. We left, even after all this I left her a tip. I have photograph of my wifes meal. We spent $36.17 with tip, I just want my money back, never going to a waffle house again, I have eaten at them off and on all around country, this has to be the worst experience ever. I am a truck driver and I have been in some bad establishments, this was the worst. Your newly renovated Waffle House is awesome looking and pleasant to visit. I have been there numerous times since it re-opened. I have but one complaint. When you leave there you (SMELL) like you have been the grill cook on a 12 hour shift. Your clothes and your hair smells aweful also my leather purse smelled for a couple of days. i took a shower and washed my clothes and jacket when i got home. And it was the same each time i went there to eat. You must have an exhaust problem or something. What turns out to be a bad experience is unfortunate as i feel the facility, the help, and the food was a good experience. I have been to many Waffle Houses and never walked out smelling like the new facility in Lima,Ohio. Hope you get it fixed im sure it will help your customer attendance. read more
