My friends and family are always amazed at how fast I can cook so it's pretty impressive when you see someone else able to hustle faster than you when cooking breakfast. This guy had the timing down to a science. All five plates of food came out at the same time 10 min after we ordered and were cooked to perfection. The hash browns "all ways" is a must try. It was smothered with all of the toppings and tasted amazing. My $2 cheeseburger was a steal and was juicy, not greasy with fresh tomato and lettuce. My five yo loved her grilled cheese on thick slices of bread. They don't use that fake butter that makes you have the runs. The two egg breakfast was fantastic with crispy/chewy bacon and crispy hash browns. Service was so friendly. There were only two workers and they had a great rhythm.

Service was nice, which if we were going off of that, definite five stars. They checked on us, refilled, and even had nice conversation for us travelers. The food however is the downfall however. The bacon seemed to be too dry yet overly greasy toward the corners. Almost as if it had freezer burn and yuck! The sausage and gravy were ok, nice texture. The biscuit could've been toasted a little. Just cold biscuit with a hot gravy is kinda nasty. Pork chop was good, just a bit bland, but there were seasonings at the table. Thank goodness for that definitely. Eggs were subpar, I don't know if the grease from the cooker wasn't cleaned or not, but you could taste previous food that was cooked, on the eggs. I know it's not a five star restaurant, but over easy eggs should not taste like anything other than over easy eggs. With all the down with the food, here's an up! The waffle was very good.

Good food overall! From out of state so was worth stopping in for a bite! Awesome Grits, could have crisped up the hash browns a little more, and make the sunny side up eggs a little more done. Had some running whites on it. However, definitely would come back and definitely would recommend others to stop by!

The food is still good but don't expect an after hours snack in house on the weekends.

This is the best location near me. My wife and I eat here 2 to 4 times a month. The service and the food are top notch!

The best thing about this Waffle House is that it may just be the only restaurant in town that's open on Christmas night.

A friend of mine recommended that I should try The Grind since he knows I am really into coffees, breakfasts and brunch. The morning I came to The Grind, was still frigid even though it was supposed to be spring. I was looking forward to a good cup of coffee and a good breakfast to warm my up. I brought my brother along because, I needed help carrying stuff for the shopping trip. There was no wait even though the place was beginning to fill up to capacity. We sat down and ordered our drinks. One thing I didn't like from the get go was that this place is almost siloed into a coffee shop and a cafe. There is an area in the front where people who want to get coffee to go can order, which is smart and efficient. But, when you sit down, you do not get a coffee menu along with your food menu. The coffee menu is located in the front which would either require you to get up to see what they have or just make a random order. We chose the latter and just asked for two white chocolate mochas. My brother ordered a breakfast skillet, while I ordered the Grind special. I added pictures of the menu to the review so anyone unfamiliar with these items can look them up. We waited quite a long time for the food, think it was about 30 minutes. You could tell they were understaffed. Eventually we got our food. My brother liked the skillet, i mostly liked my meal. The breakfast potatoes were bland and lacked any seasoning. The rest of my meal was good though. One thing we both did not like were the coffees. Usually when I go to a cafe they present the coffee to you in a certain way. They have some design made with foam on the coffee, not here. The coffee also was ok. The taste didn't wow me. Maybe the time we came it was just off because of how many people were in here. Still overall, I did enjoy my meal here.

It's open, there is a bar to your right as you enter and lots of seating to your right and front. Can eat at bar. We sat, mimosas and bloodies available. Or for that matter- whatever you can think of. They have scotch eggs swimming in a bowl of gravy... yes gravy... and it was delicious. Definitely a Mexican "flair" with lots of black beans, sauces, etc. I stuck with a Belt sandwich - nice and crispy bread with bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato. Friendly service and lots of value! Glad we found this spot since we are headed to Ohio a few times a year.

My friend ordered prime rib medium rare. The rib was served Medium to Medium well. Shanna took it away & brought a Médium rare one, which was much better. I almost forgot about the Horrible house salads she served us. She returned them & brought us the Cole slaw & Augratin potatoes. The mistakes were corrected, but totally changed our view of the Dark Horse. I hope improvements will be made!

I love the no-frills vibe of the venue, staff and customers. My first impression? Dark! I arrived at noon:30 because a passing acquaintance mentioned Lombardo's having the best BPTS. The staff and regulars numbered five and were bantering about nothing at high decibel. I sat at the bar and grabbed a menu. It is a perfectly useful, simple, no-frills list of food and prices. The bartender/waitress was a tad slow to engage this newcomer, but finally got around to taking my order and delivering a glass of water. My second impression? Still dark. The BPTS arrived after the usual wait and was hot from the fryer. It comes with nothing, but the usual garnishes are available for an up-charge that seems a tad rich. $1 for a slice of winter tomato? Pass. $1 for a slice of cheese? Pass. $1 for a slice of onion? Pass. The bun was fresh and the pickle spear was beginning to trend from crisp and crunchy towards a hint of limp. I enjoyed the porky goodness and flashbacks to my childhood BPTS memories. Will I return? Probably. I hope that the kitchen will do breakfast-for-lunch. I am also curious about their hamburger ... $3.50, but the double hamburger is more than 2x the regular burger. What's with that?
