This is the first Waffle House I've ever stepped foot in. I've heard many things about this restaurant chain and I've had an extremely positive experience. Amber served our table and was very attentive and patient with our group. Food was served pretty fast in my standards and tables felt and looked clean. I would come back to this establishment!

All-star special eggs over medium sub hash (smothered, covered, and peppered) instead of grits

So good all the way around great service great food! Always has been, and always will be wonderful! The epitome of perfection and greatness! The atmosphere is orgasmic, by atmosphere I mean foooood!

Ham. Who knew it could be so overcooked?

Dirty! I know it's a WH but never been to one this disgusting. Dirt, crumbs, dust everywhere. Up, down in corners. Also, the food did not taste right like the griddle had not been cleaned office sometime. Coffee super bitter. Definitely will not be back to this location.

Waffle House just isn't for you if you are used to high end, upscale dining. If you don't mind watching the very real interactions of the wait and cook staff, this is your place. What you see is what you get. Most of the staff here are extremely friendly and don't mind having a chat with you when you sit at the bar. There are a couple of waitress that don't talk much, but you can't fault anyone for their personality. There is nothing to hide here:). Food is good and fresh. You won't see a bin of already cooked bacon and sausage on the grill, it's all cooked to order. The eggs are real, nothing from the bag as far as I could see. They have a juke box which is a move touch.

Waffles were raw!!! We got one item at a time so our bacon was cold when the eggs arrived etc. hubby ordered hash browns with all the trimmings they came with a square piece of cheese. Afterward we were told the manager didn't pull the (chunks) ham, no chili, and no mushroom!!! Why weren't we told this before??? And what they called gravy was chunky. I am from the south and our gravy isn't chunky unless it has sausage in it ... this didn't!!! It was crusty and chunky and GROSS. The booth was disgusting. See the pictures!!! So not happy!!!!! No refund offered paid full price and service was horrible.

Walking into the diner takes you back to an earlier time, but the smiling faces of the servers keeps you engaged and craving every bite. I got the Chicken Fried Steak combo with a waffle, and it was great! The steak was fried to perfection with golden brown skin, and the grits provided were creamy and to consistency! My wife got the tenders and grits combo, a meal that she ate and left no crumb to be scavenged after. Like last time, there was a long line but we got in pretty fast. The hostess told us 35 to 40 minutes when we got on the waitlist it was actually 31 minutes, so happy about that. We were seated quickly and our server, taylor B. was prompt and friendly. The inside was clean and comfortable. It has nice decor without feeling too cluttered. We split a breakfast burrito because I has one the last time we were here and it was tasty and large enough to split. It was good, very large, not the best I have had, but pretty much exactly what we expected. I would recommend this restaurant.

We tossed around a few suggestions and decided to stop at Cotton Patch Cafe since it was on the way home and wasn't out of the way. The restaurant, being a Saturday afternoon, wasn't busy at all. We were greeted with smiles and shown to our table. Rachael, our server greeted us and took our drink orders, unsweetened iced tea all the way around. One of the issues I have with Cotton Patch Cafe's menu is there are SO many awesome choices. It's hard to make a decision. Rachael checked back in with us and we had a chance to visit with her. We learned she had recently moved to Mansfield from New Mexica. We chatted about our last trip to New Mexico and all the fun we had while visiting the state. Finally, we made our choices. My wife ordered the small chicken tenders' basket with fries. I decided on the small chicken fried steak accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes, and Cotton Patch's incredible baked squash. It was a leisurely time catching up of how both of our previous week had gone. We're so busy during the week, we're sometime like passing ships in the night. Rachael arrived at our table with our piping hot entrees. My wife's chicken strips were so hot, she broke them into so they could cool down. My wife said they were awesome, and her fries were fried to perfection. My chicken fried steak was one of the crispest I've ever enjoyed. It was fried perfection just like my wife's fries. What can I say about the squash casserole, it was delightful as well as the garlic mashed potatoes with the jalapeno cream gravy. The manager even dropped by to see if all was OK. We said it was! What a delightful visit we enjoyed at Cotton Patch, all was wonderful, and Rachael was one of the best servers EVER! Thank you, Cotton Patch for a wonderful time.

We ordered a lot of food lol We had a 6 mile hike so we were hungry!! Anywho, we ordered the shrimp for our appetizers. We each got one. It was good. That's one thing I was craving. I enjoyed my meal but I felt the corn wasn't that sweet and the mashed potatoes weren't that creamy but I still ate them. She took our drink order and came back immediately with them. We order an appetizer and the 19oz steak, and an order of 12 grilled shrimp with rice. Sweet potatoes all around and side salads. The salads and appetizer of fried pickles came out. The fried pickles were piping hot and with a side of house made ranch dressing! Yum! The salads were so fresh and crisp... croutons, grape tomatoes, eggs. It was a wonderful salad! I think next time I'll get a bigger one! The steak came out perfect temp and exactly Medium Rare. The grilled shrimp also came out well! Perfect temperature and color! The rice was piping hot. The sweet potatoes were also great! My friend also tried the strawberry margarita and said it was delish! I was driving, so only ice tea for me! Emily was on point bringing us refills and didn't bat an eye, when we stopped her for a water and artificial sweetener.... She brought it promptly. The table we sat at was a booth and chair combo. The company that I was with sat in the chairs, they did complain that the chairs were a little low to the table and they sat really hard.... Padding on the seats would have been preferred. I sat on the bench, which was comfortable since it was padded. The manager, Bree, made an appearance at our table and greeted us, asking about our experience. This was a really nice touch. Now let me say one thing, if you are looking for a quiet dinner, this place is not for you. This is what I consider a Family restaurant, children and loud noise from everywhere. Not my favorite kind of place to eat, but the quality of the food made up for the racket. Also, if you have a peanut allergy, get your food to go. There are bags of peanuts on every table. I DID smell peanuts while there. I have an allergy but can take the smell in small doses. It didn't last but for those with severe sensitivity, beware. Would I eat here again? Definitely! But I think I will go when most people are at work.

Have been back since then. Talk about your corner hole in the wall type places. It's located in the middle of an L shaped strip building. Inside is clean, and spacious. Nothing fancy here, but plenty of tables and a few booths. They have a covered outside patio, which might even be fully enclosed, with some pool tables. The bar location is on the back wall, with lots of seating. Full bar, with a reasonable amount of draft beers, and several good ones along with the normal commercial swill. I sat at the bar both times, and got great service. First time I did the usual and checked out the salsa and queso. Both were good and didn't taste like pre made stuff. If it was, well they picked a couple of winners. The serving was more than ample, more then I could eat over the course of the visit. Second time I went back, I was going to make a point to try the onion rings since they looked so good in the pics. As I was looking at the menu I noticed they had a Montecristo sandwich. As I've mentioned before, I have yet to find anything that even remotely comes close to the holy grail of MC sandwiches, the one and only made by Bennigan's. Of course, I ordered it, and the onions rings. I'm happy to say the MC here is the closest I've ever come to find. It was really good, and the jam served with it was also pretty dead on. It was a little nasty like it should be, but not as greasy as it should be, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. The onion rings were really good, even if the batter was flaking off a bit. Anyway, I like the place, wish I could drag myself out more. Been customers here every time I've been, but not as many that should be. They also have a digital jukebox so if you're here and ever hear something bizarre playing, it's probably me. Service and staff have always been very good. They know how to make a pretty good margarita as well, and prices are very good.

Decision made, 54th Street for dinner it is. Arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the hostesses and shown to our table. Ava, our bubbly server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It always takes us a while to decide since there is SO many delectable items on 54th Street's menu. My wife decided on the Chicken Avocado Grill, with a side of fries. I opted for a half rack of baby back ribs with beans and Cole slaw. Miss Reba, our diva dog at home, will be VERY happy when her daddy brings home bones. After a short wait, Ava came by to let up know out entrees were almost ready. We told her we were in no rush at all, which we weren't. All the sudden one of the kitchen expeditors delivered our entrees. Oh yummy, everything looked wonderful. She loves 54th Street's fries. So the French fries were the first to be tasted. I saw an ugly face and wondered what was wrong. I tasted one of the fries and made the same ugly face. The was WAY TOO much salt on the fries. They were inedible. Fortunately one of the managers was close by and I summoned him to our table. My wife explained what the issue was with the fries. Since the French fries were on a separate plate, the manager asked if he could taste them. Yep, ugly face, way over seasoned. He said he'd be right back. He took the plate back to the kitchen. Shortly, he arrived back at our table with a new plate of fries and a cup of 54th Street's special seasoning on the side. Everything solved and a happy wife. My wife's chicken sandwich were delicious as well as my baby back ribs and sides. Thank you Ava, the management, and the whole staff of 54th Street for a wonderful visit. We'll see all again soon.
