TRULY A HISTORICAL MOMENT FOR ME. I've always known and heard of the Waffle House chain from memes, the fact that it is a PvP zone and has been suggested as a fighting game stage, and that the best way to gauge weather emergencies is with the number of Waffle Houses closed in a vicinity as it is always open everyday, 24/7. We came here super late at night, past midnight and we were welcomed in warmly. Everything was nicely lit and clean, even the restroom. Amber was our server and she was super friendly. Food came out super fast and is extremely cheap. I gotta say, for the all day breakfast diners, Waffle House is currently outranking Denny's and IHOP for me. The hashbrowns were nice and crisp without being too oily or salty or undercooked. Chili was delicious and we all had the slight fear that our S'mores waffle was going to be too sweet (as they usually are or other places), but it wasn't! What a nice surprise! Good amount of Nutella and chocolate chips but the actual dish was perfect. My mind is still baffled by the Waffle House plating and ordering system, but that's a story for a different time. If Waffle House ever expanded into the West Coast it'd be a power house as there aren't many 24/7 places that are this high quality, cheap, and fast! They got a new fan here! read more

Stopped in after a night out and was welcomed by our server, Veronica, right away...she was awesome and made the atmosphere great. She took our order and called it out which was pretty cool to hear. The food came out hot and just as we ordered. All tasty and we had a lot of food. The only negative was that the table was not big enough for all our food. For the first time in many years I had a great experience at Waffle House. The one in Mansfield is probably the best. That says a lot about management taking the time to properly train their employees and selecting the right people. Went there on new years at around 1 AM, Food was pretty good, but the service was absolutely awful, yes there was a few good waitors/waitresses there, but the one who served us, "Stevie" I think her name was, was incredibly rude the entire time, When she brought us our food she basically slammed the plates down to the point to where some of the food even fell off of the plate, Didn't get a single refill the entire time we were there, she seemed irritated the entire time, like I get it you're working on new years, but you signed up for this when you applied, there's no need to take it out on your customers read more

I get its Waffle House, but I've never seen something so embarrassing. It took 25 minutes for them to cook a double order of hash browns. The only person who was actually doing their job (and the job of four other people) was a sweet girl with a red "777" tattoo on her wrist. That girl got everyone into shape and back on track, got the line back to pace, got the customers checked out and still kept a smile on her face! So I've tried Waffle House before in Tallahassee Fl and it was so good, great southern home cooking, and the prices are great as well. I enjoyed my visit was early and not crowded at all, they serve a lot of food , so I had leftovers for my Piggy Olive , she was happy eating my pecan waffle. That's my fav waffle from Waffle House , the blueberry is also good but the pecan omg yum! It's family friendly , glad they don't smoke in there like before! Sadly one of the worst services I've received in a while. One positive: there was a woman with pink hair who was the only good thing about my visit. She greeted us as soon as me, my fiancé and friends walked in, helped clean a table for the 5 of us and gave us menus. The negatives...: the woman with pink hair was not our waitress but the black woman with dreads I believe. We didn't get greeted at our table for 10 minutes, our waitress never told us her name and even greeted a table behind us that arrived after we did. Asked if we wanted plastic utensils or silver ones which I've never been asked/told that ever before even during late night outings. She took an extra couple of minutes to get our drinks to us (fresh coffee was ok but the extra full and having to ask for extra creamer was not ok) cook time for the food was as it should be however I myself and one of my friends got a waffle.. that we never received. We waited a little longer just in case and even heard the cooks calling out that waffles were ready and even an extra order of sausage that was also supposed to go to my friend but she never received it. We were there a total of about an hour before my fiancé had to wave down our sever to have her take the waffle off our tickets and then get our tickets so we could leave. Our waitress along with another waitress who was white and bald and wore a beanie, didn't do much in terms of work. We saw mostly standing around, leaning and the waitress with the beanie even eating in front of customers. Our waitress never even came by after giving us our food to check in on us to make sure everything was good so she never knew that we were missing sausage and two waffles. It's Waffle House, so my expectations are flexible but this was unbelievable. Filthy doesn't even come close to describing it. All tables dirty even though restaurant was empty. Whatever the table was finally wiped down with also had a terrible odor. The AC did not appear to be working well, it was warm smelly and dirty. Employees arguing when we came in. Later hollering questions at each other across the restaurant as if they were at home. There were about 7-8 workers but all hanging out in the back. The 25 minutes I was there, there was no cook visible. Took about 15 min to even take drink order. After ordering and seeing no cook appear for another 10minutes, I got up and asked if they were going to be able to fill our order. One employee said we're "getting" the cook. One other customer had come in by this time and was also waiting to be served despite the empty restaurant and ample staff to customer ratio. I told them this service level was not ok and was told I was rude. I hope the owner/operator is aware that the people they have there had no interest in working or have any basic knowledge of customer service. Waffle House just isn't for you if you are used to high end, upscale dining. If you don't mind watching the very real interactions of the wait and cook staff, this is your place. What you see is what you get. Most of the staff here are extremely friendly and don't mind having a chat with you when you sit at the bar. There are a couple of waitress that don't talk much, but you can't fault anyone for their personality. There is nothing to hide here:). Food is good and fresh. You won't see a bin of already cooked bacon and sausage on the grill, it's all cooked to order. The eggs are real, nothing from the bag as far as I could see. Waffles were raw!!! We got one item at a time so our bacon was cold when the eggs arrived etc. hubby ordered hash browns with all the trimmings they came with a square piece of cheese. Afterward we were told the manager didn't pull the (chunks) ham, no chili, and no mushroom!!! Why weren't we told this before??? And what they called gravy was chunky. I am from the south and our gravy isn't chunky unless it has sausage in it ... this didn't!!! It was crusty and chunky and GROSS. The booth was disgusting. See the pictures!!! So not happy!!!!! I feel like waffle house is totally underrated 100% I came in at 6:10 am it wasn't too busy, but my server was just about to be released from her shift after working from 9pm to 6 this morning but she took me as her last table. Her service was amazing very friendly environment all the employees were so warm and friendly. I orders the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and it was amazing and i had ordered an extra side of bacon with it, once she realized the bacon didn't get to me at the exact same time as my meal she fried me up extra bacon for any "inconvenience" which there wasn't. This morning I almost got a family owned restaurant vibe from this staff they're amazing and i'll definitely be going more often. only complaint i have is that the hash was a little greasy but they were still amazing. We came to this Waffle House and arrived to a pretty full-looking house tonight. This place is pretty clean and didn't give me that sort of gritty, over-oily, dirty feel that I've felt at some other Waffle Houses I've been to. There was a table open but had not been cleaned off but a waitress cleared it off and wiped down the tabletop and seats pretty soon after noticing me and my friend. After a tiny wait and receiving our utensils, I noticed my knife had a lot of water residue on it and a bit of something else so I asked for a new one and they did so without any fuss. :) I wasn't ready to order the first two times the waitress came around but she wasn't annoyed at all. My food tasted great. :D The eggs were a lovely yellow with the cheese mixed in. The bacon wasn't too crunchy but wasn't too soggy. The hashbrowns were cooked in a circular ring but came out fine. Sweet tea was great like always. Waffle House food is usually the same wherever you go. However, this location has just that AND great staff to boot. Would come back again. The service that is laid back and casual as if you weren't their guest. The short order cooks running around like a chicken with their head cut off. The drink girl trying to keep up with filling sweet teas and coffees. Stopped in this past Saturday for a late breakfast. We had some time to kill waiting on our other vehicle to get serviced at the meineke. Came into a packed house... Only two spots left were at the bar. We hopped into the old cushy chairs and began reading over the menu. (It's been years since I set foot in one of these) oh my things haven't changed. I swear waffle houses are frozen in whatever decade they were built. The Waitress walking by said she would be with us in a minute. Okie dokie then. She came back around 5 minutes later and took our drink and food orders. 2 sweet teas, a managers special ( 2 eggs/hash browns with two toppings/choice of meat/toast), and a special breakfast (2 eggs/ meat of choice/ hash browns/ waffle). She came back fairly quickly with the drinks and utensils. Until our food arrived we had some decent entertainment. Listening to the old and new cook bicker at each other.
