My chosen sides were their mashed potatoes & garlic spinach . My drink was their Arnold Palmer. They didn't have our table for 8 ready on time even though they were only at about 50% occupancy when we arrived and I had said we we were confirmed and on time to be there on the app. It was still a 20-minute wait. Food was forgettable and hot breakfasts came out lukewarm. Service was inattentive. In 90 minutes we never got refills on water or coffee. Would not go back. read more

My husband was craving steak & eggs. I was looking for places near Arlington. I found this one on google. The inside is cute & we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. They have seasonal menu which I thought it was pretty cool. What I liked about this restaurant is that they have breakfast all day. We got there at 2:30pm. Which was convenient for us. I got the French toast, it was a 8/10. I added the strawberries to them. My eggs were ehhhh... I didn't like them or the sausage. The sausage was too thick. I didn't eat them. My husband loved his steak & eggs. My son loved his pancakes. I thought they were cute. I tried his pancakes & they were pretty good. Our server was Chris. She was attentive & nice. First time at this Mimi's. It's tucked away in the Highlands shopping district, but has lots of parking and easy access. Busy on a Monday morning, but we were greeted warmly seated immediately. I got brunch here with friends and it was stunning. I ordered a breakfast burrito and the portion size was generous. Our waiter remembered everyone's orders and kept the free drink refills steadily flowing. We appreciated that they reserved a big table for us and were cool with issuing separate checks for everyone in our party. First time at Mimi's Cafe. The waiter Oscar helped me with the breakfast menu and recommendations. I ordered the Grand breakfast with option to pick French toast waffles or pancakes. I enjoyed my order. I also observed a busboy cleaning tables pretty quickly. I found out his name is Mario. He does a great job cleaning up and having the tables ready for the customers. My friend and I spoke with the Manager Francisco. He told him that we admired Mario's work ethic. Side note, my friend's meal was a tad cold and requested it to be warmed up. It was a Saturday morning, we had just done our civic duty and donated blood, now it was time for a hearty breakfast. We hadn't been to Mimi's for a while, they were known for their wonderful muffins and breakfasts, so Mimi's it was! Fortunately, there was there no wait on a Saturday morning, we were seated immediately. Bring on the piping hot coffee, then lets talking about what we're having for breakfast. Our attentive server made some suggestions from the plethora of choices. To complicate matters, seasonal choices were listed on the blackboard. Decisions, decisions, what to order? After looking over the menu, way TOO many choices to consider, we finally had some choices nailed down. My wife decided on Quiche Lorraine accompanied with breakfast potatoes and one of Mimi's delicious blueberry muffins. I was a bit more adventurous ordering their spinach artichoke omelet with breakfast potatoes and a buttermilk spice muffin. While waiting on breakfast entrees to arrive, we enjoyed conversation, people watching and Mimi's wonderful coffee. It was SO good. After a short wait, our server brought our beautifully presented breakfast entrees. Our table got very quiet as both of us enjoyed our wonderful breakfasts. My wife said the quiche was one of the best she's ever had. My spinach artichoke omelet was prepared perfectly, so fluffy and not overly cooked. The breakfast potatoes were a nice addition to our platters. As we finished our breakfasts, we both agreed not to wait too long before we headed back over to Mimi's for a special weekend dining experience. read more

Went for Sunday brunch and got seated fairly quick considering it was busy. Our waitress Chris was nice, but busy with a bigger party in her section. The drinks were really good. The food looks nice, but it was okay at best. We had asked one of the servers who brought out food for more chips for our artichoke dip, but he never returned with chips. I was genuinely looking forward to going to Mimi's since it's been a long time since the last time I came to eat here, so I'm mildly disappointed in the food. read more

What I ordered: - crab cake Benedict ( exceptional!!!) -chorizo tacos ( very tasty) -chocolate chip puppy ( I have a picky kid that actually ate!!! That should say something he doesn't even like eggs and ate the eggs. And loves bacon and ate the bacon. Also I gave him fruit he happily ate that as well!! ). We had reservations for 12:30 on Mother's Day, and had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. We finally sit down & the waitress was not friendly. The coffee was not hot, the food was good, but way overpriced for the quality. No apology for the long wait with a reservation, no compensation of any kind was offered. Great food with different flavors. I have too many favorite dishes to name. You can come in to Mimi's for soup and a drink, a sandwich or a special French dish oh la la. Service is great, Ana@ Mimi's Cafe Arlington is our server, she is always friendly and smiling, makes me think she loves her job! She is great at recommending dishes based on preferences. They're on pricey side, with ok portions - maybe a bit much for 1, but not quite enough for 2 adults. They hv decent selection of items. I had the Brie & mushroom quiche, which was good, but not spectacular. My friends liked their breakfast crepes. My favorite item was the roasted potatoes. Been going here for years, and their food used to be good. Recently though I've noticed a marked decline. The recipe has changed for a lot of their dishes, and they don't even look the same anymore. The service has been poor to appalling the last 3 times I've been there. Went tonight and the place was dirty and almost empty. They didn't even offer us their usual napkins. We were given cheap, paper napkins. We had to ask for extras, and our waitress even forgot the straws for our drinks. My soup dish was still sitting on the table after we had finished the main course. She didn't take away a single dirty dish until she brought us the final check. I will not be going back here anytime soon. Such a shame to see this place turning into such a bad place to go. read more

It is with a heavy heart that I have discovered the downfall of Mimi's. This has always been my go to for celebrating milestones, and treating myself to a spectacular meal and service. I had not dined at the Arlington Mimi's in some time, and was looking forward to a Mother's Day brunch. The service was satisfactory, no critical words for that, but the ambiance has completely changed. No longer did I enjoy soft French music, setting the scene for a great meal, but they were BLASTING 90's R&B. Hey, I love my 90's R&B, Breakfast Brother's is my jam, but at Mimi's, I am expecting an auditory experience matching the cuisine. I ordered for my coffee and heavy cream, but they no longer bring out the small stainless creamer, now it's 7-11 coffee service with room temp mini moos. They did not even have the breadbasket with whipped butters! I know times are changing, but I walked out of there for right under $100 for 2 meals and coffees, with a severely lacking experience. Overpriced, underwhelmed, I am sadly booking my next reservation at other local establishments like Sanford House, or Cafe Americana, same, if not lower, price points, concierge level service, soothing, on point ambience, and exquisite meals. Perhaps I am no longer Mimi's demographic, and they are ushering in fresh customers that will delight in their changes. For any old guard patrons, the thrill is gone. read more

You need to go to Mimi's and ask for Ricky to be your server. He is one of the best servers we have ever had. He was so good, we asked the manager to come talk to us. As we sang our praises for Ricky's knowledge and proactive service, we discovered that Francisco, the manager, has also been at Mimi's for years! What a great team. Wonderful leadership and a very happy employee. You can literally feel how happy these two men are to work at Mimi's. The food was second to these two wonderful guys. Don't believe me? I hadn't had Mimi's in years since the one in my town closed, but saw this location while in town for a football game and decided on giving it a try. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict's and they were really good. The side of potatoes it came with had some type of seasoning on them that I really loved. The coffee was also good and strong! I tried a blueberry muffin and it was warm and delicious. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress was nice and attentive. There were a lot of people but we didn't have to wait long for a table at all. They sat us promptly. I had missed Mimi's and glad I chose to stop by for breakfast. read more

Boy has this place gone downhill. The quality of beef they used on the burger was ridiculously bad. It had so much additive to low quality beef that it didn't even resemble the smell or taste of beef. We couldn't eat it. The huge expensive salad was a plate full of lettuce, very little other components with it. The eggs Benedict were fine but the rest of our order just was not worth the trip there. It is not what it used to be. Don't get the burger for sure. One good point is they did not charge us for the burger when we complained. read more
