Friendly staff here at this waffle house; also very fast as well at getting the food out. I had the 2 egg breakfast and it was all good, except for the grits which seemed to have been in the pot for a while and had hard chunks in them. The part I hate isn't really anyone's fault there, but almost $20 for breakfast which a few years ago you could get for under $10. For that price I could just go to one of the fancier brunch places and pay the same price. read more

We have been to several Waffle House stores before, so during our stay at Panama City, FL we had some breakfast at this location - and we loved it! It was not too crowded and the food was freshly made and overall better than in a store which is heavily packed during breakfast time. We came twice - and both times our server Amanda gave us a blast! She was so fast, nice and friendly - never made such an experience in a Waffle House. Anyway all team members were very obliging and the kindliness felt authentic. The service was outrageous! If we will return to Panama City, we will definitely return to this place - hoping that we will get the same fresh food and will meet Amanda again. Your average Waffle House, this one is near the Panama City Mall and several hotels. We came here two days in a row prior to fishing in The Gulf and experienced good service, even when it was busy. As with all Waffle House's there's tremendous value here, but I'd stick to breakfast, for obvious reasons. Keep it simple and you'll survive. In fact, when the waitress heard we were going fishing for the day she brought us to-go cups so we could load up on sweet tea. Friendly staff makes Waffle House meals taste better. Right? read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have even got from a waffle House. Our waitress left without even telling us she was leaving..just leaving us hanging.. And now the other staff is ignoring us. I want to make it clear that I am only giving this place a one star because of the management. We came in on Wednesday at like 12:30am and we had a great waitress she did everything she could with what she had. About halfway into our meal this drugged out homeless guy walks in and is on his phone (on speaker) yelling to his other drugged out friends. He wonders around the place for a while and finally sits right behind us. He sat for a good 0.003 seconds before he started SCREAMING for a waitress. Who was the ONLY waitress on staff with a full restaurant. She starts taking care of the other people who have been waiting patiently and he's on his phone yelling about how no one ever takes care of him here. For good reason. About 10 minutes later she gets over to him and he hands her his phone to take his buddy's order. Oh no. That is NOT her job. She could barely understand the guy sitting in front of her let alone on a gov. phone. But she did it any way because she is a great waitress. She fought through 3 Togo orders and this guy ordering "pancakes" in front of her. I give her mad props. Now I come here a lot. I work in the service industry and I don't get off until 12-1am sometimes and Waffle House is good/cheap/open a multitude of reasons. No one comes here for the service or the ambiance, but that doesn't mean that management can't make this place run efficiently. That woman should not have to work THAT hard for maybe $45 ALL NIGHT. My question is why isn't there a manager on site at all times. We didn't stay long enough for the whole interaction with the guy so I don't know if the situation escalated, and it's probable that it did. Why wasn't a person in charge there to defuse the situation? And why was she the only one on the floor? I get Wednesday nights might not be a peak night but jeez give the girl some help! And if it's just a matter of someone didn't show for their shift then why wasn't A MANAGER THERE TO FIX THE PROBLEM??? This all comes down to poor management. I've worked in the restaurant business since I was 16. I've done it all. This woman who took care of us was AMAZING. There's not many people who could have done that without snapping. I know I couldn't. I give her the upmost respect. She should be working somewhere that treats their employees with respect and doesn't set them up to fail. What I saw tonight was disgusting. That woman and the cook were put to their breaking point and that should never have to happen at a freaking diner at 12 am. Shame on the management. read more
