PLEASE...do not be scared off by the lines. It goes fast and seating was very easy to get. If you have a large party, ask the waitress and they'll set you up. They are awesome. We waited 10 min to order and food came out within 10 min. Simple. Ordered the politician and an ice coffee. Man I tell you what, this place is amazing!!!! The entire meal was great. Been eating at Tudor's since the 1990s, upon visits to my hometown, Charleston WV. On this last trip, a few weeks back I found the Charleston Tudor's to be sub-standard, vs the ones in Ripley, Beckley, and Nitro. Flat BISCUITS, and so-so scrambled eggs are unacceptable at Tudor's guys, really. Train those folks in Charleston to do better, please. We brag about you often on social media. We were very excited to try it out on our last trip down. Needless to say, I was skeptical. I know what it's supposed to taste like... Man, it did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I'm not too sure if it's a chain but certainly a mom and pop place with great service. There appears to be two registers - one for cash only and card. There is an ATM if you don't want to wait at the card only register. Our group ordered the sausage biscuit combo with cheese grits, country breakfast and sausage egg and cheese biscuit. These biscuits are huge! I regretted not ordering a side sausage biscuit because of how much leftover biscuit I had. Their cheese grits was creamy and buttery as well. I tried the hash browns and it was too greasy but I didn't expect anything less. When I tell you that their customer service here is great, I really mean it. They had servers coming around refilling water and coffee and asking if we needed anything else. They even put water in my cup as we were settling down after we ordered. One of the servers even told us her name just in case we needed anything. This is certainly a place with good food and an even greater customer service. Plus you can't beat their prices. read more
