Been eating at Tudor's since the 1990s, upon visits to my hometown, Charleston WV. On this last trip, a few weeks back I found the Charleston Tudor's to be sub-standard, vs the ones in Ripley, Beckley, and Nitro. Flat BISCUITS, and so-so scrambled eggs are unacceptable at Tudor's guys, really. Train those folks in Charleston to do better, please. We brag about you often on social media. Not only is the food great, but the staff is the best! The 2.5 carat solitaire diamond fell out of my wedding ring. I noticed it was missing while enjoying my breakfast. Madison found the diamond and brought it straight to me! Not many people would've done the same. It would've been very easy for her to just keep it for herself. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I'm not too sure if it's a chain but certainly a mom and pop place with great service. There appears to be two registers - one for cash only and card. There is an ATM if you don't want to wait at the card only register. Our group ordered the sausage biscuit combo with cheese grits, country breakfast and sausage egg and cheese biscuit. These biscuits are huge! I regretted not ordering a side sausage biscuit because of how much leftover biscuit I had. Their cheese grits was creamy and buttery as well. I tried the hash browns and it was too greasy but I didn't expect anything less. When I tell you that their customer service here is great, I really mean it. They had servers coming around refilling water and coffee and asking if we needed anything else. They even put water in my cup as we were settling down after we ordered. One of the servers even told us her name just in case we needed anything. This is certainly a place with good food and an even greater customer service. Plus you can't beat their prices. read more
