Upon walking in we were sat at a dirty table. The floors were disgusting as well. Our server took our order quickly but took a while to call it out to the kitchen. He returned minutes later with our drinks and forgot just that quickly who ordered what. Our food came and my bacon was missing, my daughter didn't get her waffle and we waited for syrup. A bit later he returned with bacon that was barely cooked. I asked for it to be cooked more and for syrup. Eventually I got up and asked another server for syrup because my waffle was no longer hot. By the time the bacon came we were done eating and ready to leave. I will not return to this location. I love WF and have never experienced such poor service and uncleanliness. read more

This our third visit in ten months and we ran into the same situation. They close at "night" for dine in and they only do to-go orders. Yelp says they are open for dine in, Google says they are open for dine in, and the actual business recording says they are open for dine in. But you get a special surprise when you pull up to the business each time! This particular visit there was a tweaker out front making out with someone that appeared to be the cook on duty. We all get out of the vehicle and they stop for a brief moment so the cook can yell at us that they are only open for to go orders at night. I asked what time does that start and he proceeds to tell me "at night". He went back to business with the tweaker and we went on driving. Even though I lived down south for almost 10 years, I never tried this place out. I didn't start eating at the Waffle House until about five years ago. So far, I've loved everything that I've tried there but I really like the fact that I can get a full breakfast of my basics: sausage or bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, grits, buttered white toast and orange juice. I've never been much of a waffle or omelet eater, but they're both delicious here. The secret to enjoying a good waffle there is to request that the waffle come out before the food because everything else takes longer to prepare. If you get them all at the same time, the waffle cools off more than you would probably like it. So eat that first. About two years ago, it seems that they changed the recipe for grits and now I don't like it at all. I used to love it. That's the only thing that I don't order anymore. We stayed at a hotel beside this waffle house. My daughter had an early dentist appt so we ordered waffle house to go on our way. The girl that took our order was very friendly, and our food came out quick. Unfortunately the food was absolutely disgusting. All 3 of us got eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast. None of us at the bacon, it tasted like ashes. Even the toast tasted bad. My toddler and myself managed to eat most of the egg and hashbrown but had to cover it in ketchup first. This is the best Waffle House that I have ever visited in my travels. The chain has a reputation for being a bit "divey" but this visit erased that image from my mind. To start off; an employee was stationed at the door to let people in & out. Upon walking in, the crew greets you in unison. The place was packed, and the line cooks had their hands full. However it was definitely a case of organized chaos as the manager "Chris" kept everything running smoothly. Very, very impressive. Then the meal. I ordered a special with a few substitutions & omissions - and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a correct order that was PERFECTLY COOKED. Place was absolutely filthy. The table, the floor, the silverware, the syrup dispenser. Service was slow. My hash browns came out at the end of the meal. The waffle was undercooked, the hash browns were undercooked and beyond bland, the scrambled eggs were wet and cold. The entire restaurant was freezing. Walk in, take a seat, pick your meal and have it come out in 10 minutes. Simple, easy and delicious. The waffles aren't Belgian style where it's thick and fluffy, it's a bit thinner with a crispier outside. I liked how they show all the brands they use, most are household brands most people know and use so it was familiar and simple. It's cheap, good and quick. read more
