The first time we went was over 10 years ago and as soon as this trip was being planned, my husband already told me we had to make a stop. This place is a typical greasy spoon. You walk in and find your own seat. There's an open kitchen so you can see everything that goes on behind the counter. My husband and I were waited on right away. I ordered the chicken fried steak with grits. My husband got the steak and eggs with a waffle. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted great. I have no complaints. The steaks were both a little thin but for the price we paid it was a good deal. The biscuits were delicious. And like always the waffle was a star. Everything is truly farm-to-table, with the restaurant sourcing all of its fresh ingredients directly from local farmers.
