After a few months passed, I decided to give this diner another opportunity. The breakfast and…read moreservice was good and got the spot. On this particular day I ordered Al a carte--2 soft scramble eggs with cheese, hash browns with onions and ham, and one pancake. Listen, I still feel how I felt previously about the okra, so I'll just refrain from ordering that in the future. Otherwise, I'll continue to support this hometown establishment.

We decided to stay and try out other things on their menu. I had the hamburger steak with gravy and onions corn nuggets, green beans and garlic bread. The garlic bread I don't recommend as the garlic was burnt and you know how that can taste. The rest of my food was cooked perfectly and seasoned with what I like to call "seasoned to perfection". My daughter had the shrimp platter with fries which she cleaned her plate. The shrimps were huge compared to fried shrimps around this area, they were also fresh and flavorful. My Husband had the classic cheese burger which was good but he didn't rave about it the way I raved about my food . Thank you to the Manager on duty Jackie she was so kind and helpful to us while our visit here. We will be back for breakfast as a family as I am dying to try their French toast and perhaps other things on their menu.

Recently opened in Old Pizza Hut location on major US Highway with similar eateries and fast food…read morenearby. Our first try was today at 2pm after reading local newspaper article. . Clean establishment, plenty of convenient parking. Quick service at order counter and took us time to familiarize with menu etc. No rush or hustle from staffer! My wife ordered the Reuben Combo, and I opted for the 6 hot wings Combo with bleu cheese. . The wings were advertised as "with Celery and choice of Ranch or Bleu Chese Dressing". Combos include a sizeable serving of crinkle cut Fries and endless drink refills at the beverage bar. Wife is a Reuben Connoisseur and it seemed the only "Deli" Item offered (In a place titled a Deli?) Food was delivered from the kitchen to table after a short wait and was served in Styro clamshells. Condiments, seasonings, napkins, utensils and drinks were all self-serve from nearby locations.. Reuben combo. Served on two-toned rye bread and wrapped in tissue, not halved. The corned beef was sliced thinly, overcooked, dry and tough. We both mouthed "Leather" at the same moment! It was doused in thousand island dressing and NO sauerkraut or swiss cheese apparently. Reuben gets a "D" rating, only because it resembles a sandwich by that name. Wings with optional hot sauce. I received six mini-wings (about 2.5 inches long and minimal girth) that were dry, shrunk up and doused in hot sauce. They offer about 6 options for sauce but this ole boy goes for the fire! The sauce saved (or hid, more appropriately) the meal. No celery or bleu cheese was included in the clamshell. Did not go to counter and ask why?? Wings get a "C", saved by the sauce and ample fries. Crinkle fries. My favorite, my wife prefers shoestrings. I thought the fries were fine, crispy on the outside, just right on the inside and servings were ample. Note: Coke products and only Sweet Tea offered at beverage bar, no Unsweet or lemon wedges offered. +++ Let's face it, it's expensive to eat out these days, every restaurant faces increasing labor, food and overhead costs. Discriminating diners seek VALUE for $$ spent and I'd rate this a very low value for the $$ spent. The tab came to $25.26. For $25.00++ for two, there are better value lunch options nearby.
