I maneuvered to get to the hot food section and got in what I thought was a line. The staff gave everyone their orders while I just stood there trying to figure out what was going on. Finally I saw a sign that said pay at the register first so I made my way over to the check out section to get to the end of a very long line , mind you my 2nd line. Of course I picked the slow line that was barely moving. 20 minutes in 2 lines and I still don't have Menudo. I pay for Menudo and ask to speak with the manager. The clerk (Katie) went to the back. She took a while to come back. I was told that he had stepped out. She took my receipt over to the cooks so that I could get my order sooner. She was very nice. Customer service is everything to me. I don't eat out often but 1st impressions are everything to me. Unfortunately I won't ever be back. 25 minutes to get Menudo is unacceptable.

It is not the newest H E B and it is not the most updated, but honestly, that is part of what makes it so great. Even when it is crowded, you can still move around easily and get down the aisles without constantly waiting for someone to move their cart. A lot of the newer H E Bs have much smaller aisles, which can make shopping feel stressful, especially during busy times. That is never really an issue here. On top of that, the customer service is always great. The staff is friendly, helpful, and consistent every time I visit. Parking is also usually ample, so you are not circling the lot forever trying to find a spot unless it is right before a major holiday like Thanksgiving. Overall, this H E B gets it right. Great service, great products, and a store layout that actually makes grocery shopping easy and stress free. This location definitely deserves the recognition.

Even though I'm Hispanic, I don't speak fluent Spanish, but I didn't feel out of place or like I was being judged for it. What can I say, I'm a "coconut" not by choice, but my parents only spoke Spanish to us when they were mad. Overall, the customer service was great. I bought about 6-7 pounds of meat for my family. Honestly, I felt like I didn't buy enough, but when I saw the total $74. I figured maybe it was a good thing I didn't go overboard. I got around 2.5 pounds of ribs, 2.5 pounds of beef fajitas, and 3 pounds of chicken fajitas, all pre-seasoned. Normally, I avoid pre-seasoned meat because some places use it to move older products, but after grilling it, I was impressed. The meat tasted fantastic so tender and flavorful, much better than what you'd typically get elsewhere. The prices range from $11.99 to $14.99 per pound, but honestly, it's worth every penny!
