Not my favorite... ordered stir fried noodles, chicken katsu and chicken ramen.... everything tasted like airplane food to me.

Located near the famous Baker Street Station, we stopped by this spot while meeting a friend and…read moredecided to grab a quick bite. The place was quite busy, and interestingly, the same person taking orders was also cooking. It's a very small setup--definitely not meant for dining in. The vibe is more like "grab your food and head out." We ordered chicken egg fried rice and chicken chow mein. Watching the food being cooked right in front of us was fascinating--quick, high heat, and full of action. Once we got our order, we sat outside to eat. The first thing I noticed was that the food was quite oily. More disappointing, though, was that I couldn't find any chicken in my fried rice--even though I had paid extra for it. I went back, showed them, and asked if chicken had been added. They bluntly said "yes" and didn't bother to check further, which was frustrating That said, the food itself tasted good overall. It's just that the oiliness and the lack of proper service took away from the experience. I wouldn't say I won't visit again--it feels more like an off day--but I was definitely expecting better service.

I ordered the Chicken Katsu over brown rice with Szechuan sauce. It wasn't too spicy and had a good portion of protein. It took about 10 minutes to wait for food. Be cautious if the line gets long- you may be waiting 30 minutes in total, given there aren't many grills and the kitchen can get backed up.

From the moment he greeted us, he was friendly, patient, fun, and incredibly attentive. His attention to detail was excellent, and every recommendation he made was spot-on. He didn't just serve us--he made sure we genuinely enjoyed the experience. And that Gordon's Fried Chicken?! Absolutely to die for! We tried it both with and without the spicy sauce, and honestly, you can't go wrong either way. The handcrafted cocktails were superb as well. I had both the House Old Fashioned and the Original Old Fashioned. Both were very good, but the House Old Fashioned took the crown! Great food and cocktails can make a night memorable, but exceptional service is what makes you want to return. Luca, thank you for your patience, personality, recommendations, and outstanding service. You represented Lucky Cat exceptionally well and helped make our London evening one to remember. And then there was the view! Lucky Cat gave us one of the most spectacular dining views I've ever experienced. Outside of New York City, this may honestly be the best restaurant view I've ever had. Looking out over London while enjoying dinner and cocktails made the entire experience that much more special. Cheers from Andre & Andrea

Afternoon Tea @ The Connaught…read more As part of birthday celebrations, I booked the reservation (highly recommended) at least a week ahead. Arriving, I was thoroughly pleased to have dined on the terrace, with its vibrant stained glass in the wonderful London sunshine! (Sunshine, rare... right?) :) Curated by Michelin Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten, the experience, of course, includes finger sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. The setting is polished, the staff - courteous & eager to assist with the myriad of selections, tailoring to one's preferences and/or willingness to explore outside of the norm. Starting with champagne of your choosing, the amuse bouche follows shortly thereafter. Following that, one is encouraged to try as many teas as possible, several being sourced from Southeast Asia, amongst the British standards. The finger sandwiches were surprising in flavor vibrant, save for the standard cucumber sandwich - being quite bland as it was. The teas I savoured were most delicate and not overpowering. Promptly, the tea tower arrived with scones and playful sweets. The scones, fresh and warm, were served with clotted cream, apricot and strawberry spreads. Imho, the strawberry could easily be replaced by a more unique flavor - boysenberry, pumpkin, gooseberry - anything other than what we can find in our local grocer. If Chef is going for a singular experience, this is a great talking point. But the two flavors served, didn't take away from afternoon tea, either. On to the sweet delights: Full disclosure, I wanted unique presentation, and these served. Of all the deserts, only one fell flat. The varied in flavor intensity and texture, making each new one a surprise for the palate. I was surprised at the manner of dress, as some dined in jeans, though most dressed for the occasion. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend. BON APPÉTIT
