Our two dogs could not be more different (a small and scruffy, blind senior lap dog and a gorgeous young herding breed with boundless energy), and yet they both respond better to Kristie and Brandon than to any other groomers. After our first visit to Waggin' Tailz we recognized the rare quality and truly individualized, loving, tender, yet professional treatment our dogs received here. It's hard to impress us but we have become loyal (hopefully lifelong) customers. I will say I'm used to paying with credit cards or easy payment apps and QR codes, but paying with check or cash is absolutely worth it so that our dogs can have the kindness and consistency of the best groomers they'll ever know. I decided to try a local groomer just around the corner from my apartment and I'm so glad I did! I brought my 2.5 YO Pomeranian, Rosco, in for a quick consultation at 1:15pm(5min). My puppers needed her nails trimmed- or so we thought. Without an appointment I walked in to get her nails cut. Brendan- the son of the owner came out to assess our dogs nails. I was pleasantly surprised with his approach to our sweet pitbull. He was not only quick but he was soothing to our dog and very knowledgeable. I learned a bit from him about her nails and how to take care of them. I was told the cost would be $10-15 online however he did not charge me bc it was only her 'thumbs' that needed to be filed down. I gave the money to him anyways as tip for treating our dog so well. Brandon was able to squeeze us in for nail trims with two nervous dogs who hate having their paws touched -- I was absolutely blown away by how patient and gentle he was with our dogs. We stayed with them while he soothed them with pets and kisses and gently took a dremel to their nails. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROOMING SALON! A little backstory - I've been taking my dog here on and off since it opened and have had ZERO problems. Most of the dog's here we are also friend's with, since we hung around the same dog park. This Afternoon, I dropped my dog off to get her nails trimmed, which were admittedly overdue. I came to Wagging Tailz to support their small business. We dropped her off, with no problems, and waited in the parking lot. When he was finished with our dog, Brandon the owner's son, came out and told us it was $15 cash (we only had credit) which wasn't told to us initially. He took our dog back, we went to the ATM machine, and noticed their website stated walk in nail trims are $10, not $15. We came back to pick up our dog, showed him the website price, which was $10 and tried to pay. Brandon completely FLIPPED out, started yelling at me and my Husband, and began to tell us how "disrespectful we are, that we are neglecting our dog, and how dare we try to cheap him out on $5, and not support a small business during a pandemic". I was politely trying to convey that the website stated $10, and that we need to get more cash if the full price is $15. We couldn't get a word in edgewise. I don't mind paying the extra $5, but his behavior, SLANDER, and complete unprofessionalism was uncalled for. I was absolutely shocked. I have NEVER seen such poor behavior from an "owner" who then proceeded to tell me that "If I don't give him another $5, that he'll call the POLICE and get me arrested - and how dare I not support a small business owner." Professional business owners, generally don't react that way towards their clients. He got extremely angry, very fast, and it was pretty traumatizing. He has no business being in any management position in my opinion. I was literally fearful for my dog, since he refused to release her to us. First off, slander is illegal! Secondly, asking for more money than what the price stated on your website is not being transparent with your costs. Lastly, I'm an RN working the frontlines, SAVING LIVES, and this guy is telling me that I'm not supporting the pandemic?! I will be reporting this business, and also informing my friend's to no longer take their pet's here. I happily would have paid the $15 in cash up front; All he has to do was tell me that: 1. The price is $15. 2. We are only accepting cash at this time. However, being verbally abusive and threatening to call the Police on your client's is simply not acceptable. All this drama over $5 which could have been avoided. Just as a side note: Why aren't the employees wearing any masks? What are your safety measures? Why isn't your license on the door? To be extremely clear - this is not about the money. It's about how horribly we were treated. I understand the pandemic has caused a huge amount of stress. After being disappointed with overcrowded/expensive groomers or not even getting calls back for appointments, I waited over a month for a basic nail/bath appointment at Petco. Then I was turned away at the door today due to my geriatric dog being on a few medications (would have been nice to know earlier). I found Wagging Tailz online and asked if they could just do a nail trim, they welcomed me right away and even found time for a full treatment appointment later the same day! They took great care of my geriatric retriever, worked with her abilities, showed great knowledge with their recommendations for her overall health, did a wonderful job (she's so soft and clean!) and were incredibly honest/reasonable with fees and services. if i could give this place 0 stars i would. the first time i took my dog here, brandon mocked the treats i gave my dog, talking as if i didn't care about my dog because the treats were not up to his standards. side note: it was my FIRST dog ever, and he was 8 weeks old. tf???? he told me my dog would not be able to get groomed by them until i accustomed my dog to not being scared of scissors and things that vibrate. i do exactly that, then come back and then get accused of neglecting my dog for not bringing him in sooner (i had been grooming him myself at home. he is very taken care of). still make it make sense? just look up 1 star reviews and the keyword "brandon" and you will see exactly what i mean. he belittles every dog owner into trying to make them believe if you don't pay more than their stated price online or come often enough to give them a thriving business, you must not care about your dog. i'm not saying he implies that, he straight up will tell you that. Very unfortunate to have to leave this review. I had high hopes for this place when I first brought my dog Cash here. He was a baby pup and was brought here for his first haircut. Brandon was very helpful to start out by suggesting that we ease Cash into the whole process and we took his suggestions and trained him at home to acclimate him to the tools using an electric toothbrush as per Brandon's suggestion. Between grooming sessions here and in the midst of training Cash to become acclimated to their equipment, we brought Cash in to get his nails trimmed. Cash left this place with fleas. After treating Cash with flea shampoo baths and by-hand haircuts with barber equipment on our own for months and months, we finally had to bite the bullet and give cash harsh flea medicine that we were originally hoping to avoid having to do, as it isn't ideal for the pup especially so young. After 10 months of grooming and caring for cash ourselves and having our hand forced to feed our dog flea killer, we decided to give this place another try because they do really care about animals. I gave them a call and let them know the situation but was met with disgust that I had not taken Cash to a professional in 10 months. I explained that it was due to him having gotten fleas from their establishment and they were gravely offended. My wife and I love our dog. We spent the past 10 months taking care of him every day, bathing him, grooming him for hours by hand, all because Cash had gotten fleas from this place. It was a nightmare. Brandon cares about animals but to an extent that is unhealthy and makes him an absolutely condemning and judgmental person to work with. He takes it as a personal offense that Cash could have gotten fleas from his business even though that's what happened. I acknowledge the slight possibility that Cash could have gotten fleas extremely coincidentally at the same exact time but this is very doubtful as I am very close to the dog and noticed them almost immediately after his nails were trimmed here. Also, he's hardly around other animals and they have half a dozen dogs come through there every day. Just makes sense honestly. When trying to explain the situation on the phone, I was condemned for being a poor dog parent unworthy of their time or to be worked with and then had the phone hung up on me twice. I decided to go in person as sometimes that is easier for people to humanize others and communicate in a kinder manner. I was met with the same pride, arrogance, and judgement from Brandon and he shooed me out of the store. Would have loved to just discuss this as two people who both care for the same dog, but that's not possible with this bunch. In the animal world, Brandon and his mother are saints and all others are sinners worthy of disgust and judgement. Your dog might be well taken care of here but if the treats you use aren't absolute top tier or if you miss a month of grooming, you will be laughed at and scorned. Very sickening to have had this whole experience with them and wouldn't wish it on anyone. I sure hope they can learn someday to have as much love and compassion for humans as they supposedly do for animals. read more

I got into a car accident so I couldn't make the appointment to bring my dog in and I called the day of, to let them know. A few weeks later after I recovered, I called again to make another appointment for my dog so they told me I had to pay for the entire missed appointment in full in order to bring my dog again.
