I needed them and used them last year when I was traveling on November 5, 2019 My starter went and I was stuck in the Walmart parking lot in Fredericksburg Virginia. I commented them and they were out within the hour with their flatbed truck to tow me to a repair garage. The owner Jay had his daughter with him helping him out. They were extremely professional & helpful. Jay also tried a technique to get my starter going but it unfortunately didn't work. It was worth a shot. They towed it and dropped it off at a local garage that I had set up for them to install a new starter the following day. Jay and his daughter were so caring & friendly and couldn't have been any more helpful with the situation I was dealing with being hundreds of miles away from home with a non running vehicle. After we dropped my vehicle off at the garage they were so kind to also give me a short ride and drop me off at a close by hotel I set up to stay overnight. I cannot thank them enough for doing so much. I obviously gave them a well deserved tip. It was well warranted. They didn't ask at all for any tip. It was and is, just the right thing to do regarding these circumstances and the helpfulness of the individuals. I like to reward very good or stellar service with a tip. That's a normal thing for me. They were going to install a new alternator in my vehicle and advised that they would let me know if I needed a new tensioner once they inspected it. After inspection they said a new tensioner was needed and it would be 3 hours labor for a total of $576. I called 2 other places (including a dealer) and they both said if you are replacing the alternator there really was no additional labor to replace the tensioner pulley as it only has 2 bolts. I actually called Macs back and discussed this with them and they wouldn't budge off their price. Long story short I took it to another shop (pretty big outfit) and saved $475 (This was the Troy Location)

These people are the worst…read more I was in a hospital 4 hours away. Over 7 days, I called them twice to let the car be picked up by a friend. They told me not unless the friend had my i.d., which they couldn't get, me being 4 hours away. On the 7th day, I got the body shop to request it. They so enjoyed charging: $595 ($85 x 7,) they gruffed that it was all my fault: "I had alcohol in the back seat in a cooler." Then, hung up on me. Rude, ridiculous, unrepentant. Worse than worst.
