Although in new digs, the decor evokes the ambience of the original Shack, resulting in an interesting, funky place to enjoy their food. This time I had the mushroom burger with sweet potato fries, and the large serving of angus beef did not disappoint. Given that businesses often offer free drinks to employees and that purchasing a large syrup container wouldn't significantly impact inventory, this restriction seemed unreasonable. Furthermore, the 'do not use' signs on the customer-side fountains were a barrier, even if I could have technically mixed the drinks myself. I requested to speak with the Manager-on-Duty, but they refused a face-to-face conversation and maintained the denial. When I mentioned contacting corporate, the cashier acknowledged my right to do so. If I ever done that at my job as a cashier or management I would have been written up or fired for not taking care of the customer. This experience was highly unsatisfactory. I am unlikely to return to this location and may consider patronizing competitors instead.
