The sites are indeed close together but we have stayed in even cozier. Did not use the laundry or restrooms so cannot comment. The place was quiet and exactly what we needed for exploring Yellowstone. No problems whatsoever. read more

I'll start with the positives: - Extremely close to west entrance of Yellowstone - WiFi worked 90% of the time Now for the negatives: - Old, outdated everything within the bathroom - bathroom stall doors that won't close - shower stall doors that won't close - Cold restroom with a non-functioning wall heater - Cold water showers (brrr....) - please bring your slippers with you to shower in (dirty, gross floors. Don't get caught standing barefoot in there) - Non-existent water pressure coming from shower head (think a steady trickle or violent mist is all you get) - Remember to bring your own toilet paper with you (I'm serious folks!) - tight spaces (you are right up on your neighbors) I really tried to not let this place ruin our wonderfully, amazing experience in Yellowstone National Park. Great location for Yellowstone National Park minutes from the entrance. Campground is VERY small and it was VERY difficult to park our 5th wheel. There is no map of the campground on the website and the site descriptions are not clear. Pictures posted on campground are NPT from Wagon Wheel campground. There is no river nearby Took us several tries to get in between the trees and other parked RVs. The bathrooms / showers were closed If I stayed here again I would select a pull through or street side site We were in #12 and it would be best for a small motorbike. Incredible service. We pulled in late at night without reservations, needed a space to stay after no luck in Yellowstone NP. We stayed here before so decided to give it this place a try again. On the office door was a phone number. Doubtful as it was 10pm at night we called and to my surprise someone actually answered! They got us a spot and set us up with fast WiFi. Very friendly host greeted me at the office. In fact, we later saw him around the property making sure everybody was doing okay and taking care of things. Showers were pretty nice. They also have a game room building with a pool table and some arcade games. Sites are close to each other but surprisingly didnt feel like it because of some trees. Close to town for shopping and dining. A little pricey at $50+ but you are paying extra because often the popularity of the area. read more

We reserved our RV spot here back in January of 2021. Told them we had a 43 foot toy hauler and we needed 50 amp. Put down half of the total which was $353.00 for 4 nights. When we checked in, the managers had to move their class C from what they called our pull through spot. The only thing I can say it was a pull through. It was so narrow that we would have walked right into the office wall off of our steps. Plus it was only a 30amp electrical service. I contacted the managers and told them this was not going to work and did they have another spot that was better. They said the lark was totally full for the dates we were there. I asked him if he could move a smaller trailer into our spot and give us a larger spot. He told me no, it was to hard. After going round and round for several minutes I told him I wanted a refund due to the fact they were not able to provide a usable space. He told me I could fit. He eventually gave me a full refund. I would not refine t this park except for small trailers or truck campers. read more

My mom planned a massive 3 week long trailer trip this summer. Staying at this campground was easily the highlight. The bathrooms are in GREAT condition, the main road of West Yellowstone is within walking distance, and the West Entrance to Yellowstone is at your front door! When we first got to this Campground, the manager met us outside our car and welcomed us. Then he took us inside the office and took out a printed map of the campground, marking where we would be camping, where the bathrooms, laundry, and dumpsters were. He also showed us where the game room and Pet Area was. Finally, on the back of the page, there was a map of West Yellowstone! The Key showed where supermarkets were, where gas stations were, anything we'd need. He also recommended a pizza place for dinner that night. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about the customer service. Every time we saw him, he'd say hello and ask how our stay was, if there was anything we needed. If you're staying in West Yellowstone or anywhere near it, this is the place to go! read more

Certainly not the best RV park my family and I have been to. When we got in today has we were un-hitching our trailer we had another camper who had just arrived shortly before we did, ask if our water connections at our site were working, we hadn't quite gotten everything hooked up yet so we just went over to check the spigot and we too did not have any water. Once we finally found the manager we were then told that not only was the water not working but neither were the sewer connections at our site. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because of the location; it is very close to town and the west entrance of the national park. Would only stay here again as a last resort. Make sure to plan ahead so you don't get stuck in this place. read more

We stayed 3 nights in mid-September 2019. With all the available senior discounts, we still paid way too much! The day we left we spotted "Grizzly Bear RV Park" which is just as close to the west entrance to Yellowstone as Wagon Wheel and looks WAY NICER for only a bit more money. First problem, first night, the women's bathroom was locked and camp personnel had left for the night. OUCH. 2nd problem, women's bathroom was still locked; Phillips 66 is 3 blocks away. 3rd problem, couldn't leave a message on office phone to alleviate problems 1 and 2. 4th, sites are tiny and we only had a 19' van!!!! Bathrooms are only somewhat clean. Showers are unwelcoming. We skipped them! Men's room has one broken toilet. Go to any other place you can afford. read more

This trailer park is not run well at all. Only thing good about it is it has hookups. Bathrooms and showers were disgusting. Did not have toilet paper or paper towels. There was mold in both the men and womens showers, and some of them weren't even working. People were loud past 10 pm when the RV park gives out specific rules on their brochures that there should not be disturbing noises after 10pm til 8 am. There is literally no one running this park. I would seriously skip this RV park if you have large trailers. Especially, if you want to packed into the park like a sardine. read more

Terrible scenery unless you like looking at another camper pooper. Small , very small . Spaces felt sooooo crowded. No where for dogs to go. It's right across the street from a church and the main road in town. Bad WiFi .. stayed 4 days unfortunately. Only nice thing is was very close to park. All but one washer was broken so couldn't do two loads laundry at same time. Although..they do have a really nice industrial dryer which was fast and nice. Never spent time in game room. If it's just somewhere to get sleep it's not bad just kinda expensive for that . read more

We have been to Yellowstone National Park four times, and this is the sweetest little spot we've found to park our little tent trailer! Ken greeted us after our all night drive from Seattle, and after helping us park our rig and camper -- he gave us a tour and checked us in. This is a great little place! It's right in town, but there are trees, and it's peaceful and quiet. The bathrooms and showers are squeaky clean, and the boys loved the game room! It was the Fourth of July, and we had a great view of the town's awesome fireworks' display. Our family loves Yellowstone, and you are only minutes away from the West Entrance! Best of all, Ken is a delightful and knowledgable host who will make you feel completely welcome and at home. We can't wait to go back! Put us down for next July Fourth, Mr. Ken! Different owners! Worse campground experience ever! Owners are very rude and unethical! Please read prior to reserving your spot. Also, pictures don't look anything like reality. And there is no pool table. Reserved 4 sites 8-9 in advance. When we arrived 2 of our prepaid sites were given away. They scrambled to find us other sites. The sites were so small only one could open their awning. The rest of us barely got our slide outs open. One couple had an emergency and had to get to a hospital in another state ASAP Wagon Wheel not only refused to refund their money they resented their prepaid site to two other campers. Talk about double dipping! Sites are extremely small and park has not been maintained. Garbage overflowing (great fir bears). You have to walk through other people's sites to get to bathrooms/showers. Some power box are held together with electrical tape. read more

It's a bit run down. But it seems to be safe. My granddaughters and I used their showers.. their dark, a stall had tile blocks missing on the wall. It took awhile for water to heat up. All the floor tile could use some major grout cleaning. It's 3 out 5 stars for me. Cable is good, wifi did ok as well. read more

This is my first negative review of basically anything - everyone's experience is so different and personal that I've refrained. But, this time I'm going to do it. Wagon Wheel sandwiches you in there like cordwood. Barely any spot left for the teeny tiny table they provide you. We had a Class A HUGE motorhome back in behind us about 2 1/2 feet from our rig. We also had 2 other rigs on one side, and 2 on the other. The bathroom & shower probably used to be great - showers a little smallish, but with a big, wide counter to put on makeup/whatever, and a full length mirror. But, it is very shabby. Peeling paint, mold in between the tiles, nasty little wet rugs outside each shower, racks in the showers with peeling paint and rust. There's a non-functional light in the women's area that's just been left there with the functional light installed underneath it. Also, there is no security for restroom/shower access. Literally anyone could get in. The WIFI only works sometimes. So, save your money and go somewhere else - there are several choices in West Yellowstone. read more

We stayed in cabin 4, a small one bedroom, one bath manufactured log cabin. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor gas BBQ. Ken who owns the property is VERY helpful and MOST accommodating. He made sure we were comfortable and offered many great suggestions about local restaurants, activities and Yellowstone. Our friends stayed in cabin 5, which is slightly larger. Both cabins 4 and 5 are close together, so we were able to picnic together under the pine trees and then retire to our own beds. Ms. Betty and her husband clean the cabins and BBQ grills daily. The level of detail they provide is above the standards of even the pickiest of house guests. Even the salt and pepper shakers are wiped down daily. We rode our bikes around town, checked out Hibernation Station and the other KOA type cabins and came back to Wagon Wheel knowing we made the right choice with our little haven under the pine trees.
