I needed a specific part that only Grady White could supply. An OEM mounting bracket for a new trolling motor install on my 191 Coastal Explorer. I delayed and procrastinated partly due to my travels and partly due to me wanting the best possible solution for mounting a trolling motor on my boat. Brady was patient and communicated with me every time I reach out whether it was email or phone call. He was always there and patient with me. Oh, and he even worked with me on the MSRP of the part offering a best price discount. I know there are a lot of choices out there for parts and I will recommend this dealer. Marina Manager's communication is lacking and unprofessional. They jack up your rates without…read morenotice; continue to make rules so that they can gouge you for more money. The most recent is you cannot use outside contractors for maintenance on your boat. We left the marina before that one was implemented and regret not having done so much sooner. They know slip availability is hard to find since last year's hurricane and are taking full advantage of customers. Nancy is their only asset.

The dock crew is extremely professional at all times and Jason clearly manages the dock activities very well. I've seen several Credit Card Captains come rolling in there and treat them like slave labor and they have continually stayed professional. The parts department (Rachael), service coordinator (Mandy), and Office Manager (Billi Jo) always stand out as customer friendly. I have 110% confidence in Greg if I need electronics installed or repaired. I was concerned about service labor rates when Legendary took over. However, the service dept seems very conscientious about how many hours are charged and my service cost has remained relatively the same since I've been there.

They charged insurance company for work they didn't perform and also us. Charged over $200 just to clean battery terminals that were charged for first time and didn't do We put boat in water and almost sunk. One gentleman was nice enough to drive me around looking for an outboard motor when I needed a ride, and the management helped work out a fair compromised rate when we realized we had to stay for longer than we planned as we did necessary work on the motor. Speaking of doing work on the boat, there are a number of very useful professional metal fabricators, a canvas shop, and expert diesel mechanics within a few minutes walk. Grocery stores are within a mile or so, as are Tippy's Tavern, West Marine (closing this month unfortunately), and theres another restaurant called The Oarhouse five minutes away by dinghy. Pelican's Perch was a GREAT find for us, and I very highly recommend it for anyone on a budget needing to do work on their boat.

What separates this marina from others is…read morethat although it is no longer family run, ( a family member is still part owner) the service offered is very much like a family run marina. The long term staff especially are knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful. The younger temporary help are always respectful. When I could not lift a heavy Rhodan unit on and off my boat for repairs, the young guys pitched in with no complaints.
