Clean, quiet park. Easy access for big rigs right off the interstate. Reasonable rate. Dog friendly.

After spending three nights here to rest while on the way to the Oregon coast in our motorhome, I'm a bit surprised at the 5 star reviews. The Park isn't bad: lots are level, hook-ups work OK, roads are wide enough to move through the Park, there is enough room to park your tow vehicle although it's close. Spaces are tight for a bigger rig. You can put slides out but you'll need to park carefully so they be extended fully since trees are very close to the rig. The Park itself looks tired and run down. There are a number of residents living here in either RVs or mobile homes and many of the structures and yards just aren't in very good shape, with a lot of junk laying around. This seems like an OK place to stay for an overnight, but it isn't where I would go if visiting the area for any length of time. read more

When you read the reviews on Yelp, it must be from the people that live here. Yes, there are at least 25 to 35 long term, as in forever tenants. This is a trailer park with about 20 reservable spots. The map may show 50+, but many of those are taken up by tenants, not overnight RVers. Upon check in, I was greeted by a lady, she was cordial, but she was scatter-braied, or she was in a hurry to get out of the office at 3pm. I asked if she could tell me what the last 4 digits of my credit card that I paid with. She started digging through a booking journal, lost! She got frustrated because she wanted to leave. She couldn't find my entry but she gave my packet that showed paid in full. My spot was within 50 yards of the office, but she wanted to have me follow her to the spot. The spaces are small. You get a very small picnic bench. It has FHU, there is a small dog area that hasn't been mowed in months. They say they serve popcorn after 2pm, it was 3pm when we checked in and the popcorn machine had 10 kernels in it. Overall, it is a 1+, nowhere near a 4.5 that the YELP shows. See photos. Really well kept. Rates are reasonable. Bathrooms are very clean. Showers work well. Sites are roomy and gravel. Shade trees are plentiful and branches trimmed for coach to fit easily. read more

Stopped because of the reviews- not disappointed! Staff was friendly and helpful the sites are shaded with beautiful trees and very level. Hookups are in great shape and there is cable at each site. Quiet and serene. The prices were great for Cali. Bathrooms extremely clean. They even have a reward card - stay 5 nights ( doesn't have to be consecutive) and night #6 is free. These folks work hard for 5 star reviews and it shows. Really glad we stopped here - would stay again for sure. read more

Nice, clean, well-maintained park. Spots fit your trailer and car but not much else so no room to lay out a mat and put your chairs out here. Gravel spots that are mostly level though there are some root bumps that you have to work around. Nice shade in each spot and it's a quiet park outside of the speedway that is right next door so that will get VERY loud but it ended at 9 so it wasn't terrible but if you've got little ones with a bedtime.... I feel for you. Lastly, the only grocery store open on a Sunday in town is Raley's. If you are someone that believes COVID is real and would appreciate other humans being respectful and wear a mask while in enclosed spaces... shop elsewhere, drive further, stop before getting here etc etc etc. (although, I've watched people in this park in and out of the restrooms sans mask as well but I don't care since I'm not going in) read more

We called the office a little before 8pm asking if they had any availability that night. The office was closing, but Stacy was so helpful and accommodating on the phone. She talked us through directions, site number, and since we were leaving before the office opened in the morning, she let us pay for our night over the phone. Park is clean and quiet. Gravel sites with FHU plus Cable and free Wifi. LOTS of nice shade trees and pullthru site that accommodated our 40' Class A plus toad. Older park with RV spaces in the front separated from mobile homes in the back on a large property. Clean and so quiet, and about 10 degrees cooler than Redding or Red Bluff. Also small grassy dog park area, nice small grassy tent area near office, pay laundry and showers and propane available. Friendly staff. Looks like nearby Red Rock Casino offers shuttle pickup with a phone call. We may try that next time to catch some dinner after a long drive. Would stay here again. read more

This is a wonderful Good Sam Park. Meticulous. The spaces are gravel and level. There is plenty of space. Restrooms are step above. If you have dogs this park is beyond dog friendly. A clean fenced in area with grass and bark mulch and even tires to pee on. Seriously so cool. Places to walk. Close to the casino if that is your thing. The folks that provide service are friendly and put derive first. Special rates for veterans and active service members. Such a great surprise. Highly recommend. read more

Great spot to stop on our way south. Price was right for a full service hookup, and the popcorn was a delightful customer service idea. This may not be a destination for you for extended stay, and certainly not without a tow vehicle, but it was just right for an overnighter. there is a casino nearby that has not yet opened, and frankly, doesn't look ready to open, but that may change the character of this place if and when it does. One more thing, and this was odd: this place had THE BEST internet connection we have yet encountered in an RV park. They even bragged about it, and rightly so! read more

We stayed here in our 5th wheel trailer for 2 nights in early August 2016. It is not a destination RV camp, but if you are looking for a great place to spend 1 or 2 nights to rest up.... perfect! EASY to find from the freeway, easy on & off. Easy pull thru spots. Simple hook ups. Nice picnic table and most spots have a nice big tree. The laundry room was clean and everything worked. Bathrooms & showers were well lit and very clean. The STAFF were ALL amazing, friendly, helpful and they deliver afternoon popcorn! After driving 7 hrs. we stayed for 2 nights. I loved riding my bike all around the quiet street they are off of! Lots of stores and fast foods are within a 5 min. drive. We could barely hear the freeway at night, but it was not that close so it didn't bother us. They are with Good Sam and offer their discount. We would go back. read more

Had a one night stay on our way back to So Cal and chose this place based on excellent Good Sam Club ratings. It was so nice to pull in after a long drive and be greeted by Rick who was so kind and welcoming. The space was level, clean and all the hookups worked well. Very convenient as it is just off the 5 fwy, yet, we didn't hear any freeway noise at night. Highly recommend. And...you get popcorn when you arrive! read more

This was the fourth straight year that I stopped here on my way from the Bay Area to Oregon. This park is managed by extremely friendly, knowledgeable staff and has full hookups. It also features a free shuttle to the nearby casino, if you are so inclined. But it's the service that makes this park a cut above the others. For example, I needed a different TV connection and went to the office to see if they had one. Rick came up with not only an extra cable, but two adapter jacks to complete the hookup. Have pets? There are a couple of dog parks on the premises along with clean showers. This is a jewel! read more

My husband and I were in transition from selling our house and waiting for our new home. We chose Waiiaka Rv Park. We have been staying here for little over a year, It has been a wonderful place to live the owners Rick, Stacey, and Trish have been so awesome to us, We are so grateful to them and to our neighbors we had for the time we have been here. They have been more like family to us, just AWESOME. Now its time to move on to Oregon and I will miss them terribly. I can recommend Waiiaka with no reservation nothing but love felt here. This park is exceptionally clean. The laundry room is spotless and all machines work well. The managers of the park are good, friendly people. They go out of their way to help in any way that they can. The new dog park is great. My dogs love rolling in the grass. I almost could not get them out of there. We stayed here in a 40ft 5th wheel. We had plenty of space on our site. Anytime that we are in the neighborhood, we will definitely stay here. Oh yeah, when you arrive, they give you a bag of popcorn. read more

We stayed here last night while passing through. Extremely friendly staff and easy to make reservations over the phone. Clean restrooms and inexpensive pay showers. Small play area for children. Dog park for those traveling with their furry family. Pull through sites a tad small and not much grass. Mostly asphalt and gravel. Tree lined sites , however not yet blooming so I imagine the sites to be more picturesque when trees in full bloom. We probably would stay here again when passing through. read more

What a great place!! Office Staff are wonderful & even bring you fresh popcorn in the evening!! We had a 50 amp site & we have a 36' fifth wheel. Plenty of room for fw & truck. Nice table at site. New pet area that is fully fenced & has grass also. Lots of trees that make it nice & shaded!! Great wifi that is awesome!! Laundry facilities & showers on site. We will stay here again. New Indian Casino is close & should be finished by Spring 2018. Right off on Interstate 5 & close to shopping! read more

We stayed at the Waiiaka RV Park on the third night of our RV road trip, and third night ever in an RV. We first swung by the other main RV park in Yreka but saw a total lack of shade or trees on that site, so we tried this one out instead and it looked more inviting. We got a nice site under some shade, and close to the bathrooms/showers. Facilities were clean and usable, though the showers were $.25, and we opted to not use those. The popcorn distribution at the evening was a cute touch. Dog friendly - though there was no actual dog park, we were pointed towards the fairgrounds just next door and said a lot of people use that field to exercise their dogs. We did so gladly, and our young labrador loved the field both in the evening then the next morning. As we were packing up to leave, some maintenance guy started using a leaf blower right next to us, creating a huge cloud of dust. I had to quickly bring my dog inside and shut all the windows to avoid getting the dust inside. Not a cool way to end our stay. But overall, the place was small, with plenty of shade trees, and friendly people. read more

Very nice, level sites. Bathrooms /showers are clean and the park is kept up quite nicely. Wi-Fi is free and works great. It is across the street from the 5 but it is still quiet. Lots of stores and shops only minutes away. They make it very easy to find your spot for those of us not coming in during regular hours. We stopped here for a night during travel. It was easy to get to, the people were friendly and our site was an easy pull through. We didn't know until just before 10PM that we were very close to a dirt track speedway. It was SO loud. I would check their schedule before staying here again. read more

A great place to stay. The new owners have really cleaned up this campground. My only problems was the Wifi was weak and our connection kept going in and out. There were also a few ants that the new owners needed to take care of. It was nice to park under the trees and shade. We will definitely be back if these owners continue the improvements that they have started. read more

This was our first RV experience and the owners were great! They were friendly and always more than willing to assist in any way possible. The entire park (bathrooms, laundry facility, the new fenced in dog park, etc.) was kept very clean. You also won't find many parks with such mature trees at every site, which is perfect for those hot sunny summers, but also have a couple without for those who really want to set up their satellite dish. (Is your satellite dish really that important when you are camping?) After visiting other parks now, I took for granted how level their sites were and how reasonable the propane fill ups were too. We were having problems with our truck that was pulling our 5th wheel. This park was close by to where we had to pull over. The couple in the office were very nice to accommodate us with a space. They also referred us to a reputable mechanic who was able to look at our truck. The park is a nice shaded park which is nice during these warm summer days. Easy in and out. Reasonable rates. Nice shower and laundry facilities. My wife and I would highly recommend Waiiaka RV Park. read more

This RV Park is one of the best we have stayed at on our two months of traveling. It's clean, all sites are shaded, easy access and level. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. They even brought popcorn to our motor home after we got all set up. They have great wifi here and we can actually get it in our motor home. We would stay here again and again. I suggest if your traveling up highway 5 it's a must stay. read more
