When you read the reviews on Yelp, it must be from the people that live here. Yes, there are at least 25 to 35 long term, as in forever tenants. This is a trailer park with about 20 reservable spots. The map may show 50+, but many of those are taken up by tenants, not overnight RVers. Upon check in, I was greeted by a lady, she was cordial, but she was scatter-braied, or she was in a hurry to get out of the office at 3pm. I asked if she could tell me what the last 4 digits of my credit card that I paid with. She started digging through a booking journal, lost! She got frustrated because she wanted to leave. She couldn't find my entry but she gave my packet that showed paid in full. My spot was within 50 yards of the office, but she wanted to have me follow her to the spot. The spaces are small. You get a very small picnic bench. It has FHU, there is a small dog area that hasn't been mowed in months. They say they serve popcorn after 2pm, it was 3pm when we checked in and the popcorn machine had 10 kernels in it. Overall, it is a 1+, nowhere near a 4.5 that the YELP shows. See photos. Someplace are rundown and trashy. I will try the other trailer park next time.

    Nice level, pull thru's.

Perfect RV park. Easy to check-in. Trish was extremely helpful. Really quiet, and close to gas stations, fast food and Walmart.

Stopped because of the reviews- not disappointed! Staff was friendly and helpful the sites are shaded with beautiful trees and very level. Hookups are in great shape and there is cable at each site. Quiet and serene. The prices were great for Cali. Bathrooms extremely clean. They even have a reward card - stay 5 nights ( doesn't have to be consecutive) and night #6 is free. These folks work hard for 5 star reviews and it shows. Really glad we stopped here - would stay again for sure.

One row of RV sites - Love the shade trees!

When we checked the new management said that they had no record of the reservation or payment. Checked our bank statement and couldn't find a record of payment. They did have a pull-through site for our 42' 5th wheel, however the site had overhanging branches the would not clear the top of our rig. Called the office and asked if the branches could be trimmed, or could they move us to another vacant pull- through site that were vacant close to our site. The front office lady went "ballistic" at that suggestion, and told us to get out of the park. However, the laneways were very narrow, and RVers parked front and back from our site were parked in the laneways. We asked those folks if perhaps they move their vehicles for a moment - basically told us to get lost. Fortunately with patience and help from some nice folks, we were able to extricate ourselves from the site . Took us about an hour to get out of the site, and found a nice hotel nearby. In discussion with several of the nice folks who helped us shared that they were literally scared of the managers, and that our experience was not unusual for the park. Be forewarned that not only us, but others have been horribly treated by this management.

We were a bit worried by the road there (lots of fair sized holes) and the weather (California was experiencing a bad heat wave, and it was 105 here), and considered only staying one of our two nights. So so glad we stayed both nights. The wild horses were hanging out the whole time, and much of it in front of our trailer. I'm sure the heat drove them down to the river and tasty lawn. We also saw the blue heron, bats, and two river otters! Baby bird above the men's bathroom. Lots to see and enjoy. This place is pristine and quiet. We'd just come from a gross Thousand Trails and a loud state park. Coming here with the clean (and air conditioned!!) bathrooms and showers was lovely. The hosts were so nice. And it just felt quiet and relaxing, only punctuated by territorial stallions making a fuss. Nice additions are the giant shaded area with picnics tables and Adirondack chairs to hang out in- our space didn't have a tree so the shaded option was much appreciated. This is a way away from us, but we hope to come back and spend more time here. Also- shoutout to the hosts who spend a lot of time cleaning up horse poop to keep the roads clean for us!

My husband and I took advantage of the Pond House, a small two person cabin right on the pond where we got married, which became our honeymoon suite. Many of my out of town guests brought up their tents and camped. They had access to a clean restroom and showers the whole time. I believe there's an option to bring RVs as well. This place was a total gem and I'm SO glad I found it! (Thank you Yelp!)…read more We had originally planned to stay in the Redwoods over the weekend, but nowhere was open due to covid-19. Then I remembered the beautiful Scenic Highway (CA-96) "Bigfoot Scenic Byway" - boasting the most Bigfoot sightings - connecting the coast to the I-5 in far-northern California. I've always wanted to drive it, so I figured I'd check to see if there were any camping options along the route, and I came across Bigfoot RV Park & Cabins in this quaint little town called Happy Camp. Since they are a private property, they were still able to be open during this covid craziness, and they did a great job with making sure things were clean and social distancing was practiced. We happened to be the only ones "tent camping" as others had RV's or cabins booked. The area for tent camping is a little courtyard that has chairs, a bonfire area, and it's right next to a very clean and well-kept bathroom, shower, and laundry room. The camping courtyard is a bit small and probably wouldn't fit too many tents if people want their space, but again I think most people are there for RV's and cabins. My favorite things about this place were a) the location - "Happy Camp" is such a cute little town along the Klamath River, so you can walk a short distance and be right in the middle of tall trees and rolling rivers... b) the owners who were very down-to-earth and made it feel like everyone there is family, and c) the overall vibe. It doesn't feel like you're in California or Oregon for that matter; it's its own little piece of the Klamath River. If you find yourself in Northern California or Southern Oregon looking for a gorgeous little getaway, I highly recommend it here!
