Beautiful 22 acre property! Gorgeous ocean views! Self parking and valet parking available. Upon arrival, we were greeted with leis and a welcome tropical drink. They have free cultural activities-- we attended hula dance lesson and lei making worksop-- both fun! Would have liked to check out the ukulele lesson! There's free rental of tommy bahama beach chairs which was very helpful. There is first come first serve for beach loungers with umbrella-- but on a holiday weekend these were basically impossible to get. People lined up at 7am so they were sold out by 820am. You can get on a wait list, but of course we'd get called at 230pm when its too hot for me to sit on the beach personally. The pools-- there are at least 4! One is by reservation only. One has the adventure slides (lots of fun!), one family friendly infinity pool with live music/DJ, and one adults only infinity pool. Very nice views from the pools and well staffed, well landscaped and equipped with towels, loungers, cabanas is you want to $$, sunscreen. We thoroughly enjoyed the adults only infinity pool- serene and amazing views. Our Ocean View room was a treat, we loved sitting on the patio enjoying the ocean views & music. The bed was comfortable and I was able to get extra pillows upon request. The shower was lovely and bathroom was roomy. The shower gel didn't sud or foam much so it was hard to scrub off sunscreen each day. Staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the artisan stands in the lobby area, which had unique items and I purchased several. The property itself is walking distance from the shops at Wailea, good for high-end shopping. Kihei is only 10-15 minutes away or more diverse food options and the airport is only about 30 minutes away in Kahului. Kaanapali is 50min away, Lahaina 45min away.

Wailea Beach Resort is such a special place. We got married here on April 13. Their staff is so kind and communicative and took care of everything for us. Thank you to our wedding coordinator, Elena, for taking care of everything for our elopement and ensuring that everything ran smoothly down to the small details like fashion tape for my lei. The grounds are so well kept and stunning, the rooms are clean and our housekeeper found cute ways to add special touches to our clean. The lobby bar staff is hilarious and makes a dang good cocktail as well. Overall we had the best time and are dreaming of our next trip here. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Yes the resort is old but we are willing to overlook a few issues for the amazing location and accommodations that the Wailea Beach resort has to offer. We were in room 4410 with a layered deck with a great sunset view and the serenity pool in front of us. A+++ to the entire resort staff for an unforgettable adventure.

Got there kinda late at night because we stopped and ate dinner before we checked in . We must have been lucky because they upgraded us to a suite not having any rooms available that we had reserved. This is great customer service from a hotel!! Our room had a couch, dining table, bath and a half and a tub shower combo and a fire pit outside!! Had the Costco package and breakfast was included, it was a buffet style and just fine for starting us out in the morning. The resort had lots of pools and was in between two beaches, so we were always hanging out at either a beach or pool. There are a lot of stairs here. We like that we could go down to the one beach and there were beach chairs provided there from the hotel, I you got there early enough. We never ate on property except for breakfast so we can't comment on the other restaurants. Want to visit again sometime. PS-We saw the biggest, fastest spider on our patio at night, decided to only go out there during the day after that.

Located on Wailea, Maui, HI. It is a beachfront property! I stayed for for 2 nights of my 6 night stay in February 2026. I really enjoyed my stay here due to a conference in mid February. Tips: to solidify a beach chair at Infinity pool, you need to show up between 7:00-8:00am, and grab the seat with a towel, but best to leave behind a water bottle, sunblock, a beach bag or jacket. The chair snatching competition is hot. Pros: - beachfront with caveat (Wailea Beach with umbrella chairs for this hotel is a 7 or 8 minute walk south), - Infinity pools - there is adult only one and a kids infinity pool, if you like to lounge at the pool for 6 hours, here is the spot - Gym - it's really great - Lots of free activities: yoga or pilates on the grass with ocean view, scuba class, lei making, hula dancing, learn ukelele, etc. Book it online at the same link as paid activities on next bullet. - lots of other activities for cost: outrigger canoe, stand up paddle boarding, etc. book it at https://waileabeachresort.247activities.com - the resort was so large that not many of the properties have ocean view - friendly, hospitable staff - bed and blankets were comfy, room was clean, mini fridge, large closet, nice hand soap - there is an arcade with old style video games for the kids Cons: - pricey, but if you have the cash...no big deal. At peak season, cost is $800 per night - pay for parking $30 - long line for check in at peak season if if there is conference, come early - no free coffee, buy from Starbucks or other restaurants on site - no day pass for spa, need to buy services like facial or massage - this hotel is kid friendly, but I feel like it is more kid friendly at the Fairmont Kea Lani next door. If you have Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite, you will be given a lei, mai tai at check in and priority for rooms. It was a wonderful experience and I hope to be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Wailea Beach resort. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to an oceanfront view due to my husband's Marriott status. We were obsessed with the view and love spending time on our lanai. We took advantage of the beach the first day. It's a little bit of a walk down there, but we went after lunch and we were able to snag to beach chairs right away. Other than that, we loved the adult pool. They do enforce it so there are no kids there. They give out little snacks in the morning and some ice cream in the afternoon. Food is just OK. We did not try the restaurants at the hotel. It is so close to island gourmet market and so many great restaurants in the shopping center that we mostly ate out or got some food to eat on our lanai.

The hotel sits on a rocky shoreline between Wailea & Ulua Beaches

Yes, it was pricey, but booking a package through Costco sure helped in that front. AND, our stay was absolutely perfect! From working with Natalie to request our just-right room (Thank you, Natalie; you are SO appreciated!) to the stunning grounds, fantastic amenities, delicious food, thoughtful activities, and great beach access/ocean views, we truly could not have asked for more. Housekeeping was top-notch--thank you! We watched countless whales from our balcony, and cherished every sunrise and sunset. This stay was the perfect way to experience a truly magical island! Of Note: The property is quite expansive, has lots of stairs due to the multi-level layout, and both nearby beaches require a short walk. We appreciated this gorgeous way to get more steps in, but for those with mobility challenges, it may get exhausting to venture out.

We came here for our strategic board planning. What a fantastic location. Once we approached the property, we are amazed with the gorgeous ocean view. The check in was welcoming and we were greeted with the leis and guava juice. They brought our luggage to our room. The room is nice and clean, pretty good size. The balcony has a swing for us to enjoy the view. The service was amazing. When we asked how to navigate to the lawn, the staff walked us there. The same when I asked where was the gym, the staff guided me there warmly even though it was before 6 in the morning. The swimming pools are nice and not too crowded. Plenty of seats to enjoy the forever changing ocean. There are tow restaurants onsite, the Kapa bar and grill and the Humble Kitchin. Both are fantastic. If I come back to Maui, I will definitely return and stay here. Very impressed with the hospitality of all the staff.

This hotel was part of the Amex FHR benefit. The staff was super friendly. The pools are a bit disjointed in that they're all separated. Our benefit came with a hotel credit but we could only use it at a handful of the restaurants. There is no direct beach access. There is an option for self parking. The resort offers lots of daily classes and events, which look fun but full of kids/families. Would be cool if they had some adult only classes.

MY KIDS LOVE THIS HOTEL! Stayed here for a week with my husband and two little ones under age 4 and we loved everything this resort had to offer. LOCATION 5/5: the resort is right on the ocean and we had our own beautiful beach that was not crowded with gentle waves. There's a nice outdoor shopping mall literally next door w/ restaurants like Ruth Chris Steak and Tommy Bahamas and the best ice cream store and luxury shopping like LV and Gucci. You don't need to rent a car everything is walkable. The hotel has a SHUTTLE SERVICE that can take you local places like the Monkeypod Restaurant which was delicious! CUSTOMER SERVICE 5/5: every employee from the valet, to the front desk, engineers who came to fix our AC, security and medic Ana who helped patch up my son when he got a boo boo and Frank the manager were all WONDERFUL!!! ROOMS 5/5: the beds were comfy, our first room had a balcony room with a table and two chairs where we ate overlooking the ocean. Then we switched to a lanai suite on the ground floor right in front of the pool which was great. We had two recliner loungers, a couch and a table on our deck it was NICE! We asked for a MICROWAVE and WATER KETTLE to cook in the room for the babies and they even brought us a DIAPER PAIL which wasn't even requested! I was super impressed with their thoughtfulness. FOOD 4/5: basic resort food breakfast buffet which was delicious but lacked Asian dishes and pricey. They have a PIZZA CART open every night which was fine but took a long time to make so order early they don't take phone orders. The pool bar food was also good the burgers were yum! There's a market on site that has ice creams, drinks, cup ramen, sandwiches, cereals etc. There's also a Starbucks! POOLS 5/5: I loooooved the family pool it had a huge section that was knee deep perfect for my one-year old to splash around. The slides looked fun. We also dipped into the infinity pool for families. The jacuzzi is small is my only complaint. There's a few adults only pools which looked nice and peaceful too! KIDS ACTIVITIES 5/5: this resort has an ARCADE GAME ROOM which was awesome! Ski ball, motorcycle riding game, street fighter etc all free! There's also a MOVIE THEATER for kids where they play 2 movies a day with free popcorn. They have a KIDS CENTER but it wasn't opened which was a bummer. LAUNDRY 2/5: for how huge this resort is I was shocked they only had 2 washer and 2 dryer in our section of the rooms. Luckily it was empty when I had to use it! Overall I highly recommend everyone to stay here at Wailea Beach Resort! Mahalo!

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Marriott Beach resort. We did a lot of research on the local resort options and after exploring the resort options, we are so happy we decided to go with the Marriott Beach resort. This resort is more affordable than some of the other options on the strip but the views are still incredible and they have everything you need. Multiple pools, a water slide, and lots of great restaurant and bar options on site. They are also walking distance to a few plazas and the other resorts so you can try different spots. We also love that they had access to two beaches on either side of the resort.

Absolutely love this place. Being an ambassador elite with Marriott, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unbelievable. I have to give special recognition to Zelie at the front desk, who really put in the extra effort to ensure we could have late check out, have an upgraded stay, and I really appreciated her attentiveness. We ended up staying at the four seasons the next day, and I felt that the service was not nearly as good there as it was at this resort. just seeing how they treated the other guests as well, I think that people would agree. I also think that the views are better at the Marriott than the four seasons, and better amenities at the spa here as well.

Ask the Community - Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui

What is the best spot to rent a cabana? Just myself and my husband. Is the whole cabana covered or is there a reserved spot to lay in sun?

I found there were many chairs with umbrellas or without. The only place I would rent would be the serenity pool. Which was scary quiet, and always filled.

Why all the water bottles distributed??? Why not a reverse osmosis machine in lobby?

I believe they are trying to minimize physical contact with shared devices (e.g. a water tap) due to Covid. The idea is you only touch the bottle you'll drink, rather than having cups and faucets that everyone touches.

Is this a kid friendly hotel? Traveling with a 3 and 5 year old.

Yes, there is a kids pool with smaller slides for the little ones, a game room, swinging chairs in the front and activities like lei making. There is an adults only pool and it is spread out but there's plenty to keep families busy. The beach is…

Hoping to book a oceanfront room. Any recommendations about which building to request? Thoughts on ground floor vs higher floor?

Are you allowed to bring your own food and beverages to the pool area? How about the beach area?

We brought our own snacks and drinks to the pool and beach every day we were there

Is there an "extra person fee" for kids in the room rate? I noticed a price difference when I looked for a reservation that included my 3 year old.

I recently stayed with my mom, wife and 1 year old. Added a pack and play. Booked under 1 person.…

Does the Marriott Wailea beach resort have beach chairs that you can use on the beach? If so how much do they cost? Thank you!

They will set chairs and umbrella out for you on the beaches at either side of the resort - when we were there, it was free.

We are headed to Maui in 2 weeks and we are staying here. Is there a wifi fee and a self parking fee?

$25 per day for self parking. $35 a day if you use valet. Wi-Fi is free.

Is this hotel great for toddlers? I'm thinking of staying here, Fairmont, or Grand Wailea.

This is a good resort but not sure if it's for toddlers . What are you specifically looking for in a resort ? They have a pool with a slide. A kids playroom with board games. Their luau is not bad. Nicely renovated with beautiful views from the…

From start to finish, our entire experience was absolutely wonderful. The hotel staff were all extremely kind and engaging, offering helpful tips and suggestions. We had nothing but positive interactions with the valet and the front desk. The staff that work at the on-site restaurants were also lovely. Our ocean view room was clean and spacious. It had all of the amenities we could hope for and the shower had wonderful water pressure. My only request would be that there was a shelf in the shower to put the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as we ended up having to put them on the floor and bending over in the shower while pregnant is not an easy task. The linens were soft and I appreciated the opportunity to earn food and beverage credit or Hilton reward points if we opted out of having our room cleaned each day. The blackout curtains in the room were also wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony each evening and listening to the live music that was performed each night down by the pool. There was ample pool space with plenty of pool chairs, both in the sun and in the shade. Access to the beach was extremely easy. While we were there, we also took part in morning yoga, access to the complementary aquatic activities, a sound bath under the full moon, and the infamous luau. I also booked a prenatal massage at the spa, which was absolutely divine. Access to the Courtesy Car to drop us off at nearby restaurants for reservations was extremely convenient. We appreciated the complementary reusable water bottles and the local snacks and beverages that were restocked in our mini bar. All in all, it was an absolute incredible stay and the next time we find ourselves in Maui, we will absolutely be returning to the Andaz.

When we went to the adult pool we were told by one employee that we needed to be on a waitlist. After 3 hours when we finally got notified that it was our turn and went back we noticed other guests just literally went and grabbed empty benches and staffs were just setting the benches up for them(no, they didn't even know there was a waitlist)... Our canoe experience at the last day of our stay got canceled due to high wind and the concierge never notified us etc. Many employees gave me the vibe that they don't really care. They just gave me fake smiles and robotic responses. Maybe Amond would take better care of us...if he is still alive... The view was very amazing. We even spotted whales many times.

This was such a great example of service. Amenities such as a shave kit, soaps, additional coffee pods were also provided throughout our stay. One thing that was not provided that was requested, however was a lint roller. This seems like a simple accommodation that should be available at a 5-star resort. The room was clean and had great views of the resort and ocean. A corporate event was being hosted on the property which had a fire dancing ceremony. We were able to watch this from our room which was pretty cool. The only issue with the room was some difficulties connecting to the TV and accessing YouTube and Disney+. We ended up giving up on using the TV and watched TV on our laptop. Overall this was a wonderful stay, but fell a little short of what a 5-star resort experience should be.

The biggest reason being that this is an adults only hotel. Upon doing my research of Maui, I figured that the south west side was probably going to be better for calmer waters and a more tranquil place for a relaxing vacation with my wife who is expecting. I am glad I chose Hotel Wailea rather than other hotels around the area including Grand Wailea or Four Seasons. Another reason is that I was able to book directly on their website and save some money on their insider rate (nonrefundable). I always try to book directly so that it benefits the hotel. It also benefits me because I was able to save 30% on the rate and got a few bonus perks. It was a little bit of a gamble due to the extreme weather that they had prior to coming, but luckily everything worked out and the weather was beautiful during my stay. Being a smaller hotel, I noticed more attention to detail and much better service than any other hotels that I have stayed at in the past. Upon coming to the hotel with my rental car, the valet service greeted us and took care of all our bags and showed us to the check in area. We were greeted with a flower lei for my wife and a kukui nut lei for me. The check in process took a few minutes to explain the layout of the hotel and details. We got a free valet parking since we stayed 5 days at the hotel and also got a $100 dining credit. I am glad we got the valet parking since I read that the parking spots can be tight and distant from everything. The valet took us to our stay with a golf cart loaded with our luggage. Upon entering our suite, there was a welcome gift including some chocolates and alcohol free champagne. The suite is filled with everything you need. They have a fridge stocked with soft drinks and sparkling water that is all complimentary. They also have bottles of water and you can request more. You are able to take beach chairs, umbrellas, parasol and towels to the beach. They have shuttle rides that can take you to nearby area up to a certain distance. They will also pick you up if you call them. The shower and bath had the best water pressure I've seen anywhere. The bathtub was huge and it actually filled relatively quickly. They have a TV in the bedroom and in the lounge area. The outdoor patio provided a really nice view towards the ocean, garden and sky. I stayed very close to the gym which was a huge plus. I was able to use it every morning and was the only one there every morning prior to sunrise. Working out pre-sunrise to sunrise in a open door setting was a great experience. They have some unique free weights that mimics a natural wood look. There is a row machine, a coupe of treadmills, elliptical and peloton for cardio. Other basic machines that uses a pulley and weight system are available. They have several yoga mats as well for any floor exercises. The pool area seemed busy during the day so I went after sunset mostly. The water is heated so it is very comfortable. There is a beautiful sunset view from the restaurant or from the birdcage. Depending on who you ask and what circumstances they have, it could vary what expensive is, but it is certainly not cheap or affordable here. You are paying for more than just a view here. The entire experience is curated for you. The staff here does a phenomenal job at keeping this property well-maintained and running. The restaurant and hotel has a premium price, but for a premium experience. There are other experiences here that you can book on their website or contacting the front desk. The front desk, housekeeping and valet were all so easy to contact with the phone in the room. We tried the in room dining once and although it took some time, it was a nice experience. Known for its tranquil adults-only atmosphere, attentive service, and luxurious amenities, Hotel Wailea offers a beautifully curated and premium Hawaiian getaway that is well worth the high price tag.

It's not for young families as no kids permitted, and not for sedentary seniors, steps walks and trails abound. What Hotel Wailea has is sublime serenity, impeccable hospitality and a way to exceed expectations at every turn. Our first night dinner was incredible from service, presentation, with use of local ingredients. Our room was a mini suite, quiet and comfortable without pretense. Initially I was concerned for lack of seats, poolside or equipment in the gym but there was never a shortage of simply anything. No need to reserve a prime seat at the pool, or get to the gym early, the minimum

There is a free shuttle that travels a mile radius of the hotel. We used it to go to the shopping center and went to the market to get prepared foods to take to the beach. We were going to use it for dinner but it holds 6. All you have to do is ask the front desk and call them when you want to be picked up. The pool was a great find. Very clean and well maintained. The breakfast is very nice and pretty standard self-serve. Good and plentiful. Again, the staff was helpful in getting little things for the family. For what it would cost at the Waldorf, one night there took care of three rooms at the Residence Inn. I'd definitely go back there again.

I initially planned on canceling our trip, but the hotel asked that we still come since they needed the business. I just didn't want to be in the way, but Lahaina is far away so we had no impact. It's a beautiful, huge resort with a great deal of amenities to include outdoor grills, basketball court, tennis courts, pool, etc. The onsite bar and restaurant is also very nice. It's in a great location near the center of Wailea and close to Kihei so it makes for easy travel. Love our stay here.

We had the standard room which was spacious enough for suitcases and they also had a lanai for us to get some fresh air. Bathroom was clean. Water pressure was strong. There's a couch which was perfect for us to just chill and watch tv. They give all residents water bottles and there're water machines on each floor for us to refill. Breakfast is minimal. Some cold cuts, whole apples and oranges (not even cut up fruits). There are a few hot dishes. They charge $30 per adult and $15 per keiki. We went to Kihei town for something much better at a fraction of the price. Pool area is nice. Many chairs with umbrellas. The view of the infinity pool is superb especially on sunny days. Overall I think it's a good hotel but still feel too basic considering you are paying over $400 a night.

If you still want to be close to the beach and everything in Wailea this is a great option without having to pay resort fees and deal with the overwhelm of crowds. The room pictures in other reviews are pretty accurate - the rooms are clean and I love how it's laminate wood floor and not carpet because house keeping mops the floors daily which is awesome since our kids kept tracking sand into the room. Also you get a 12.50 snack credit each day an could either get 2 free tickets for the Maui Ocean Center or 2 free AC Maui beach towels for free. We decided to take the two tickets which is at least a $120 value for 2 adults which is nice. On Wednesday / Fridays they also have live music which is nice. Overall we liked this hotel since I realize we just aren't ocean front resort people - it's just too busy and crazy for us. We loved how laid back this area was especially given how close and walkable it was to coffee shops, the mall, etc.
