Before I started care with Dr. Milham my left Knee was in constant pain and making walking harder to do. Since starting my treatment, I do not have the constant pain as before. I've injured my right knee three times. The first time in 1979 for an MCL tear I was put into a full length cast from top of ankle to top of thigh. Second time in 2018 I had a partial ACL tear, meniscus and MCL injury. Had arthroscopy surgery done, plus physical therapy and rehab took 10 months to recover. I was able to return to snow skiing 11 months after the injury. Third time in 2024 I twisted my knee on a slippery surface and weakened it. Dr. Bob did an x-ray and observed scar tissue and unevenness of my cartilage. Given my previous experience of knee injury 'solutions' and my goal to return to snow skiing in 6 months I chose the non-evasive solution that Dr. Rob recommended. After eight weeks of treatment I returned to my exercise routine that includes a downhill ski machine and body weight exercises. (vshred.com move program). I've been able to do any previous activities, hiking, biking, for the first time mountain biking at age 70, yard chores including raking, shoveling and even removing tree roots. No problems with my knee after Dr. Bob's treatment. That restricting mobilization is not a solution. In my first injury (1979) the atrophy was worse than the injury. Today they would never use the same method of putting an MCL injury in a cast. Having arthroscopic surgery (2018) did help but the recovery was long. After 1 year I was able to return to snow skiing, achieving my previous activity level. Now with Dr. Bob the importance of staying mobile and active plus his non-evasive treatment has shortened the recovery time. The technology and awareness of new methods has improved greatly and I'm thankful for that! As a person with a very active lifestyle, a hypothyroid condition made me dependent upon Synthroid medication to be able to do what I consider normal activities. But over time, the medication became less effective. Not wanting to increase or add new medications to treat the same condition, and wishing to break the dependency on medication, my wife and me came upon Dr. Bob's program. The first thing is the loss of 25 lb. really without even trying. So, my body found its natural weight. I haven't been at this weight level since high school. The other and perhaps even more important thing was a Mass reduction in inflammation. Left knee pain. Tried chiropractic therapy and other medical procedures over the last 4 years. Nothing seemed to help. If you don't have lots and lots of money prepare to be tossed to the curb. I was lured in with a free class, a wonderful meal and good information. Then came the $49.00 'special' introductory appointment. That led to Robert Milham encouraging me to invest in lab work (not covered by insurance - $800.00). Included with the labs was a 'free' session which was to give me basic guidelines as to what was going on in my body and how to move forward to achieve optimum functioning! Since I'm older and have a ton of health problems, that sounded great ... right? NOT RIGHT. The free interpretive session to go over the labs is yet another come-on. For a mere $5,000 to $8,000 - (cash, credit card, or 90 day payment plan) you too can engage in the Dr. Bob Get Better Program! I believe the labs can be useful - saliva and urine tests not used by western medicine. I also believe that this guy is smart and knows his stuff. My EXPERIENCE, however, was that the explanation was complex and confusing. He avoided answering direct questions regarding basics like diet and exercise. He WOULD NOT let me record the explanatory session despite the fact that I have a brain injury and memory problems. He refused to provide me with a written explanation of the lab results. They DID provide me a copy of the results. There isn't an ounce of caring or concern for me as a patient or human being. If you don't have lots and lots of money, prepare to be tossed to the curb. I don't have that many thousands of dollars for Dr. Bob ... so I'm left to stand in the street and waste away for all they care. He does neck and spine manipulation which, in my experience of going to various chiropractors for almost a decade, is the most effective way to fix related issues. I've been going to Dr. Bob for 5-years and have achieved "wellness" status where I go periodically, generally for "tweaking" adjustments. There are times though when I find I have a new or reoccurring problem, and I am pleased to say that he always has the proper adjustment technique. I have been going to Wake Integrated Health located in Apex, NC for approximately 4 1/2 months in the functional medicine program. Dr. Bob and his wife Sara are truly invested in providing their patience root cause to their health problems. Before I came to Dr. Bob, I have gone to Raleigh, Duke and UNC Neurology over several years that incorporated many MRI test, EMGs and even a nerve biopsy test which were costly procedures leading to no conclusions to my chronic nerve pain. I was also sent to pain management which only provided temporarily relief through steroid shots or increasing my prescription drug intake. I went to Dr. Bob since I was looking for a holistic approach to get to the root cause of my nerve pain and ultimately get off my medications. Dr. Bob took the time and actively listened to my story in order to devise a unique and individual plan to address my chronic pain in order to get to root cause of my problem. My therapy consists of functional medicine, chiropractic and laser treatments as well as nutritional classes to provide a comprehensive approach to healing.
