Sue Horlick, one of the PA's in the office, told my friend that she could give her epinephrine shot but would then need to call an ambulance or I could take my friend the the ER, which was less than a mile from this office. We elected to just go to the ER. My friend was emotional and scared because the cause of the reaction was unknow. As we were leaving Sue Horlick said, "Don't go to Chick-Fil-A first, go right to the ER. WHAT?? Why would you say something so unprofessional to someone who is looking for help. Maybe work on your empathy a tad! Good grief!

Very good experience, everybody was very professional and kind, not a long wait and I felt like I received very good care . Highly recommend this location ! Wake Med has wonderful staff and they're all very caring, I have no issues with anyone we've encountered here. My most recent visit was for an infected abscess. We spent a good 4+ hours in the waiting room for something that took maybe 15 minutes total to get looked at. Insurance covered $3xx out of the $15xx bill. I received one antibiotic pill, a bottle of wound spray, and a wrap. Healthcare in this country is so ridiculously expensive and outright unaffordable. The restroom was a bit dirty which is surprising for a hospital. There were dirty paper towels on the floor. Overall, I try to avoid this hospital as much as possible, and unfortunately, that means waiting until last minute. It's just too expensive and wait times are horrible here.
