I love this place! Staff is always so friendly, helpful, and make the best coffee ever!!!!! I come every time we're in this area and often I'll come just to get some wake up. My mom who lives in Maryland loves this place and we come just about everyday for their coffee. I've converted my husband who's a Starbucks fan and now loves Wake Up more! I would definitely recommend this place. They also have some goodies to eat. It's just an all around great coffee spot wether you're on the go or have time to come in, sit, and relax. They have great coffee and great service too. The breakfast sandwiches are so GOOD. The Nitro Cold Brew is also very tasty as well. I love the shop vibes and the drive thru. Okay to start if you have not been here you need to go at least once. Your life will not be complete without the taste of their glorious coffee. What you order is what you get, their prices are super awesome, their staff is even more awesome, and they are FAST. So fast Jimmy John's looks slow in comparison. Seriously if they have a line no worry, I was car number 7 and I was out in 6 min. How do they do that you ask? Well they send their magical memory ladies out to get everyone's orders. Then when you pull up to the window your coffee/tea/breakfast/morning crack/cappuccino/frappuccino/ and whatever else you order is already made. I used to be a Starbucks addict. And now I realize how much better coffee can taste! I used to always go to the Evergreen location but so glad the South Hill finally has one! (Time to head to the Northside!) Amber (I think she is a manager?) is so fantastic and has trained the crew well, I don't know how they remember 4-5 cars' worth of drinks at a time. The drinks are always delicious. They have 3 "specialty drinks" that are fantastic, standard coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, and even delicious breakfast bagels. 1. They ditch you while you are asking questions about their food menu to physically walk out of the building and go take other cars' orders. 2. Once they come back to actually help the person AT the window, they rush you. If you have a question about their breakfast bagels, you are seriously so annoying because time is money. 3. Immediately after ringing you up they force you to move your car forward and even park it and wait for them to bring out your coffee. Or in the case of what happened this most recent time, they made me drive to the OTHER window after I paid to wait for my drink/food. And I kid you not- a car got there right before me, and I HAD TO WAIT IN LINE AGAIN even though I had already paid. You guys, it is infuriating. They are these little dictators who think they're cool- it is the weirdest vibe/culture.... 3. When they come out to you in the drive through, they do this weird thing where they try to be cool and "memorize" many drinks at once because they don't write them down. And I am not kidding...when they've done that, they've gotten my drink wrong every. Single. Time. 4. Even if you're a lucky one that they only make drive forward a little so they can ring up the car behind you while you wait for your drink, you have no ability to see a menu anymore or ask and questions. Or correct the milk they're pulling out because 75% of the time they do the wrong milk. IF I ever go back there again, I am going to flat out refuse to move my car in any way shape or form until I physically have my coffee in my hand. Wakeup call is a good coffee place, but they always seem to mess up my order. I always get an iced white chocolate americano but lately it comes out either hot, or as a latte. I think it's way to busy and the employees move too fast to remembe orders.I'm not generally picky but if I'm paying $4 for a drink I want it to be right. This was my first time at Wake Up Call. The girls were all very friendly with me and each other it was a very relaxed environment. I can tell that they enjoy their job and working together. I asked for a recommendation since I'm new to this establishment and was told the special was Love Potion #9. I gave it a shot exactly how she recommended it and it was absolutely amazing!! Prices are very reasonable as well, maybe even better than most other coffee shops because the quality of the service and drinks is above expectations. Really inconsistent. I order the same drink every time, and it's never the same. Pretty simple drink: nitro cold brew, light cream, caramel sauce. You would think that would be straight forward enough, but nope. I know my espresso. I am very picky when it comes to the taste of my drinks. It doesn't matter which baristas make my drink, it is perfect every time. My traditional drink is a 16oz triple iced caramel latte with non fat milk. No other espresso stand or cafe even comes close for some reason. Went there a couple weeks ago. Ordered two drinks and when one girl bent over to grab the glasses her hair was all over the counter and other cups. I watched yet another girl playing with her hair while working with food. I myself feel they should at the very least have their hair in a pony tail. Made me sick so won't go back.
