That was spot on, and I just happened to time it when they had gotten a large shipment of books in, with some mainstream authors like Katee Roberts and Tessa Bailey in there. I ended up with a stack of 5 hardcovers and 1 paperback for under $30. But I recognize the luck of that, so I didn't test it any further by browsing any other sections, so I also really can't attest to the rest of the store. However the woman working the register was very nice, and she let me know shipments come in on Fridays, so weekends and Mondays are your best days to shop after everything has been refreshed.

For many of my American friends, they tend to rate this specific store "standard fare" well it may be standard for them but for me the selection and pricing was fab! Lots of things to find, if you have the mind to search for it all. Shelves were often bare which made you think if they actively worked to make sure they replenished stock quickly enough. Spending time here allowed us to find quite a few neat things, for sure! There was a staffer working with a leg cast, to which I had to shake my head at. Good ol' American health care system. No express lane, which is dumb given it's 2019 and sometimes folks just need 1-2 things and should have to wait behind folks with full carts.

This is the face of the mall situation in America, many store closures and vacant space. Only a couple anchor departement stores remain (Target, Sears, JC Penney, Dicks) and a movie theater. The Bon Ton has now closed as well. There are a few other businesses that can be interesting such as Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret and Planet Fitness gym however there isn't really much to spend money on. The mall is spread out and quite spacious however as you walk through the empty areas it just has a depressing vibe and doesn't entice you to stay inside. Unfortunately, because there aren't enough good stores to generate foot traffic, I suspect the smaller businesses will just keep on shutting down. There is only 1 restaurant and 1 fast food option a the tiny food court, so definitely don't plan to spend an afternoon here. I walked through the whole thing and was in and out in about half an hour. We later went across the street to Walmart and had a better time there. Aviation Mall is within proximity of a major tourist spot, it is unfortunate that it cannot be sustained.

The four outlet shopping centers are located within walking distance of each other, so you can park once and shop all day. Yes, half of the stores are across the busy road so you can road is diving this outlet in two parts. It is located just off Exit 20 of the Adirondack Northway (I-87) and only two miles south of Lake George Village. Each center has public restrooms, an ATM machine, and vending machines filled with cold drinks. Tip: don't be confused, While this entire half-mile strip is referred to as "The Outlets", there are currently four distinct centers: Adirondack Outlet Mall, French Mountain Commons, Log Jam Outlet Center and The Outlets at Lake George East and West. Spend your day perusing the miles of aisles at this massive shopping complex on State Route 9 in Lake George.

This store has been rearranged a bit; I came here years ago when I was growing up in the area & the juniors section is now the underwear section, the shoe section has shrunk to make room for the massive clearance section, and there's a decent sized Sephora in there now. So you might have to wander a bit to find what you're looking for, but there'll be plenty of sales as you do wander.
