Second, it is located close to my house so I could get to the store and back quickly. Lastly, it's the customer service. I am one of those DIY guy who needs lots of directions. And Gaurav is one of the best guys I ran into who was able to set me straight with my multiple weekend projects. He asked all the right questions even though I didn't ask any questions and thought I knew exactly what I needed (watched way too many YouTube videos). I just had the worst customer service experience at this store. The rep Emir does not know how to…read morematch colors or sheen and expects the customer to do it for him. He was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills, even humiliating me and questioning my intelligence in front of other customers. In response to my request to get as close a match as possible, he went into hypotheticals, asking what if he's new at the store, implying that I should be responsible for making sure the match is correct. I simply asked him if he'd rather I go some place else. I ended up driving to Sherwin-Williams in Paramus and received a whole lot better treatment and service, along with a really good match to my paint. When I related my experience with them, even they could not believe it. Not sure what's going on with the Ridgewood branch, but that is not a good way to treat your customers if you want your business to succeed.
