Customer service in the Pharmacy severely lacking. If a perscription is outta stock, good luck, they will get around to it. For me, I had to suffer withdrawls, Six days later and still waiting. They finally got it in, and sat in the locked bin another day. They my daily visit to see if this customer oriented organization had time to get my late script ready only to find out my insurance wanted to obtain doctor preauthorization for two tablets script instead of one tablet script, for a med I have been on for 10 years without change. Its not Walgreens fault for the silly preauthorization, which they hope you get frustrated and not get them to save the insurance company money, so so executive can get an undeserved bonus. Walgreens could have tried to get things ready faster, maybe obtained the meds from another Walgreens or something, but they waited to determine that before the 3 day holiday weekend without meds. I am still without them, healthcare, should be "dont give a damn" lip service that they care. Last month I lived through the had the meds, but the computer showed they were put. They didnt even take the effort to see if the med they were reporting on the worthless app was not in stock. After I insisted to check and watching rolling eyes, found the meds that time, only 5 days late. Yes, I went through withdrawls then too. Walgreens does noy hire sufficient staff, after waiting to hear the pharmacist compain to whoever boss he was talking to about not having enough time for their "high volume" store and how he was wornout, overworked. I decided to help and will not ever go back as a ustomer. Just want to help them and go to a pharmacy that wants my business. read more

The store if fine but the pharmacy is TERRIBLE. I have been using the pharmacy for quite some time and they always seem unorganized with poor customer service. Wait times are long and they often have "system issues" or can't run the insurance (I have Blue Cross and nowhere else has a problem). Twice my doctor has called in a prescription and a few HOURS later I have driven by to pick it up and it was unavailable/out of stock - you would think they could call the patient and let them know so the patient could make other arrangements before it is 7:30pm at night and too late to call the doctor back! I can understand 1 or 2 bad experiences, but I consistently have had issues with this pharmacy and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I can't give it zero stars. When it first opened, it was a nice addition to a town that needed another drug store. When we lost Eckerd to a buy-out, we moved all our Rx here. Later, that became a mistake as this store featured the most mismanaged pharmacy I've ever experienced. I tried letting the store know that, then Walgreens Customer Service, then both, before giving up on them and moving to Rite-Aid across the street. Lo and behold, everything was WONDERFUL there... until last month, after they were bought out by Walgreens and closed. We just tried our first 2 Rx back at this store, and both of them were delayed, lost and/or we couldn't pick them up two days after they were supposed to be due. I don't think this happens at other Walgreens', or at least it's not fair to assume they do. All I know is that this is still the most mismanaged and frustrating pharmacy I have EVER tried using, and now it's an ineptness marathon. Beware the drive-thru; you will usually be the 9th car in line and idle for 45 minutes before getting to the window to hear the latest excuse about why your scripts aren't ready. I'm informing all our providers to start sending our family's Rx to a nearby grocery store pharmacy instead. I WILL NOT use this Walgreens ever again- been there, done that, have the fist-clench marks, gritted teeth, high blood pressure records and PTSD to prove it. read more

The pharmacy is terrible. Our meds are never ready on time, they lose prescriptions or say they never received it or say refill was never called in. We have been customers for a long time but will not be going back. I am not sure what is going on but they need to get their act together. read more

Good morning everyone, I use Walgreens all the time at different locations and I was excited to find one that was close to my home. With that said, the excitement turned to anger, and dread. This location really needs to work on there customer service and with there management team, I went in to purchase some products and when I got to the checkout I was ID'ed for a pack of cigarettes and was told that is company policy, however that is fine if you look younger then 25 years old. However I look no where near that age plus when you see them sale a pack of cigarettes to someone to look 15 years old and didn't ask for there ID hummmmm where's the company policy at there? I asked for management well he was on a register, I asked why I was picked out to show my id and he looked at the cashier and she was mouthing company policy at that point I was so angry I asked for there corporates number and he couldn't even give it to me....this store in my opinion needs to get rid of some people there and train there employees better!!!!!! I will NEVER go back there again. Plus I will be notifying a lot of my friends and families to stay away from this store!!!!!! read more

I had the most amazing experience at Walgreens the other day. I felt compelled to write about it! I go to Walgreens all of the time if I need bread or laundry detergent (something small) and don't want to go to the real grocery store. So the other day I went in and I planned just to buy a soda, but then realized that the macaroni and cheese was on sale. My hands were full. An employee noticed my problem and quickly rushed over with a basket to put my things in. I then went and looked at the makeup. I ended up with a new mascara. The makeup was on sale and if you bought one thing you got the second item for 50% off. So I bought two mascaras. When I got to the register to pay I did not have to wait in a long line and the cashier exceeded my expectations when it came to being polite. In addition to the amazing customer service I received and great discounts the cashier also helped me save a few more dollars with a coupon that she had by the register. I ended up with two 2 liter sodas, two mascaras, and four boxes of macaroni and cheese. I only paid $5.65. The mascara was originally $9.00 by itself. This Walgreens always has what I am looking for, the staff is amazing and helpful, and the store is always clean. I go out of my way sometimes to get the this Walgreens rather than going to another drug store that might have similar products. In fact I have only visited the drugstore across the street from this location once. read more

I have been using the pharmacy here for 5 years and it's always a long wait. The employees always seem to be running around in a state of panic. It's always a frustrating, long wait here. I'm done with them and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The only reason this location gets two stars, and I'd better post this before I feel less charitable and reduce it to one, is the NON-PHARMACY shopping it provides. Convenient, nice photo products, etc. Otherwise, for pity's sake, DO NOT use the pharmacy if you're looking for a drug store in Apex. I've been here since 2002, and originally used the Eckerd's across the street (so did almost everyone else, unless they went into Cary, because it was the only one available). Grew up with both Eckerd's and Walgreens and had great brand images of both, so when this store opened AND Eckerd's sold out to Rite Aid (which that store is now), which I have traditionally not used or liked, switching to Walgreens was a no-brainer. No problems for years-- and then, about a year or so ago, something happened: the pharmacy at this location started sucking big-time. Slowly at first- Rx not ready yet, long waits inside, long waits at drive-thru, etc. Over the last 4-6 months in particular, I have been in pharmacy hell on EVERY VISIT, including last night's visit-- told "20 to 25 minutes," went off to run other errands before coming back better than half an hour later (figured that was safe b/c the pharmacy was DEAD when I dropped off the Rx- no other customers at all) through the drive-thru, waited 10 minutes before I got to the window, a different pharm tech then told me Rx wasn't ready yet and asked if I could wait 20-25 minutes MORE. I said "no" and explained why (family member with terrible symptoms- had they accurately told me to wait an hour when I dropped it off, I would have taken the Rx to a competitor immediately). I also then called Walgreen's Customer Service AGAIN (called them a month ago despite not being a natural complainer, but my last experience was similar) and told the customer service rep my plight-- this is roughly the 9th-10th time over the last six months something major like this has happened- and lo and behold, while I was talking to the phone rep, someone in the other drive-thru lane was ALSO told she had to wait and she cut loose with an explanation that she was given a confirmed pick-up time, it was an hour past that time, and she too was put under a hardship because of the pharmacy staff's incompetence. I had a good 7-10 minute chat with the customer service rep, during which time I told her repeatedly that I blamed myself for trusting this particular Walgreen's again with this Rx after telling myself the last time that I should never use them again, but the rep on the last call told me that they will "look into this and certainly work hard to make fast changes to make things better." Boy, if this was making things better... ouch. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Current refills at this location are being transferred to either Rite-Aid (which has a drive-thru too) across the street, or to the grocery store pharmacy nearby which, despite NOT having a drive-thru, always seems when I'm in there to give prompt and courteous service and get people's scripts out on time and with no hassle. I will not give any new future scripts to this Walgreens store until they clean out the incompetence with pharmacy management (and/or store management). hire the people they need to hire to get the job done adequately and train and pay them to give them a reason to stay (one manager with whom I spoke a few trips ago in store tried to explain they've had a hard time keeping pharma staff. Well then MAKE THINGS BETTER for good people that come so they STAY! How hard can that be?), and/or do something to alleviate the serious problems that continue to plague their pharma service. If you don't believe anything I'm saying, that's ok- try it for yourself if you dare. As for me, Apex now has too many other good pharmacy options to continue masochistically giving this Walgreens my future business. read more

I just came out of surgery about 73 hours ago and I was in pretty considerable amount of pain. I had one prescription to be filled and it was a pain killer. I am drug addict but I do have a document condition that causes a high level pain. i was first told my order would be ready in 30. After about 35 minutes, I heard my last name get called, I was told it would be a little longer. 20 minutes later, I check and still not ready. 10 minutes later, I check and still not ready but i was told just about 4 minutes, so i stood in incredible pain because now my legs have swelled up and walking was going to be very painful. When I finally got the order I see Pharmacist put a children's liquid medicine dispenser in with the liquid medicine, NOT funny. Secondly, one of the two bottles is seal from the manufacturer. So it took this pharmacist 1 hours and 10 minutes to pour 250 ml of pain medicine. The excuse I go for why it took so long, well the pharmist has to fill your order so that is why it took so long. Well if that is case then when the BUS driver has to drive the bus, it should take extra long to a designation. Stay clear of this place until new management is in place or the staff manures. read more

I will give this Store -*******BELOW ZERO,It was A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE,I walked in with my Husband and always holding hands,The cashier was looking at us with one eye(We are Gay).So I went to buy some cleaning products and my Husband wanted cigarettes.The time came to be at the cash register,I asked my husband if he wanted to pay card or cash,We decided cash and I pull out my wallet to give him some cash,The cash Register Old Lady said 'I need to see some I.D,I said for what?cause of the cigarettes.I said to her'Do you see Justin Bieber or two grown Men in front of you.I am not going to be harassed like that when other people on the other cash register buying cigarettes and not even showing I.D and they look like below 17 or being told to show I.D, We ask the manager for the 1800 number to file a complaint and he didn't even know the number,SERIOUSLY????,He gave us a receipt and has the number at the back AGAIN SERIOUSLY???That makes you think,Not going back!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
