Had an appointment for a vaccine at 4. Showed up early and walked up to the Consultation window and the disinterested pharmacist told me to go sit in the chairs and someone would check me in. 10+ min later, nothing. Walked up to the pick up window and the guy tells me I was supposed to wait in the pick up line. He processes my check in and tells me to stand next to the sign that says for vaccine administration. We've been standing here for more than 40 min and no one has done anything. They have 5+ workers and they're just ignoring people waiting in line for the vaccine. Walgreens is one of those places that you never really think of...or at least I don't. This location is 24 hours and I think the only times I go to this place is when I need something specific. Otherwise Walmart is cheaper, and CVS is closer. I was actually in a bind and needed to develop some photos for a bridal shower I was hosting and Walgreens photo was very reliable. AND they had a 40% off prints coupon and i paid less than $2 for my photos. I was happy with the quality of the prints ( bc Walmart has not been so great ) and i forget that no one really goes here. Walgreens in Artesia is located on Pioneer and Artesia; convenient to the 91 freeway (Pioneer Blvd. Exit). The parking lot has plenty of parking, in fact, I have never seen this lot full. This particular Walgreens has Artesia clothing such as sweatshirts and t-shirts. If you need to go to the bathroom, ask an employee to unlock the door for you, but it is located in the back by the toothpaste/toothbrush shelf unit. My favorite aisle is the one with the "As Seen On TV" products, I am a fan of these inexpensive gadgets that seem to be more of a novelty. The photo service area had one employee working at the time and he wasn't too confident on how to make photo books that were 2 sided (one star off). There are 3 cash registers, but sometimes only one is being operated. The pharmacy never looks real busy to me; it is located in the far back right corner of the store. The best part about this place is that it is open 24 hours! read more

Honestly, I have experience better in other Walgreens than this location. It says that they are open 24 hours open in website and yelp sites, but actually pharmacy is not open 24 hours so they always make you confuse. It's located centrally and have nice parking, but when we went there was only one staff and super busy as well. There was no notice outside in the drive through about pharmacy hours. read more

Pharmacy Dept was very helpful! Came in because I was getting over a cold/flu and had a lot of congestion. So I walked over to the Pharmacy under the consultation sign and one of the pharmacist came over and asked what I needed. I told him what I was feeling and suggested what I should take. Explained what the differences was with the other medication and I was off. I give this place 4 stars because it seemed like their prices was a bit high or so it seemed. I waited and waited, while the system told me: only one caller ahead of you, you are next... yet, nothing. UNACCEPTABLE "service." Taking my business elsewhere. ------------------ Another incident: Got through to a pharmacist on the phone (another long wait), but she refused to tell me whether they had the medication in stock, unless I came in with my script. She was very unyielding and just simply inconsiderate of the customer's time or request. NO OTHER pharmacy location (CVS, Ralph's, Vons, Costco) refused to let me know if the medication was in stock or not. They just told me, right on the phone. Poor, poor service. read more

I've always been more of a fan of CVS, but had a massive headache and just dropped by Walgreens b/c it was the closest pharmacy/drugstore. It's really easy to find what you're looking for at this location. Everything is well organized and there's huge signs just in case you don't automatically find what you're looking for. The shelves are well stocked and everything is well organized making for a seamless trip. The only downside to this place is that they don't have enough cashiers and the lines get pretty long. Other than there isn't too much to hate about Walgreens, but then again there isn't anything spectacular about it either. read more

This is mostly for the pharmacy, which is offering flu shots for $25 (Sep09). I dropped in, filled out some paperwork, and then they ran my insurance and found I qualified for a $10 flu shot! I was all set to pay the $25 (Costco is $20, but no drop in, so long lines.) I was very surprised to find a place that was this detail oriented. The rest of the store is pretty generic and deals the best they can with the fairly deranged customers that come out only when it's dark. read more

This is my home Walgreens. It's busy but they are nice and accommodating. The drive thru is convenient.

I get to the counter and let the manager (or someone dressed like a manager) know that my doctor called in my prescription half an hour ago so I'm here to pick up. So he says, it will be about 15-20min. I wait and about 20min later I come back to the counter. Another lady comes and says, it will be about 15-20 more minutes. I leave and come back about 30min later. The same lady proceeds to inform me that my prescriptions are not ready yet and types something into the computer. She then asks me for my insurance card and checks that. After 10 minutes of standing there she finally tells me that they don't take my insurance and suggests I go to CVS across the street. It took an hour for them to tell me that, and there were only about 3-5 people in the waiting area the entire time I was there. Terrible communication and time management. read more

Cashier named Summer was SUPER RUDE! I was asking why I didn't get a register reward for the transaction I made. She checked the ad and I did too but the item I'm purchasing did not come with a deal this week, it was actually from last week. She said that everytime she deals with me that I always have issues with coupons. I have came to this Walgreens for years and never really had an issues but some people that work here have really bad attitudes and this time I came on Christmas Eve, I came across the cashier with the worst of attitudes. Let me start by saying if you don't want to work on Christmas Eve then go home. Don't roll your eye at customers and make annoying sounds under your breathe because you want to be home for the holidays. First she doesn't even say Hi as I approach the checkout, then takes my items rings them up and leaves them there, wasn't even going to offer me a bag. Then looks at me like it's my fault for asking for a bag, didn't know bags were in such a demand that I have to ask for them. On top of it I tell her Merry Christmas and doesn't even say a word, wow she seemed like she hated life, I went to inform the rest of my family still shopping about this woman's attitude and as I exit the store she is starring me down, Walgreens I know you can do a better job of hiring your employees, or maybe this is the reason this location has 2 store review too. It has every random thing you can think of to help you outlast those pesky flesh-eaters - printer cartridges, bear claws, Hawaiian shirts, candy, weird toys, reading materials, Tampico (orange, mango, and island punch), humidifiers, lounge pants, and etc. The only thing that's missing is a partner to help you repopulate the Earth. There's a reason they have poor ratings. Manager Ryan is lazy and rude. Instead of trying to help or explain more clearly why I couldn't return an unopened item (which the very nice and helpful employees at the Lakewood Walgreens told me over the phone was acceptable), he took his sweet time buying his Cheetos, and basically rolled his eyes at me when I was being polite about my valid inquiries. He just kept saying it's the store's policy, however nowhere on my receipt nor on Walgreens website did it state the item was nonreturnable. In fact the receipt said "easy returns." This guy's attitude and laziness is not management material. He acted like I was majorly inconveniencing him to do HIS JOB. I regret apologizing for the bother. It didn't make sense to have to drive across town to a different Walgreens for a valid return. I finally got through to Corporate, and the HELPFUL customer relations rep was very competent at her job, explained everything clearly, and gave me a refund. And no, I didn't go Karen on anybody. Is it too much to ask for basic customer service/help these days? Apparently yes at Artesia Walgreens. Please save yourself from frustration and go to a different location. read more

Never used their pharmacy so this only applied to the general store. Things were never in stock here so I wouldn't even bother coming in. I found some expired Tylenol on the shelves so I learned to always check dates here. You would think something so common like Tylenol wouldn't sit on the shelf forever until expiration! The photo department was slow. There was no other print job ahead of mine but it would still take them 45 min to print one simple picture. They took their sweet time to chitchat with each other first before finally decided to get to work. read more

I am hoping this gets to the Supervisor of Walgreens. On 5/25/2016 a wonderful worker named Alex. He went out of his way to help my elderly Mom. Her Novelas magazine is important to her. At age 83 yrs young. Alex not only went to the back warehouse to get her the latest magazine. His upbeat attitude on his job and customer service is a delight to see in today world. I look forward to meeting him. Hire more like him. His shift had him in the store at 11:56 am. I hope he gets the Supervisor attention. 8/22/2016 Taking care of a parent 24/7. This review is for their pharmacy. I came here to pick up me and my wife's prescription, and I asked about my wife's insurance. The Pharm tech did so but then for some reason also checked up mines. Because she did that on 1/2, and I dropped off the presumption on 12/31, the cost of my prescription went up from $4 to $46. So talking to the pharm tech cost me $42 and 20 minutes. I don't know if she was new, or just confused, don't know why she checked on my prescription, it was all ready to go to get paid, but she screwed us over badly. The prescription wasn't ready until today so not sure why she checked on mines for the new year switch... Go somewhere else for your prescriptions! read more

Seriously terrible customer service. You can be sitting at the drive up window and the pharmacy staff will walk right by and NEVER acknowledge that you are even there. Even when your Rx is ready and they have texted you, when you arrive to pick it up they tell you it will be 30 min? What's the point of the text then? Seriously this pharmacy needs to treat people better and get some staff who have the desire to help others. Just went in to pick up some eye drops for my daughter, which had a coupon according to the label. At the register they rang up regular price and when I tried telling the girl (Vaiola was her name) she just told me "no its regular price." Never bothered checking like all the other cashiers, I had to be the one to walk back and verify the label once again. I'm not sure where the normal friendly cashiers were tonight but this girl is simply rude and has no business interacting with customers. read more

Not a huge fan of this location. The one in Cypress has way better customer service and professionalism. Today, came in to buy vitamins and gift cards. The first thing when coming in...cashier was sitting by the register on her phone...no greeting/welcome. Then when I was ready to pay she was taking to an employee that was off. I stood there for a couple of minutes before they finished. Smh. Then as I was paying with my credit card, at first she said you cannot pay for gift cards with a credit card. That is the strangest thing I have heard. You are a large chain store! Her shift leader came by and said it was fine as long as you check ID. I asked her if she was new and she said no. Really? Avoid the photo department of this store like the plague. The staffs are rude and doesn't care about getting the job done right. I ordered a collage print and when I went to pick it up, there is a large crease in it which make the print usable. I asked them to reprint it and told them I will come back another time to pick it up. Came back 2 days later and it was not reprinted. They said the photo is not in there system anymore and I will have to recreate the collage again. Any decent person would have reprinted the photo right away the first time if the photo came out with a crease in it, yet the staff at this location think it is ok to sell you a photo that is damage and unusable. read more
